Tyler,
Why converse with and give a platform and credibility to someone who was predicting "subpenny' a few short weeks ago? He either knows everything, or knows nothing - you can't enlighten him either way.
Lief had the right idea - as is usually the case.
"Why go in to AK without having Pebble cleared??"
MAYBE because:
1. Mineral deposits sufficiently documented, even In Situ, are worth a lot of money, much more than those that are implied by geology alone.
2. Perhaps 'someone' expressed 'an interest'.
3. perhaps the higher resolution ZTEM revealed 'something'
4. Perhaps JB considers the environmental issues resolved insofar as having reason to believe his claims are on an equal, if not superior, environmental footing than those of NAK.
5. Perhaps Circular Dumps and "Off Season" drilling are new variables that were not under consideration in the past, and change the equation.
"72 processed inversions on 134 lines. This includes all lines flown during the 2009 (NR 83) survey. The August, 2009 survey was flown at 250 meter (825 feet) line intervals but only every other line was processed, giving a resolution of lines at 500 meters or 1,650 feet apart. Further, processing at that time assumed a flat earth and did not take into account topography. When the report was originally delivered, software was not able to process all the data from all the lines, nor elevation data. Newer software developed by Geotech can take into account topography, which yields more accurate results, and can handle all the computations necessary to address all of the lines, not just every other one. Trillions of computations are required in processing this data to make it useful."
Read the NR. Enhanced computational processing and, I believe, the inclusion of twice as many of the data "Lines" flown during the survey. Twice the Granularity from inclusion of the additional lines alone, if it is a linear relationship. Add to that whatever is yielded by the software improvements, including resolution of topography errors, distortion, or 'masking'. SWAG: the picture is improved in reliability and detail to the extent that it resolved unanswered questions and triggered a new Mission, or the rescheduling and 'Moving up' of one in support of the Campaign.
Analagous, IMO, to going from Broadcast/Cathode Ray Tube to Cable HD 1080p.
I think Dan Rather is a "Watermelon" - Green on the outside, Hammer-and-Sickle on the Inside. A Liar, and a Liberal Charlatan.
You mean there aren't people willing to fund such an effort for nothing?
I'm Shocked.
You're trying to have it both ways. That you ridicule others for not buying into the Fantasy of something for nothing tells me all I need to know.
Some things are so obvious, you can't take seriously those who deny them.
Tell you what - if you think the goods are in the ground, write the company a check as a no-interest loan for a ten year period. You seem think that is how the game is supposed to be played (by someone else). If you don't think the goods are in the ground, you're wasting everyone's time, including your own.
Seems simple to me.
"That's the way it should be when you got the goods... right?"
Wrong. There is no free lunch. Dilution/Interest payments/working interest percentage splits . . . just a few of the many ways that The Universal Law gets enforced.
The only thing getting financed these days is government waste, and they take it from behind a gun.
D-minus on the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt).
"private placement is just another form of dilution bargain selling, ultimately chopping legs out from under common folks"
So why don't you enlighten us, with your no-doubt encyclopedic knowledge of business finance and capital markets, how the Co. ought to be going about obtaining the Oh-So-Common "Something For Nothing".
Maybe you can fill us in before the other Penny StockMastermind who is going to (not) substantiate the 'Kickback' arrangement assertion on the Warehouse lease.
DJ
I thought you were gonna forget about it for a while? Spec? Absolutely.
I'm more or less (more than less) all in. Necessity by way of desperation, the past few years have been tough.
That being said, the enthusiasm here is very high, and rightly so, the Universe willing . . . But It Does Breed Impatience. I'm gonna try to maintain my time reference: If I think it should take hours, allow days; days? Weeks; Weeks? Months. Months, etc. . . . . and add a little more for it being an explorer, EPA, Credit Drought, dedicated sellers, predatory 'Fish', etc. If I apply that to "When might we see drill results? I'd say 6 months, and more likely AZ than AK. I hope I'm wrong, at least in terms of being overly conservative.
Let's not forget, if they were to ZTEm the Whole 215 Sq. miles in one shot (doubtful) it would take a lot longer than a few weeks, just for giga/teraflops of computation.
Last paragraph makes the recent four-round burst of substantive news all the more welcome and appreciated. I don't think it will keep coming AS FAST, but it should keep coming.
