Like I said, if you didn't know who MP was before the PPV you didn't know who they were after.
"Brought to you by" is not effective marketing.
Very weak MP showing last night. Was expecting a whole lot more on the biggest MMA PPV of the year. Nothing on the mat. Nothing on the post. Just one fighter and he got beat down.
If you didn't know MP before the PPV you still didn't know them after.
I'm feeling pretty confident there has been some issue between UFC and MP. Most likely payment issues. They hardly appear to be the "Official" supplement sponsor of the UFC.
I agree but again that is not the point. Negative articles like this can steer investors away from supplement companies.
Articles like this don't have to be true or accurate to have a very negative impact on a sector or individual stocks.
I don't disagree with anything you said but that's not the point. When you have the premier financial newspaper in the world with articles like this potential investors become leery.
Articles like this sure don't help our investment.
The case for dietary supplements is collapsing.

They are already moving money from one pocket to another - from yours to theirs.
Yes absolutely.
What are other companies going to do about it? It's not like it's an audited ranking or anything.
Risk their reputation? You realize the president of bb.com and the president of MP are brothers don't you?
Yes I agree!
Of course they did. That's how it works. Just like grocery stores charge manufactures for eye level shelf space and end of isle placement.
I'm purely talking about rankings and how there is no doubt they are manipulated at bb.com and other sites.
Yes I'm pretty sure they are.
Yes - more than likely.
Yes they are just not anywhere to be found in the top 30.
More than likely they are paying for them.
For a small monthly fee, around $99, you can have 100 or 200 likes added to your page daily.
I know, not what you wanted to hear but that's reality.
Merry Christmas to all.
We all know the connection with Musclepharm and bb.com. We also know that rankings are paid for and not a reflection of actual sales.
Here is a completely independent sight that ranks supplements based on actual consumer rankings and are not paid for.

As you can see Musclepharm is nowhere to be found.
This seems to coincide with many of the GNC visits by posters on here that say Musclepharm is not a big seller.
I know we don't like to hear bad news about MSLP because of our vested interests. But it's obvious the stock price and continued decline reflects the reality that many on here are unwilling to accept.
No not at all. I want the stock to rise but I'm a realist. And your constant posting of nonsense lately doesn't go unnoticed.
BTW - how far in the red are you?
Yeah. I especial like the cigarette in the one girl's (2nd from the left) hand. Fail!
Go MSLP! LOL
Hmmm .. . . let's see. How about the fact that he's been dead nuts right on MSLP the whole time.
And what's laughable and more accurately, sad, is that the stock price is fast approaching sub-half penny.
I would say you might want to start taking his advice.
It says he has a hell of a lot better insight than you, me and probably anyone else on this board.
MSLP hits new all-time low and new all-time closing low on 6 times average volume.
Hey just do that 16 more times and you'll pay Cory's bonus. LOL
Now just get 2 more people to buy 16 million more shares each to cover the bonus for Jeremy and Brad.
But then we have to take care of Michael Vick.
Gonna get ugly for us shareholders. Or should I say uglier.
Well with all due respect, attacking someone by calling them a dickhead simply for expressing an opinion - that has happened to be pretty accurate by the way - is what I call immature.
Ouch! New all-time low for MSLP. It's just not going to stop going down.
Sorry to hear that. I've taken a hit as well. I got caught up in all the cheerleading on the board here. I should have listened to my instincts but didn't.
Sorry you feel I'm a dickhead but you really shouldn't take out your anger on me.
Now that's a funny post!
Yesterday on their Facebook page they said that they had a patent pending on their BCAA supplement for the 3:1:2 ratio. I thought that sounded fishy because no one would be able to get a patent on BCAA ratio.
Anyway I did a patent search and there are no pending application by Musclepharm or for 3:1:2 ratio of BCAA in a supplement.
So what do you make of this? Just a blatant lie?
Now look, they are growing sales at 400% a year. And if you look at the exponential sales component that figure should increase to about 1200% next year based on the growth rate. So $20 million in sales this year will be about $240 million next year and a minimum of $2.8 billion the year after that. Now understand these are conservative figures.
Spending should also decrease by about 50% next year and maybe more.
Now on top of this we have the massive Walmart deal that they are "targeting" - and here's the kicker - by "targeting" they mean Target as well! That's right! Target and Walmart!
And then we have Medicaid approval in 2 weeks. I know that was 9 months ago but I'll stick with 2 weeks.
Dilution? Dilution doesn't matter.
Don't believe me? Just take a look at SIRI.
Now this just my opinion. Do your research!
Musclepharm about to serve up another new all-time low.
Yes - we have to pay those Christmas bonuses.
Well you totally missed the just of the "do some research" remark so we'll leave it at that.
As far as your testimonial here, that's probably better suited for their Facebook page.
With an investment and financial repercussions I want facts not testimonials and hyperbole or Hooter's girl kudos.
Good luck with all that though.
Yes. They are growing at 400% a year. At this rate, in 5 short years they will be over $20 billion a year in revenue. And that's not even factoring in the Walmart effect.
They will then probably be bought out by SIRI.
Of course I need to do my research on this.
New all-time closing low.
Is .0084 a new all-time closing low for MSLP?
So neither of you two supplement experts have answered my questions.
I'll try again.
How will the ingredients be better than the other products sold there? And how can you even make that claim? What proof do you have that they will be better?
And how will they not stack-up to the supplements sold in strictly supplement venues?
Oh, and I love the new line on this board - "do some research" - funny stuff.
When did you ask me about research?
Lighter? What do you mean lighter? Smaller containers?
What is the difference?
Why would anyone pay more for Musclepharm at a local supplement shop when they can get it for 40% less at Walmart?
Why would a supplement shop continue to sell Musclepharm when Walmart sells it for 40% less?
It doesn't matter. It will have the same effect.
And where have you seen the specifics of the MMA Elite and Musclpharm deal?
The Walmart deal, if it even happens, will not be good for Musclepharm and definitely not good for shareholders.
As you know, Walmart is notorious for squeezing the life and certainly the profits out of their suppliers. In order to sell in Walmart Musclepharm margins will have to be razor thin. Add to the fact that they will be splitting those razor thin margins with MMA Elite and you're looking at a bad situation for Musclepharm.
Now here's the real negative effect selling through Walmart: When sports nutrition companies go into Walmart their is a huge negative reaction from the tradition supplement stores and distributors. They see this as a slap in the face and will bend over backwards not to sell Musclepharm.
Don't believe me - go into a supplement store that carries Musclepharm and ask them straight up what they think about it and what they will do.
All sports supplement companies that have gone into Walmart have seen a dramatic sales decline from tradition sports supplement distribution outlets as a result. Look at EAS, Muscletech, Cytosport. They went from three of the largest, fastest growing to virtual irrelevance and negative growth.
It doesn't matter that it won't be the tradition Musclepharm line it will still have the same effect.
So those of you that are hoping the Walmart rollout will be a huge deal think again.
Like I said, don't believe me just go ask a supplement sore owner what he thinks of the situation and watch how passionate he reacts.
Excellent post!
The worst thing an investor can do is fall in love with a stock. Clouds judgement. I see a lot of blind love on this board.
Don't get me wrong there is some good positive info shared here but it the real info that I find the most valuable. And stock price definitely supports the not so rosy posts for sure.
