Is there any way to tell if buying is from investors or from shorts covering?
Quite a bit of volume for this early. Are those all buys, and if so, who's selling. Don't let the shorts buy cheap.
I don't think anyone can answer that question, at least I can't. He must have made an error when he told us in PR that they had bought back about 15 million shares. Only thing I can think of.
You know Thermo, I'm sure you're a helluva guy, and it's probably good that you are here to protect us against all the bad guys out there. But, every once in a while we run across a guy that's not so bad and we have the opportunity to make up for all the crummy investments we got ourselves into. I agree that these smallcap stocks are just ripe for the creeps pickins, but they're not 100% crooks. Galo seems to have put himself into a very lucky deal, and even if it started out shaky, he has seen that he can make a ton of money by giving a dividend and at the same time get the respect of his shareholders. That's hard to beat. Even bad guys want respect. Go somewhere else and peddle your hatred and envy, or else buy some shares and celebrate with us when this deal finishes.
I've never been part of a run, but I would think that it is very important to keep track of how many shares have traded so you could know when the run is almost over. Worst thing I can think of is to watch it go higher and higher and before I decide to sell, they get all they need and it drops. Kinda scary.
OK, does this make sense? The shorts rush to cover and their intent is to get these air shares out of the system and cover themselves with their broker. Why couldn't they just bid up to the divi price, or maybe a little higher, buy what shares they can, pay the divy to the rest and then do what they do to knock the share price back down so they can cover the balance of their shorts at a lower price. Rather than run up the price to whatever, .50, 1.00 etc. Even though the price per share should be worth up to the sale price, I have seen cash rich companies with a low share price.
Caarp, are you saying that only 10-20mil shares are nss? If float is 19mil, and you add up all the shares of investors, I would say there are tens if not hundreds of millions of nss.
Carp, I didn't say share price per share, I said Sale Price per share. It was always about .19-.23 sale price per share and we assumed it was based on 87mil shares, but maybe it was always based on total authorized shares.
I'm seeing the same problem, unless the sale price per share was upped to include all 180mil. Difference of 20mil sale price to 40mil sale price. I guess if they got a ton of contracts, but I don't know.
Carp, help me try to understand this. There used to be 180mil authorized, but only 87mil outstanding. Of that 63mil were restricted which left 24mil in float. Can they issue the balance of shares up to the authorized without filing something with SEC? Would the buyer have always been figuring the share sale price on the 180mil and not on the 87mil that we all thought? I'm pumped, but a little confused.
Get ready for a BIG PRESS RELEASE as Galo said, cause I don't think there is any way he would have released this info unless he was also ready to announce deal Done. Also, the pic on the webste of them shaking hands does lead one to bgelieve the deal is done.
Wad, I am with you all the way. What Carp speaks of is the future of SPNG, and it looks good. However, sometimes the future is determined by what happens in the present. Since we don't really know what all is happening right now, it makes it hard for me to get excited about the future. If things were not as rosy as we think, and we don't know a thing about it, then the future also may not be as rosy as we think. They need to clear some things up for us.
Carp, I found the article here.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/10/25/BUIH13NRHH.DTL
Carp, I read in an article the other day (can't remember where) that one of the boards, I think NASDAQ, had suspended temporarily, the rule of being delisted if price drops below $1 because of the very reason you are talking about. I thought of you when I read it, because you had been saying that would happen.
Turbo, what makes you say so confidently that it "WON'T BE NEXT WEEK"? Any particular reason?
Carp asked doc over on Raging Bull if the buyer could be buying all the remaining shares of BIHC as well as Barons so they could go public more easily. When Kimi spoke to Galo via e-mail, he said when deal was done, he would put out a BIG PRESS RELEASE (he put in CAPS). Now, gooddoc said when news came out it would speak of Buyout, Dividend, Low Float, and Reverse Merger. All those items would certainly be a BIG PRESS RELEASE, and it would smoke the shorts. We know about Buyout and Dividend and hopefully Low Float, but if he has worked out a Total Buyout or Reverse Merger, then he definitely would not post share structure until he could announce deal done. This thing could be absolutely HUGE! I know we all are looking for good scenarios, but this makes sense after putting all the info we have together. If Galo could pull off this he would be rich, could retire, and not have to worry about his next deal. Just take it easy the rest of his life. That's what I would do, how about you guys?
But Carp, if toward the end of the run they start selling nss again, and if that is before ex-date,then they will back in the same boat of having to cover or pay dividend. Did I miss something?
Soapy, Happy Thanksgiving. Condensed, but no less effective toward the goal, right?
Yeah, I see there is one less "Soon to be announced" lines.