If I were JB I'd let off the Gas on news for a little bit (If there was more in the Cupboard), gauge the response to the road show appearances, and feed whatever additional substantive news may still be 'Pending' at a rate no more rapid than is necessary - like when the sellers get cocky - if That were to happen a couple more times over the next two months it could really help raise the ceiling.
It's a bit of a tightrope, and we don't know the variables. He's also more than smart enough to know that crazy spikes are more easily and disappointingly (for the market) undone than the relentless and reasonably inclined uptrend (IMO).
OCICBW,ATOOMA . . . .
A closer read:
"The intrusion covers about 215 square miles . . . . All known mineralization, represented by prospects and the old Tombstone Consolidated Mines production area . . . .are associated with these fluxuations (anomalies) in this intrusive mass. . . . .
One of these anomalies is . . . associated with the Hay Mountain target. Another is associated with the Walnut Creek target. >>>>>> Other anomalies appear to be associated with other confidential targets identified by other criteria."<<<<<<<<<<<
Someone wondered as to whether or not additional targets are on existing claims. I doubt it, 215 sq. is a lot of area . . . also would explain a higher than assumed (on my part) price tag for ZTEM. OTOH, I think he has enough info. now for staking, and the purpose of ZTEM would be to screen the suspected locations for further lock-up and effort or not to be pursued further.
Today's Release appears to have been "Sat upon" for a while. It would be foolish to assume that the magazine is now empty. It is possible that we get further info soon - a reasonable speculation would be that among things we may have yet to be told we might yet hear of expanded/additional Tombstone claims staking or access to more ground in the area through avenues such as an acquisition, or perhaps 'business arrangements' with one or more neighbors.
Someone noted earlier, perhaps it was Belge - JABA , Inc. had a portfolio at one time of 30 projects? I wonder what the status of that Herd is now - a good question to put forth. What is the status of JABA and any properties it may still retain, and how does that process of getting a property under the Liberty umbrella work?
A tombstone neighbor to the west (generally) is in the toilet, and until recently had a much higher SP.
"Shot over" - "Shot out". They've registered the target and are firing for effect.
"The geological case for LBSR was never an issue, only the funding for exploring..."
That simplicity has an exquisite elegance.
St. Experey: "perfection in design is achieved, not when there is nothing to add, but when nothing can be taken away".
"I am guessing they would not spare the expense and time with the tour if they di not have items to discuss related to BCSP. Bottomline, I expect frequent news over the next month as plans are unveiled, and excitement builds alongside anticipated drilling."
WHICH IS WHY THE WEEKLY CHART IS COMPELLING!
It appears to me that Gold is decoupling from the exity indexes for the near term.
A couple of things are starting to make sense:
1. The website 'Upgrade'. They moved to Wordpress, what a lot of Bloggers use because they are constantly adding and editing content, and eliminates a "Web Design" Middleman cost. They anticipate(d) lots of Website content changes.
2. JB's computer equipment upgrade. There has been serious data processing going on for a while - Maybe not all of it on GeoTech machines.
3. The Tour - 'Fluff' releases come out apropos of nothing and do not come with the opportunity to hear the Founder, CEO and COB flesh them out and BE QUESTIONED about them FACE-TO-FACE.
4. NAK is in THE TOILET, are the Backers going to be bagholders or are they going to secure/protect/attach their invested Capital? You're 1/3 of the way through building a Six Flags, your neighbor's gonna build a Disney World - what are you gonna do, sue, and say the area is unsuitable for Amusement Parks?
5. Why Did NAK step up in the first place? Couldn't they have let Liberty go to Zero and Away? Probably viewed that as TOO RISKY - there are other Sharks in the Sea. Also, getting past the Greenies, they benefit from having LOTS of Geographical flexibility in project design.
6. Why 2 cents? Because the market underestimated Briscoe and his position. The Capital needs for the work done to this point were not that large - why burn any more of the furniture than was absolutely necessary? While everyone wanted Drills, he wanted DATA.
7. We would be well-advised to see how the market reacts in terms of financing that doesn't have the word "Fairhills" attached, and the share price reaction to Same. Interestingly, the per dollar dilution factor associated with THAT money was cut in half over the past two sessions.
8. Soil, rock, vegetation & etc. samples, and eventually drill cores used to generate 43-101's and resource estimates are retained for documentation, re-assy and analysis, etc. Can you say Bre-X? That is one reason for having a Warehouse. Right now they have many thousands of items that (I believe) need to be maintained.
