I can understand why IMSC wouldn't want to sell the company prior to being approved for passenger or drug detection approvals to truly unlock the value of the company & it's potential markets, so there may be a wait yet...
That would be AMAZING if it used IMSCs technology, but I don't think it does since it was tested WAY before I think IMSC would have been considered & unless this is one of those things mentioned in the last quarterly meeting of "new things to come" that has not yet been announced, so that the competitors are not aware of, it doesn't sound likely. But I hope they do come out with this (not only from an investors point of view, but as a passenger as well)
"A prototype of the new technology was unveiled in Singapore yesterday by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which represents the world’s major airlines. "
The article was published on 06 Jun 2011, so 18 months has already come & gone.
Aren't earnings supposed to come out today?
With rumors of major share buyback & the possibility or instating dividends, I thought there would be more talk around here
Qualification process
I was just reviewing the qualification process for ETDs (since it appears to be a roadblock for some buyers of ETDs) and thought I would share (as a recap for most), so IMSCs B220 just completed step 6 "Qualification Testing" (on July 9th) which is supposed to be the longest part of the process, so "Qualified" should be right around the corner (the CEO hinted at 4 months to be Qualified, which would bring us to Sept 11th). http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=88760&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1836210&highlight=
There are eight process steps in the screening technology qualification process: White Paper Submission (Step 1); White Paper Assessment (Step 2); Industry Day (Step 3); Qualification Data Packet Submission (Step 4); Qualification Data Package (QDP). (Step 5); Logistical Coordination and Syste- Bailment (Step 6) Qualification Testing (Step 7) Test Report Review (Step 8): Once a device completes qualification testing, the TSA convenes a Technical Review Panel (TRP) to analyze the test results. Based on the technical review panel's analysis, the TSA will assign either a qualified or not qualified status to each device. For devices which are qualified, the TSA will notify the manufacturer of the status, and place the device on the Qualified Technology List (QTL) for potential purchase by air cargo regulated parties

IMSC not the only game in town?
Following elsewhere I came across a comment, this person is LONG IMSC (as I am) & was doing their homework & the TSA said Smiths 500DT will be qualified past Jan 2014... Hope it's not true...
Apparently Smiths 500DT ETD product IS qualified beyond January 1, 2014, with certain stipulations, meaning Implant is not "the only game in town" after that date. I say apparently because the TSA's website suggests otherwise as written. Be that as it may, here's what the TSA sent me when I asked about the Smiths product: "Select software and hardware for Smiths Detection Ionscan 500DT are qualified under the ACSTL and may be used past January 2014."
LOL, I read the article as 585mm, not 585 thousand, my bad... ignore my post
Is this contract not reflected in the price of the share for IMSC?
I hadn't noticed this article before (just came across it) but it sounds like a BIG deal to me... With such a big contract, shouldn't the share price be much higher than it is?
You would think this would put all the nay sayers to rest... Have I miss understood the context of this contract? any thoughts???
Is this just because they haven't delivered yet? Contract is in place, but is it because the sales haven't been finalized yet?

Thx, I know they will be the only player in town with best in class equipment, I was just looking for signs of life with sales, didn't know NIST needed only 1 for testing, but it would have been nice if they had bought a long time ago to get their testing done by now... Oh well... Time will tell
Did you notice NIST plans to buy just 1 B220? Man, that's not so great, no wonder IMSC didn't PR about it...

