PErhaps that is why the stock volume increased so much....interest in the antisense field....
brit, above on the right, is the CYGX level II quotes....free...
over 250,000 shares sold, last at 29
I take it that 29 was you CD?
good luck, at this rate it probably will get filled....
I am standing by, not buying...no need to....when CYGX does what it is supposed to do, I (and yes, I am about to bring it up again), will happily go on Skooby's vacation (was it a vacation, golf tournament, or just a party)?
does anyone have any ideas why the volume is so much, so early?
now, wouldn"t you call the past hour a little bit of activity?
Still amazing...with all the buys yesterday....MM's still have not raised the bid....
peace,
I wouldn't say the management was "scrounging for financing" as you put it.....
CYGX has been lean and mean for many many years....they can get financing when they need it...period.....as they hopefully will say in 30 - 60 days.
and back to 28
so, we have been closing pretty close to the average number of shares...so I expect a flurry of buying in the next 30 minutes........
hdhick....in defense of skooby,
he never really said Aug. 9th...2004, did he?....LOL, so his prediction is still possible.
perhaps someone should buy 131 shares or 96.875 shares...I think the weird numbers are the trigger.
I don't think Malcolm saying it will. Not until the PR comes out saying CYGX secured X amount of money will the price move....
I just listened to the CEOcast....It really made my day....
when the CEO of a company comes right out and says "look for news on financing in the next 30 - 60 days" that is really cool. Unless of course he comes out and says "we have not been able to get financing" but I really don't think he is going to say that.....
Hopefully it should put most worries to rest on that issue
Not to mention....Malcolm specifically states that they have a mechanism for delivery....
Pretty slow day, I get the feeling that it will either end at 26 or 29 cents...either way, whoever buys or sells will do it at 3:59 and will probably sell/buy 500 shares....
right on Kevb
200 shares sold at .28? after comission....45 dollars? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Galeisme,
oligonucleotide is just a name for the "many-nucleotides" that are either purine (adenine or guanine) or pyrimidine (thymine or cytosine) bases bonded to a sugar.and a phosphate group... the sugar itself is what constitutes the backbone of the DNA./RNA...deoxyribose for the purpose of DNA, ribose for RNA...a single entity, which contains a sugar and and a base is considered a single nucleotide..the linkages between nucleotides are phosphodiester bonds.....when more than one nucleotide is strung together, it is called an oligonucleotide....
here is a nice reference if you want to peruse further.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nucleotides
the patent you refer to, is from Sanofi (pharma that just bought Aventis this year). It is just a chemical modification replacing the phosphodiester bond with an amide bond....the only similarity to CYGX is the fact that they use oligonucleotide in the patent.
8-ball
alot of people here take what Skooby says with a grain of salt, but alot also just take his enthusiasm and temper it a bit.....we still believe in the company, very strongly...alot of us think the time is near.....it is our opinion, but we are entitled.
So please don't get us all confused with the likes of those that are on RB, and you know who they are.
I believe Arnold is pointing to the fact that Phanuel applied for clinical studies prior to getting animal toxicology biodistribution results.....But he can explain his post better than I.
It may have something to do with the lax envirornment in India, but my guess is that there was preliminary data available on toxicology....one or two animals...that led Phanuel to apply for the studies in india....In the US of A we require more....the latest PR stated THREE species of animals.
I stand corrected Holy,
then yes, bless their souls....
holycow, you mean the souls of the non-cygx mice...the cygx mice are just fine.
Ivy League PH.D. Immunology/Oncology,
currently with Large Pharma--research side.
Well, my logic is this...in Large pharma, once a lead candidate has passed PK/PD/ADME and safety issues, it usually goes through a bunch of rounds of internal meetings and prerequisites before it gets submitted to the FDA as a IND/NDA,
CYGX being a little biotech (and I mean in size alone, not in worth)can't and won't do that (the meetings that is), so the next step of going into dogs and submission of the paperwork to the FDA should not be that far off...no, I am not saying next week, but easily in the next couple of months and definitely by the end of the year.
My guess is that the three animals were mouse, rat and rabbit....the next step should be dog and I am highly optomistic that there will be no safety issues there either.
As you know my background suky, the clearance of the safety issue is big...and the efficacy studies, I am confident will come shortly, (as I am sure some are already completed) and I truly believe will have a tremendous impact on the PPS.....
This latest PR is just another example of the hurdles that CYGX has cleared...and for a small OTCBB, it is doing a great job at jumping them.