9. The B team is either so delusional, lame, or just collecting per-post fees that they can't even come up with amatuerish "accumulated deficits", "Dilution" and "No Revenues" Tripe. We're moving from "Potential" to "Proof" - it will take time, but it is a Humongous move in terms of Value.
10. Traders are focused on the trees, others see the forest. A lot of Tree-seers showed up today. Focus on The Potential, The Plan, and The Progress - the Ticks are a distraction - the Money to move the Plan is not watching and commenting on Tenths of a Cent intraday variations.
11. If you've held for a long while, CONGRATULATIONS! the Thieves in Washington (or Brussels, or other Nexus of Corruption or Incompetence) are likely to confiscate less of your money.
Maybe someone going to the first, or early Roadshows can ask about Larry's Role and accomplishments/progress/results - I know some here have denigrated, along with a lot of other things that have "Changed" in the past few days.
"Half the shares traded in the last session were shorts, they are already getting all over this thing ahead of briscoe's whirlwind begging tour...."
Another puff of "Wind" from the business end of the B team . . .
Can anyone say "Irrational Exuberance"?
"Maybe he is aware of the negative perceptions and this is his way of trying to fix the image"
I doubt he could give a Rat's Arse about the infantile rantings of the B team Sociopath Misanthropes.
"we had the NR about the drilling plan and permit applications but does that justify the tour?"
Dood, I'm with you - I don't think it justifies The Tour by itself, the latest info is:
1. Veggies complete
2. More lab work to be done for REE's
3. 5 Drill targets Identified
4. Drill Permit process initiated
5. ZTEM Desired but not 'arranged'
Why go on a Tour? To rehash the above, in a meet and greet - makes little sense, 19 cities in 13 days is hell - not a vacation.
I think the Idea is to talk Geology: - Size Potential and significance, Depth Potential and Significance, Regional characteristics, etc., But not in a "This is What we have" manner, rather as "This COULD be a tremendous opportunity" (Lawyers, dontcha know) and Business Potentialities - JV's, Newcos, Sale of Interest, Royalty Possibilities etc. As well as Whatever MAY Be NR'd over the next 2 weeks.
WHY? Generating interest CAN:
1. Generate an uptrend and MORE BANG FOR THE FAIRHILLS DILUTION
OR . . .
Generate Greater Interest among Current and potential investors on BETTER TERMS than FH.
Resources are the largest obstacle to furthering the Plan of PROVING.
The Trip is to raise Capital on more advantageous terms. IMO it is a worthwhile Sortie - One doesn't expend limited resources on a Lark.
"I simply mean you're looking at the wrong detail to determine if this stock makes you money."
Well it certainly wasn't part of the prospect. And it wasn't and isn't part of the plan (Except for more Lab analysis, which I think is money well spent). And you're righ , it's about copper and perhaps significant Gold, Silver, etc. But, there's always the possibility of economic quantities - see the map/PDF link below.
Vanadium is a byproduct of Uranium mining. A major supply disruption, or perception of one coming. . . . Could turn into a craze/fad/whathave you.
OTOH I don't know how Platinum was priced prior to the advent of automobile catalytic converters (1975).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalytic_converter
May not have been Cats., but something happened - Musta been the gold craze of 1980, the Hunt brothers, etc.
REE's can't hurt. It wouldn't bother me in the least if the penny stock scam artists pumped this to the moon to Dump - using some REE Pump Meme "The Coming Rare Earth Boom!" Blah, Blah....
Anything is possible.
You're sounding Omniscient lately.
REE's don't seem meaningless in these spots in the USA (Page 2 US Map):
pubs.usgs.gov/sir/2010/5220/downloads/SIR10-5220.pdf
You do realize that recent, present, and future technologies are heavily dependent on REE's?
Last post for th' day.
The most optimistic, feasible thing to expect is an announcement of ZTEM being Laid on, and that the results are expected 'around' X point in time . . . after the tour.
See, if JB has a really good idea of what he has - and says what he thinks he has, in terms of size (area), depth, mineral content, etc. AND puts THAT info. out there AND gets ZTEM confirmation (like BC) it will have an impact.
More lab results for REE's in the future is nice to look forward to.
An interesting read, for those who have not yet: "A look at Tombstone’s mining history, an excerpt from University of Arizona library circa 1881."
http://www.tombstonemining.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=63&Itemid=100
Good luck to A-Teamers.
B-teamers reap what you sow, Lord willing.
KY = that map looks to me like a population density map. What I mean is, the shareholders are all where you would expect them to be - not many in Flagstaff or Peoria, Tons in NY and LA.
