Seems to have been a brilliant move to sell at a nickel.
Smart move to suck it up and sell.
Wonder how long until this thing is subpenny.
With the current leadership of the company I would expect soon.
I believe he had recently been in jail once before too.
"I am having trouble getting where this
window company fits into the whole scenario..They are very large and respected business..but window sales and cabinet sales are so far apart in the industry in just about every facet"
This is exactly correct. They aren't a fit. Doesn't mean they couldn't be, but in their current model they are not a fit at all. Keep in mind that they are essentially a franchise company. Nationwide implementation for a company like this is extremely difficult.
"Etc. brand cabinetry orders exceeding $40,000 have been completed"
JD is pretty well connected in the community it seems. At 600-2000 a pop as specified in the CC, its not too hard to get to 40k with some friends and family business.
"Additional shipments with a combined value of over $100,000 are expected to ship in the coming week(s). These shipments are commercial, or residential in nature. The company expects $350,000 plus in etc. brand cabinetry sales by year end. The company anticipates multi-million dollar orders by year end. These anticipated orders will most likely affect 2nd quarter 2010, in terms of sales and positive financial impact"
Hate to beat a dead horse here veno, but Expo PRs that say expected and anticipate might as well say they probably arent going to happen. The dollar figures in Expo PR's mean squat.
"Glenn Harrs, CEO, stated, "We are progressing at a pace in line with management's expectations. However, interest has increased over the past two weeks. We have our initial negotiation with a major home-center chain scheduled for this week. This home-center chain approached the company unsolicited. Additionally, we are preparing for further negotiations with one of our existing larger customers. The company continues to expect light distribution in 2009, with heavier distribution beginning in early 2010. Further updates will be issued."
These negotiations probably didn't go as planned. Obviously there was zero distribution because we cant find it for sale anywhere.
"Etcetera IS a viable business with a product line that is gaining market acceptance, and yes the national retailer is real"
Taking anything Brian says seriously is a mistake. This statement just proves it. If window world was the company they were talking about they are not a nationwide retailer. If it wasn't window world, then the passing away of the window world CEO would not matter to the rollout.
My take on the situation is that JD wanted to sell this product to retailers and distributors as an easy to install DIY product. This type of marketing was obviously a failure as it is not a "no tools required" project. Retailers also would have seen through this. They would have also seen the complete lack of marketing support coming from the manufacturer.
So where would that have left JD? Take his ball and go home? I doubt it.
He would have needed to find a new approach. Enter Window World. His own update admits difficulty and then the complete lack of marketing efforts for etc. would fit with Window World being the main focus. Why care about website updates or how high you come up in searches if you are going to be moving to a Window World sales concept?
Build some mini etc. cabinets and send people door to door. An installation team gets rid of any question mark about whether or not they are actually easy to install.
Such a rollout would take a very long time, because as I said they are franchisees and licensed sellers not corporate governed nationwide.
All of this is of course IMO.
its the 10k so they have longer.
what a shock. Below a penny.
The slow bleed continues as shares are likely sprinkled on the market.
so the recommendation is to call and ask a CEO who is suffering the loss of a possible long time friend questions about some pics that could easily be answered here?
Wow.
Thats cold.
Poor guy just can't get a break.
His shareholders demand that he answer questions all day every day.
etc was *tested* a few times over
long before the *launch* date of
9/15/09
So you can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that the installed cabinetry pictures from July 2008 are in fact etc? Specifically the pictures on the expo site that say "before" and "after" on them?
If you say yes, I will take your word for it.
just an fyi I am still waiting for an email from management for some etc. pictures.
Guess they only give info to those they like.
Anybody get confirmation on why etc. cabinets allegedly existed and were being installed since July of 2008 yet they were relaunched in September of 2009 as a new proprietary product?
is 25,832,240 .. which of course is divided
in half .. between buys and sells = 12,691,620 per
So i guess PALC didn't sell as many as we thought then huh?
I mean if we get to randomly divide volumes in half.
You bet it was a big hole poked Barber.
Obviously the claims that this was done because of traders now looks absurd.
The mother ship manipulation theory was crashed when the SEC data proved there were zero FTDs and now the level 3 trader myth has been destroyed.
Interesting news to say the least.
Couldnt agree more.
I was against the fluff PRs very early on. Waste of money.
It is free to post updates on a website. Heck, the CEO could post that they had a company wide bar b q to celebrate the retirement of a long time employee, and there would be zero problems with it. Its free and it would take him less time than an investor phone call.
I think he would be very wise to use that section to start publicly answering emailed questions.
I would bet he gets the same questions asked quite often. Group them together and then answer them on the website.
i love friday's for adding shares of exph
It would appear that the best two fridays for adding exph shares were on December 25 and January 1.
