Exactly... and I agree.

can take up to seven months...
"According to the Nasdaq's rules, those 176 stocks are in imminent risk of being delisted. But don't expect that to happen anytime soon. Notwithstanding the 30-day rule, the delisting process can take up to seven months for Nasdaq member companies, as companies invoke their right to a hearing and subsequent appeal. For that matter, it isn't in the exchange's interest to rush delisting, because it derives a big piece of its revenue from transactions -- with fewer member companies, transactions would decrease."
Also ASTN was listed as one of the 10 weakest based on net sales.

Matt,
Bird of Prey has a good point. Maybe to get out of jail a parole hearing should be required.
So where are the inmates? working on the chain gang this morning?

I use ETrade for my IRA's and it's okay for that purpose and was fairly easy to set up. My other account is Ameritrade which I like the best of the three... the site runs quickly, executions seem ok and the price is right.
Only one trade this year? I might have been better off if I had done the same... LOL
Have a good evening!

"but getting filled was a horrible tale ..."
Oh I totally agree! I don't have anything good to say about them. They advertised that if you put a certain dollar amount in to open an account that all buys would be free. SO I did and then some months later they changed the rules and now charge big fees! They are awful and I am phasing that account out.

Matt ought to be giving thought to a "...Crooks Club..."
LOL... or better yet, how about a mental ward?

oh mst....
...why don't you post the links where the CEO of ASTN fred gets a ding on his record from nasd or perhaps when FUE loses their nasd. How come fred and gothner no longer have licenses? Ask nasd. Check the sec docs.
Here is the link to elgindy's case. It doesn't state the exact date. As you would say, I believe it is old news. Go check out tony's site for info. Tony has always been up front about his past. He's no saint, doesn't mean his remarks about astn are wrong, not in the least.

The Jail is just hilarious... LOL... and a real-time list would be great!

Why thank you Vinny... but I just came by to rattle the bars... hee hee

ahhh... very interesting list. Thanks!
"P.S. There are about 4 or 5 people in Jail now...Might have to expand it! Hoppin' new place, I hear!"
Is there a way to see who's in jail at any given time? If they don't post anything there, we might not know who's in the slammer!

Gary,
Would you agree with BoP about a possible opportunity in the low dollar ranges?
Sara : )
Gary,
I appreciate your bring this to our attention. I have a small percentage of my portfolio in pennies, but I'm definitely going to review that this evening.
Thanks.
Sara : )
Good article. Guess I'm seeing the writing on the wall...
Sara
LOL... you're right...
I don't know why I was surprised... maybe it was because I was merrily reading along an ASTN board and that just jumped out at me as very off topic. But then maybe that was the purpose of that post since at the time she was being totally laughed at for thinking a Bachelor of Arts degree meant you had a degree in Art!!! ROFL!!! Sorry... it was just too funny.
Sara :)
"MMs are in trouble and this fee is their savior. PERIOD>"
The only thing I don't understand is if this drives people out of the market for a while, and there isn't hardly any trading in the pennies, won't that hurt the MMs? Or is the volume for pennies so insignificant it won't matter?
Sara
Great thanks! and you? eom
Good Morning all...
IDNW continues to move up this morning on good volume...

"Most I am talking to are saying this may very well be an industry standard and kill the P&Ds and all the moeny flowing into worthless securities and stock printing mnachines."
When you put it that way, it doesn't sound so bad. It's just that from an individual investors point of view, I want to avoid as much cost as possible.
Thanks for your analysis.

come watch this stock promoter turned basher. It looks like the scammy company didn't pay him so now he's bashing the scammy stock and ceo to heck and back. Same thing happened when he prmoted trimfast on SI. This is just toooo good. Obviously you tout a scam company with a scam ceo you too can get scammed out of a paycheck. I used to fight with this guy to no end.

"If I may ask...who's audio course are you listening to?"
It's titled "Getting Started in Options" by Michael C. Thomsett... have no idea if it's any good yet, but I figured it would give me a starting point. I went over to amazon and order that book, so it should arrive about the time I finish the audio... although I tend to have about 3 or 4 books in progress at any given time lol
Don't worry... I plan to read alot, play on paper, and then dabble with small amounts to learn my real life lessons.

One of my online brokers charges per share after 3000 shares... as a result I'm phasing out that account. It would make pennies much less attractive if all the brokers follow suit.
"With the restrictions for playing in the options and commodities markets excluding a great many of the folks currently playing the penny's..."
What kind of restrictions are there?
Sara : )
Hi Poet,
Thanks for the suggestions. Actually I am fairly math oriented and will probably try McMillan's book. Right now I'm listening to an audio on options while commuting to work.
Have a good day!

Your welcome... I'm a not completely clear on how the bond and ADRs work, but IMO TEVA is a good solid company worth keeping an eye on.
Sara : )
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has either a book or online site that is a good tutorial for the beginner... tia
Sara : )
Hi Poet,
"And besides, didn't Matt intend for that kinda stuff to be posted on the Parking Lot, if at all?"
Probably would have been more appropriate there... as would have been your first comment to him... so yes.
Looking forward to learning more about Options (I'm totally new to it).
