IMO
MMTC ~ Here are another couple of thoughts........ great thoughts IMO....... Im sure most have thought this like me.....but just to bring it up again. When I called the AOAC they informed me Listeria was up to date. From what I had found online Listeria is the hardest to recognize......but first here is a PR once again announcing OSI Optoelectronics as the manufacturer of the MIT1000a....of course now OSI is producing even more MIT1000's....... as production has increased per MMTC's most recent PR. What Im saying is how could MMTC be Publically announcing this since Tuesday March 1, 2011. Wouldn't OSI Optoelectronics have caught onto the "sham" by now?? IMO of course they would have by now!......but it looks to be........as I have always thought.....OSI Optoelectronics is really producing the MIT1000a, only they are increasing production!
Micro Identification Technologies, Inc.
OSI Optoelectronic previously announced on January 4, 2011 that it had received the first production MIT 1000 System from OSI Optoelectronics (OSIO), a subsidiary of OSI Systems. MIT now announces that after rigorous evaluation and performance testing in its laboratories, the System passed all tests and is now ready for volume production.
MIT contracted with OSIO in 2010 to manufacture MIT's Rapid Microbial Identification System, the MIT 1000. OSIO has manufacturing facilities in California, Malaysia and India. "All of OSIO's world class facilities are ISO 9001:2000 certified, FDA registered and GMP compliant making them a perfect company to fabricate MIT's Systems for its food safety applications and its planned pharmaceutical and clinical diagnostic applications," stated Michael Brennan, MIT's Chairman.
The MIT 1000 Rapid Microbial Identification System can identify bacteria in less than five minutes after culturing and at a cost of less than 10 cents per test. The MIT 1000 is a certified AOAC Research Institute (RI) test method for Listeria ( current and on file to date), one of three bacteria (the others are Salmonella and E.coli) that are responsible for most (99%) of the worldwide food contamination events. The AOAC Research Institute reviewed the MIT 1000 System's user software, bacteria identification test procedures, system user documentation, and after a lengthy independent test cycle, certified the MIT 1000 System for Listeria identification and accuracy, and system ruggedness.
MIT is in the process of preparing for Identification and Accuracy Certifications for E.coli and Salmonella. When ready, the Certification testing is expected not to exceed two months.
OK this is old from Tuesday march 1, 2011...I know some say if OSIS was producing then why hasnt it sold yadda yaddda.....what Im saying is dont you think a company like OSIS would have called a spade a spade if MMTC was misintentionally advertising OSI Optoelectronics as the manufacturer of its MIT's since 3/01/11. I mean thats pleny of time to "get wind" of whats going on. LOL to funny. No IMO they are in fact producing and ramping up production of the MIT's. Hello Sales. Wait till we got all three certified and the "system ruggedness" seal of approval. I cant wait.
IMO
MMTC ~ Churn baby churn, appetite time bon appetit lol . Let's turn and burn, north that is. Chomp Chomp Gobble.
IMO
MMTC ~ I just dont see .001 coming. Today some big sells, but who bought those shares, musta been the little green gnome with the slingshot lol. Ya today we saw a light drizzle....can't wait for the tsunami. IMO
MMTC ~ Ya someone was comfortable with opening the floodgates a little tiny bit.
IMO
MMTC ~ IMO the time for the MIT1000a is now, think its not as drastic of a change as viewed years ago and soon with certs it will be substantiated IMO. We need something better and faster to test our food, market is huge IMO. I think things like the food modernization act showing up........just proves that testing for food needs to be improved and is a concern. I think the food industry realizes the need for improvement/change in its testing methods. Even the medical community has this need. Having all three certs proving the MIT1000a can accurately and consistently identify the three strains of bacteria that are responsible for 99% of all food induced illness is huge. Like a warranty from an unbiased source for an expensive and important piece of equipment that saves or destroys lives. This is why Im so excited about getting certs. I think we have a way early jump on other techs available currently in the R&D stage. I think we are the best of whats available currently and I think the need and demand is way past due....hence things like the food modernization act. I think once we have certs, this thing will sell big time.....and the market is in the billions. All In My Opinion.
IMO
MMTC ~ I still think the article below is a good read.......... IMHO certification is almost required. This is a new/disruptive technology and testing food requires the utmost seriousness/accuracy in its methods. I posted a clipping of an interesting article I was reading that kind of addresses the need for Certification or "proof" that this new technology is accurate but also consistent 100% of the time when testing things consumed by humans, any error could make someone extremely ill or even be fatal. Here is the clip, I posted the link at the end of this post. In My Opinion.
..........The PAT initiative describes a regulatory framework that encourages the voluntary development and implementation of innovative approaches in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing and quality assurance (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, November/December 2004, p. 41). Many new technologies are currently available that provide information on physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics of materials to improve process understanding and to measure, control and/or predict product quality and performance. However, RMMs have not yet been widely implemented within the pharmaceutical industry due to concerns about validation and the need to prove the technologies’ “comparability” with existing methods, worries about return on investment (ROI) and regulatory uncertainty.
Many forward-looking microbiologists working at pharmaceutical companies are frustrated by their management’s hesitancy to approve the use of RMMs. Typically, these managers fear that the company won’t be able to make a compelling case to regulators that the new methods work as well or better than technologies that the company already uses, or that there’s not enough guidance available to validate a new method and/or laboratory system.

IMO
MMTC ~ I agree. MMTC's Tech is awesome and needed in my opinion.
IMO
MMTC ~ Hungry Hungry Hippos lol.
IMO
MMTC ~ Someone wants to gobble 5,000,000 shares right now.
IMO
MMTC ~ This is part of the PR most recent..... it makes me optimistic about MMTC IMO.......
MIT is the recipient of the prestigious AOAC RI Certification for the identification of Listeria -- the bacteria responsible for Listeriosis, a rare but lethal food-borne infection that has a devastating fatality rate of 25 percent. MIT with the two additional pathogenic bacteria identifications of E. coli and Salmonella certified will have the proven capability of identifying over 90 percent of all bacteria causing food related illnesses.
Michael Brennan, MIT's Chairman, stated, "The food safety industry is our initial market, where over $5 billion is spent in rapid testing with rapid annually growth -- which should accelerate after the recent food product contamination disclosures and federal legislative actions. Also, the MIT System has demonstrated without any modifications the ability to identify, within several minutes and at a cost of pennies-per-test, over twenty different species of bacteria including the microbes E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA and other pathogenic bacteria."
Plus the part about increasing production volume by OSI Optoelectronics, Inc.
IMO
MMTC ~ Certs = Consistency........which is required when dealing with human lives. Again in my opinion.
IMO
MMTC ~ See the lab testing takes time....but the lab doesn't lie. Once the food/medical/water industry realizes and trust in the fact that the MIT1000a doesn't lie either and in fact tells the truth much much quicker. WOWZA! We got major sales dollars. In My Opinion.
IMO
MMTC ~ Its ok I appreciate your opinion really. I mean its just in my opinion I think that when we get all three certs revenues from the food industry buying the MIT1000a will be huge huge huge. All in my opinion. Thanks
IMO
MMTC ~ LOL you dont just buy a piece of equipment that could kill someone if it is wrong in even one test out of millions and millions of test.........LOL........just plug it on in and say here we go hope you are right machine. This is important and a new tech in comparison to previous methods used. Certs are required.
IMO