OF COURSE....ALL OF THIS IN MY OWN OPINION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT I FEEL VERY STRONGLY TOWARDS THE SCIENCE AND THE COMPANY...
neo,
these results weren't supposed to show efficacy...the first step is PK/PD analysis and safety for the animals. There is a certain timeline/protocol that is followed for submission to the FDA...the fact that it cleared ALL safety issues in THREE animals is tremendous......Period....nothing more, nothing less.....many compounds are terminated at this step...that there was no safety issue warrants a PR...and a PR on that subject alone.
The next step should be a doozie.....
do you know if it is a repeat? If not I hope he expands on the current PR...
Golfman,
If you are talking about Embryonic Stem Cells, then I personally do not believe the statement...."An incurable disease in the US is NOT an incurable disease everywhere"."
If royalty gets sick...they come here
If Presidents get sick, they stay here
If the rich get sick, they come here.....unless you want plastic surgery, then you go to sweden or argentina.
How is a stem cell going to kill cancer? Allogenieic stem cell transplantation works, but they do that here too, but that is more of an addition after an ablative therapy. To repopulate the blood cells etc....
I agree with brain disorders, parkinson etc, but the rest, not likely....yet.
I caution you, just because the person is an MD, doesn't make him all knowing...remember, a couple of MDs have claimed to have cloned humans already (in Italy I think).
Embryonic Stem cell tech is advanced oversees because they have less or NO restrictions...but to the extent that they can cure most incurable diseases is ludicrous.
One journal article to support that would be nice, peer reviewd articles are not just from the good ole' US of A.
the main issue with stem cell research is the moral and ethical dilemas associated with harvesting the stem cells from aborted tissue.
There really is no outright connection to stem cell research with CYGX technology. What targets were they focusing on, in the show last night?
Everybody needs to relax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it easy.....I agree with Skooby's observation that it was a direct consequence of someone selling....who? I don't know.....we seem to have stabilized, and now I foresee a consistent upswing....after summer...remember, it is summer. Everyone have a Pina colada, and a smile....
Tatonkano,
great minds think alike.....have a great weekend
I am stating that the proprietary therapies that are being used by Mathis are different. He has the setup for the delivery. that is all. As far as who pays for his time....he does...he works for it, I remind you, he had a very nice position prior to CYGX hiring him as a consultant, and he still does have that position... he is not employed by CYGX, he is not at the CYGX facility, he is a collaborative consultant. The many grants he applied for and probably has are what is paying for his work/lab/existance, and CYGX pays for the use of his vector...CYGX needs him, not visa versa.
I doubt the contract stated that he couldnt work for anyone else....BUT if it did, then that is another story.
My understanding is that two companies can target the same disease state, protein, etc.....with different therapies/modalities...I don't see a conflict. CYGX and Bionomics work differently...they are just using the viral vector. Anyone else have an opinion?
Personally, I hope more companies work on the problem. I am a fan of combinatorial therapies myself.
Bionomics is in Australia. Companies collaborate all the time with medical institutions...It is not uncommon for a researcher to consult/do work for different companies.....they just can't breach the confidentiality agreements. Bionomics, from their website, has no antisense/ssDNA system. They seem to target epilepsy, breast cancer, and angiogenesis. Nothing CYGX has to worry about.
http://www.bionomics.com.au/drug_discovery.asp
Tatonkano,
CYGX can target angiogenesis as well, just target VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) with ssDNA.
Understood, I was having fun there, wasn't sure anyone paid attention over there....
no more responses to "da boys".
Nice market recovery today.....similar to CYGX...now I hope they both continue to go up...
sorry, i typed faster than I thought...you said .25
Sorry, bashing is too strong a word....you stated an opinion, and I disagreed....that's all
No, Once again I read your post....which stated you purchased more at 27 and will double up at 50...then you went on to bash the management...again.....
My point was that, with the evolution of the management, (which includes current management), the price for me has more than quadrupled ( and that is at current levels)...you state you are not bashing, but to me you were (everyone is entitled to their opinion).
YOu asked us to reflect on how the managment has affect our finances...here is the cut an paste for you
"Ask yourselves. What has this management done for each one of you and honestly answer if you have been well served by this management. If you are honest, you will all feel the way I do , except for the RAH RAH BOY, scooby-do, lol. "
I responded that I have no problem with management...
simple enough, I think...maybe you should reread what you posted, then read what i posted.