It had zero effect, so my position is pretty spot on.
kind of like painting the tape in order to create a hammer candlestick which is what I believe somebody did on monday.
most understand the importance of transparency.
in fact, in this day and age there is no reason
for there not to be transparency.
The stop sign on pinksheets could be tolerated (still not advisable, but at least tolerated) if they had their fins posted on the website and they didnt link to the stop sign.
It would be one thing for Expo to thumb their nose at the concept of paying 3500 bucks to pinksheets, it is quite another to thumb their nose at the concept of actually backing up the claims they have made regarding revenues.
There are pumpers on just about every penny stock board here.
So wait...you are saying there are boards without pumpers??
link or gtfo
Sometimes there is just such irony in things.
Thanks for the laugh.
not to put too fine a point on it, but according to the innerwebz...
Those pics were on the DDdisplays site as far back as July 2008.
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://dddisplays.com
Far be it for me to stick up for JD, but I think this is a good move.
I think he owed his shareholders an apology and an explanation for the delay regarding the divvy. He did that.
I still think he owes them apologies and answers regarding several other things too, but this is a step in the right direction.
We'll see what else comes.
what about this statement?
It may surprise many to know that we do not consider the receipt of an order a material event.
Of course it is a surprise.
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Inc-Receives-Multiple-Orders-From-Industry-Leader-Crown-Heritage-844055.htm
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Inc-Receives-Additional-Orders-From-Harris-Teeter-830021.htm
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Inc-Receives-Additional-Orders-From-Fortune-50-Client-833249.htm
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Receives-Large-Order-From-International-Flooring-Leader-Kronotex-USA-Inc-991088.htm
In the past they considered getting a proposal request a material event.
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Inc-Wins-Significant-RFP-Request-Proposal-With-Fortune-100-Retailer-817818.htm
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Expo-Holdings-Inc-Receives-2M-RFP-From-Fortune-100-Retailer-879108.htm
So yeah, I would say it should surprise almost everybody.
But I will say it is a good idea to finally start acting this way.
And I have presented the pictures right here on this board.
People just need to look at the photos and listen to the CC and read the PR's.
Management has been exposed if what is being said is true.
Although I suppose somebody should call and see if management is actually telling people that those old pics are etc. before we throw dirt on them. Just in case that information is unreliable... Again.
So basically what is now being said is that they have been making and installing etc. cabinets for years, but just decided to launch it, try to patent it, and create the new brand for it this year all the while pretending it was brand new?
So when they said the introduction to the public would be made they actually meant the reintroduction?
And all the while when people were asking to see pictures of it and they had the pictures forever and just pretended they werent etc. until now when they launch the "new" website?
This stuff just can't be made up.
yep feel free to call them up and get some false info.
They love to pass it out.
Then management lied. Sorry but I just proved without a shadow of a doubt that those cabinets are not etc.
DD site hasn't been updated since June 1, 2009 (as I showed in that pic).
Those pics were up long before that.
Pretty stupid blunder by management.
if they have been around since 2005, that means that they relaunched an existing company and ran the PPS to .03.
anything that is kitchen cabinet oriented
in the pix on the expo website is etc
Did management pass on this fabrication?
http://www.dddisplays.com/galleries.htm
gee whiz condo before, condo after... oh then look at the expo site...
residential 1,2 sure looks a lot like one of the befores on expo's "new" site.
Nothing like dressing up some old and playing it off as new etc.
Comical.
anything that is kitchen cabinet oriented
in the pix on the expo website is etc
False.
Plenty of kitchen cabinet pics on there are not etc.
They have been visible on the DD site since long ago.
You know even after the "divy" exph is still the holding company that owns all of it.
This statement is completely false.
Expo will only own what their share percentage of it is. Their share percentage will not be 100%.
They will not own all of it. It sounds like their percentage will be about 10%.
This is actually extremely simple stuff we are talking about here.
to clarify this post
they doubled their O/S in 2009.
EXPO HAS A HIGH ACCOUNTS PAYABLE TO SALES RATIO...
AND A BAD SALES TO INVENTORY RATIO.
ONLY 915 DOLLARS IN THE BANK ACCORDING TO FILING...
for 2nd qtr.
EXPO GOING TO LOSE ASSETS ANY DAY NOW
to etc. if the divvy occurs.
EXPO HOLDINGS DOUBLED THE O/S
Could have been JD trying to ping it down. You never know.
I mean the O/S on this thing goes up and down like a pogo stick.
Looks like the downtrend continues.
Wonder where the bottom is?
If the CEO dumps more shares it will surely go lower.
EXPO HOLDINGS LOST OVER $940,000...
in 2008.
EXPO HOLDINGS HAS A GAGGED TA.
fyi.