" . . . I doubt we will get the NR we are looking for before that tour."
That makes zero sense - to go on a tour and rehash only that which is already known, which is essentially 'here are the steps we've taken as part of a systematic exploration and discovery".
That's not gonna move the SP, which is the next maneuver in the campaign, second maneuver is financing (dependent on first maneuver).
They're gonna release a comprehensive explanation of the recent results, AS WELL AS their significance based on a big picture interpretation, then JB is gonna talk it up and answer some questions.
IF that gets this thing moving upward, fence-sitter JV partners and etc. may have incentive to get off the fence.
Who knows? They may even have multiple releases during the tour, which could be addressed by JB as the tour progresses - that would create a little "anticipatory Interest".
Good on ya Lief - you have my email from a previous exchange re: Rector/Sage. Please use it if you feel inclined, post meeting. I value your opinion and thinking process.
"One of my favorites-- We are now to the point that we could start
drilling . . ."
My favorite is 'We are now to the point that we CAN start
drilling . . ."
I don't know if it is on the advice of the pre-publication Legal review, or if JB is basically saying "we could, but we're not" (yet).
The NR's, especially when you re-read the older ones with a jaundiced eye, are peppered with intentionally (IMO) ambiguous wording.
tffffpp
Notwithstanding thoroughness, precision, deliberation & etc. . . . .
The problem with the inability to provide and adhere to reasonable and decipherable timelines is that it allows the market (with the exception of a handful of highly motivated buyers and sellers) to pretty much ignore the issue, i.e. the shares, completely with little fear of 'missing out'. Major help on the financing front could be had by generating an uptrend.
The ability to define and meet timelines is as much a mark of excellence, competence and professionalism as the ability to "do" Geology.
I'm hoping the team can master this aspect in the near future, or find a way to address it by way of explanation as to the factors that are driving or restraining the pace of execution of the plan(s) that has/have been laid out.
No need for the B team to break out the finger-painting supplies, the various screeds are well-worn.
Why don't YOU have a look and report back - it would be a great way to show off your intellect and DD skills. By all means, if you find "something" be sure to document/reference it.
Of course this is the last we'll hear from you on the topic - aside from repetition of the innuendo . . . which is why you make a lot of people want to . . .
Oh, I agree with you - just venting, and pointing out a consistent IR weakness, i.e. useless/counterproductive timeline info.
5/23/2012
Briscoe sez: "I estimate that the analysis of the vegetation geochem will be complete in about two weeks. Comparisons with the soil and the rock chip samples will then be made, and interpretations of all data will be made shortly thereafter."
The consistent wild-ass timeline semi-specifics that are really quite vague and never met are really annoying.
The analysis of the vegetation Geochem should be done. How long for "Comparisons" and "interpretations"? How long is "Shortly".
No need for the B team to chime in, I can write your 'material' myself, with or without a Crayon.
"... would not waste my valuable time shorting a penny stock for a slice of pizza lunch."
Well said.
"I bet Pebble gets tabled for another year."
A project of THAT magnitude, So What? A year is next to nothing in the timeline of discovery to production.
You were REAL Bullish a YEAR AGO.
Now you're not. The only changes since have been for the better in terms of advancing an exploration and definition plan.
The biggest change over all is that you ran out of patience.
The only quick money in explorers is A. A "Craze" for the particular mineral or B. exquisite timing of an entry based on detailed knowledge of the properties, state of activity, and PENDING news.
A basher is just someone who fell for the Pumpers' Hype at some point in the past.
Truth is, it is due to advances in Dilling technology more than Geological discovery - the geology has been known for quite some time.
I owned Atna years ago - it was dead money for a VERY long time.
A characteristic of explorers and future miners. Not a sector for the IMPATIENT.
It would not have made sense to publicize veggie, soil, etc. interpretations before resolving near term exploration funding - results, no matter how promising, would have had a cloud overhead and the significance in terms of PLANNED progress would be diminished.
The time approaches where the next paragraph of the exploration progress needs to be published.
That, with resolution of near-term funding would complete the "potential" or discovery phase on Hay Mt. I consider the Discovery phase at BC complete - the ZTEM and Pebble drilling confirms discovery in my mind.
The rule of time for "traders":
What you think will take hours, will take days . . .
Weeks - months...
Months - Years . . .
They can't get their heads around it - a simple thought, and they can't do it.