I've been in companies with naked shorts, but not one like this. Immediate profits, Revenues climbing every week, contracts like Viacom, Multiple products, etc. Most are companies that put out fluff PR's meant to sound good but they never have a profit and they just keep diluting to raise more cash, and they have lousy management. That's what I meant.
Carp, the flaw I see in your statement is, sure it takes most good companies 3 years to profit, but as soon as they do, their stock usually reflects that by increasing in value. As soon as investors see profits and sustainable future profitablilty, they jump in which increases volume and therefore higher pps. You could have a good company with very small profits in business for years and if they land a contract like the Viacom contract, they would skyrocket. We see that everyday, but not with SPNG. I have never been in a stock that had so many great PR's and stayed at this low price. It didn't take SPNG 3 years, the world is ready for their products now, great for them. They are fortunate and they run a good business. Now it is time for them to do what they must to crush they stranglehold the shorts have on their stock. Hopefully it will happen very soon.
Carp, I would say that normally if we see a jump in volume it would indicate someone knows deal is done. But since noone is selling, the shorts wouldn't have any shares to buy, right?
Based on last weeks PR and the blank lines in the IBOX, can't help but believe line 2 and maybe 3 are going to be filled in. Don't know what it is, but I think this Co knows exactly what they are doing and if their plan works out, shorty will be paying us a lot of money. Talk of up to $3 per share make me shake all over and it's almost unbelievable, but yet we hear of it in other stocks not near as potent as SPNG, so why not? My biggest problem would be holding on to that point. I would freak if it got to $1, but I would try to hang in there. I have jury duty in 2 weeks, so I hope it happens before that or I'm screwed.
If it didn't happen til February, I will have already taken the pill. Just kidding. It will happen before that I'm sure.
I don't think she is getting her info from the doc. Even though he may be legit, his posts have become so vague that everyone seems to have lost their confidence in him. I just don't remember kimi ever making predictions like this before, so I am going to assume she found out something. And, it kind of sounds like maybe a closing tomorrow with an announcement either late tomorrow or Friday.
Turbo, hush up with that December, I'd rather hear November.LOL OK kimi,I get you. So it looks like I might very well be able to buy a Thanksgiving turkey instead of a chicken? Hope so.
Certainly no threats here, but if he plans to post the share structure tonight, then I would assume the deal is done. I have always thought he was waiting to post share numbers at the same time as saying deal is done. Wish I could ask the right questions so that your answers would protect you and still give us more clues.
Kimiiiiii, what do you know?
If we get a good squeeze going, will it play like a normal day ie. up in the morning, flatten out, then back up heavier in the afternoon? Or will it be gangbusters all day long? Just curious.
You think that's bad, I have jury duty starting Dec 8 and I'll be junk if something happens that week.
Just trying to get inside someone's head I don't even know, I can find no reason for him to not disclose the share structure except that he wants to announce the deal done at the same time and for some unknown reason the deal is not yet signed. I think he thought it would be done last week. Looking at the past months history, there is no way that I can see that he could have financially gained by anything that has gone on, no big price jump, no really big volume, anything where he could have been buying low and selling higher. At least not enough to make much money. Plus the association with Baron, a legitimate profitable company (we assume), should preclude this from being any kind of scam. I think we just have to wait it out because obviously all our speculations have gotten us no farther than we were 5 months ago.
Orious, you can go back on IHUB and read every post, just plug in Post !1 and start reading.
Soapy, never heard back from you last night as to whether I should continue to buy right now. Just wanted your opinion. Wanna share?
Thanks, honestly now should I buy a bunch more? My gut tells me yes, but I have been killed from several other pennies lately that were supposed to be the buy of the century. None like this, profitable and growing, but you know how hype can be very convincing. Thanks to you and Premier.
Soapy, have any idea when the big plan will payoff? This month, or next? Thanks
Ok, I will take any of those. The only point I was making was that Soapy said not to worry about the PPS, and that it was not a divy. I can't think of anything that doesn't affect PPS, except divy. Course divy can create short squeeze which affects PPS. I was just trying to figure out the cryptic message.
Rookie, there is not a single PR or post that I have not read, and some more than once, since August 20th. I basically live on this board. What do you think the answer to the puzzle is?
Who told you, Steve or your Dad? Was that meant to be Freudian?
I'm still counting on a PR today posting the share structure and news that the deal was closed today. I just cannot accept that he would not post the share structure after assuring us he would.
I suck at riddles. It's not a divy, and you said not to worry about the pps, yet we would pay taxes on this years income. See, I suck at this. Anyone else got any idea?