I think you're right on all accounts
"Nobody in their right mind from a business sense would build out like this to "fool investors" or go into the abyss of company debt even more unless they were not very confident in their future."
Not only that, but the company's financiers (DMRJ) would not approve such a reckless move without merit. They have a lot at stake in IMSC & I'm sure they keep them on a tight leash...
I personally have a lot at stake in IMSC & have done my homework. I've said it before, but unless the whole thing was staged to fool investors, I can't see any way that this doesn't succeed (unless it's later discovered that the technology is flawed) & the patents will definitely keep all wolves at bay. Sooner or later, this will fly
Double sales in the next 12 months would be bad news IMO, needs to be MUCH higher than that to get the stock to move
My Bad, thought I had read that somewhere
their new space will not actually be used for manufacturing, most of (if not all) the manufacturing is done by their suppliers, so room is not a concern. The space is more for the growing staffing needs It's all good
Nice post, appreciate the details, all good things to come!!! This will be BIG!!!
That would bring us to Feb (really my deadline, I hate dead money) so let's hope for quick processing
lol, I had a good laugh when I read about the investment of that company
& for sure, if the price was stuck for another 6 to 8 months, I'd be very mad... but if there's no movement by Feb (when stock options of the CEO & friends require achievement of certain performance milestones) I will be bailing regardless of where the stock is at. But if there is positive movement, I'll wait for bigger payoffs!
I've been following it for months, but have been in for 100K for just over 1 week, I've gotten in at the 11th hour, down a bit from my 1.15 average, but I'm not at all discouraged by all the nay Sayers, facts are facts & time will tell.
I do understand some of their perspectives, as many people got in early & have seen little to no gain, but if they can wait just a bit, they will all be grinning @ the end of the day.
The key to me will be not to sell when the stock goes up (estimated late Sept to early Oct because of government budgets), we need to remember that once the sales come in, that it will actually only be the tip of the iceberg of many good things to come.
In my opinion, the biggest reason for order delays is because their product is only "approved" & not yet in the "qualified" status, so buyers would be getting in at their own risk... Can't predict when the status should change, but I've heard it usually takes about 9 months. The question is, 9 months as of when? since the Jan approval would be great! But who knows
Good luck to you, LONG!!!
Honestly, 250% would be a bit of a disappointment to me... the market is HUGH & they have a pipeline that will expand their market in the future significantly...
The only reason the buy price/share would be low is because of the shear # of shares outstanding that they have
I'm up 6 figures in the last 3 months also thx to ALSK, but if this one goes close to my expectations... retirement is right along the corner
We're in the 11th hour my friend, good for you. I don't even know how you heard of them 3.5 years ago, but I must say, I'm glad to only be a recent holder. I don't have that type of patience. I expect something in Sept or Oct, the longest I would ever consider holding would be till Feb (without gains or at a loss, I'd be out) but if there is a good move between now & then, I'd expect to hold on much longer for a potential buyout or total market domination (which ever comes 1st)
Really liked your find about NIST, right from the horses mouth!!!
Look forward to next earnings on Sept 30th, hope it's a good one, but it might still be too soon
thanks
I hear you, hating I'm already down 6K, but unless everything has been a lie & entirely staged... we will be laughing & drinking campaign in a few month!
Good luck to you
If Smiths Detection or Morpho Detection had been making sales recently I would be skeptical, but it's been quiet across the board. I think this is a good thing.
I believe the whole qualified thing is a big cause of the lack of orders, but within the next 2 months (with the end of 2013 budget, beginning of 2014 budget) things will be as clear as day.
Personally, I prefer day/swing trading, so this one is not my preferred strategy, but having done my homework, I felt this was too big of an opportunity to pass up, don't know how I will manage to wait that long. Also, the hardest thing to me will be if all the stars align for IMSC & everything works out, I will have a hard time to hold onto the stock if it settles over 3$ or more, but if it goes there in the short term, I know it will only be the tip of the iceberg & will have to wait till they get bought out, or take significant hold of the market as they presumably could
I do agree the stock has not done well as of late. I put down BIG with an average buy price of 1.15
Time will tell...
I do feel they have done many good strategic moves over the past few months (I hope to capitalize on) but then again, who knows...
I wish they would do more to build investors faith. who knows how it will play out, the next big order will speak volumes
good luck to all investors
LONG IMSC
man there is a whole lot of bashing going on in this message board (I'm sure I'll get an ear full for my post), but we'll see soon enough
If you go to the last page of this memo from the TSA you'll read that they are now recommending all regulated parties to stop buying equipment from Safran SA & Smiths Group plc because of their certifications are soon to expire
http://www.tsa.gov/sites/default/files/assets/pdf/Intermodal/nonssi_acstl_8_2_oct11_12.pdf
so you wanted to know when the next big order will be made from IMSC? the answer: Any day now (literally)
https://www.fbo.gov/?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=6e1f259df994aa7f7b55ca00f27165ad&tab=core&_cview=0
DHS 2013 budget ends September, 2014 budget begins Oct, so in the near future, we will see if the GOV buys from Safran SA & Smiths Group plc or the logical decision of IMSC
I think one of the main reasons IMSC hasn't had as many orders as we would hope for is because they are still only in the approved status & not yet in the qualified status, so buyers would need to buy at their own risk, but I believe it takes about 9 months to become qualified, so hopefully that means some time in September, we will see
Looking over the form 4 filings from 08/15/13 & the last one on 08/21/13, they all have the following conditions: These options are exercisable in three equal annual installments commencing on August 13, 2014, subject to the Issuer's achievement of certain performance milestones on or before February 1, 2014.

tic-toc tick-toc, we're in the 11th hour boys, let the chips fall where they may
FDA filing anyone?
Before I go on, I do have shares. It may sound like bashing, but really it's not. I want them to succeed...
Can anyone find a filing for First Warning systems? cuz it's not there... BIG RED flag
This has been ongoing for years, I think this is dead money
They keep stirring the pot, but nothing ever happens...
The Bra won "Technology Company of the Year Award" CRAZY!!! it actually could be for real!!! this could actually surpass all expectations!!! But then... It goes cold again
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/4/prweb10641664.htm
Hope & a dream... That's all
Even if First Warning Systems comes to be, there is no guarantee it will be reflected in the stock price of LLBO
Good luck to all, but don't hold your breath...
I say put a couple of bucks here & put the rest of your hard earnings on a true winner, GO IMSC!!!
I agree, if the competition were making sales, I might be worried, but it's been quiet across the board, the longer each company goes without sales, the bigger the back log will be for... IMSC
LONG
I agree, well said
LONG IMSC
