Dshade - thanks for the civilized reply. This means the next quarterly report should show increased revenue which is a great thing!!! And should shut up shorty
Announcement is great news but it raises a couple of questions. First are these stocking orders on consignment or have they been paid for by the distributor? Second, someone asked about the marketing (ie how are the drivers going to know about this) which leads to question #2 -Does the company have a product manager?
Any response to questions would be greatly appreciated.
DShade-can you pass all these trucking leads to the company's marketing person...if they have one? They (the company) should be proactive following up and possibly posting what they learn here.
That's the company's JOB!!! Not mine
I have sent this press release to a major transportation consulting firm with concentration in the trucking industry. What is the company doing to market this latest test result? Would love to hear a reply to my question.
Well said 007 - Would also like to hear something about what the low price of gas means to the economics of the fuel. In this case, silence is not golden
Gurupup - the end of next week is upon us, and no news. You say?
Gurupup-wish you could get your friend to speak with Mills-I sure he could help but not sure Mills would listen.
Seems as if some accomplishment other than testing and putting distribution agreements in place would answer a lot of questions. Saw the following in a newsletter that has been following the stock and progress of the company for a while. Thought I would share it here:
"There was another "Internet attack" by short sellers that play in the Pink Sheet Market. The only way these attacks will end is if Management makes a meaningful announcement. Supposedly there will be news shortly…but we have heard that before. There was no news from the company as the wait continues for a signed contract and purchase order. Management risk is still high on our list of reasons not to get overly excited about this stock yet. Lack of working capital is also a significant concern. Continue to hold."
Seems pretty objective to me as opposed to endless bickering seen on this board. And yes, the author has done a lot of DD.
LTA - what do you base your comment 'when news hits next week' on?
Why not start in FL where it has already been tested? Is the company reaching out to Reps in FL?
The only thing I would like to see mg't respond to is the FL approval assertion. I am sure there is a good explanation such as meeting all the specs or something, but would like to hear that from the 'horse's mouth'. Of course, a press release announcing a large fuel order where the contract/PO is in hand would put an end to this nonsense.
a contract/sales announcement would put an end to this kind of stuff. The Stanton/inventor stuff is indeed old news. But the FL Department comments are concerning to say the least. 52% drop is an eye opener. DShade-you adding??
Looking forward to seeing some reasoned analysis of the financials that were released on Friday. The stock is behaving great, but ultimately would like to see the potential reflected in the numbers.
Then he shouldn't say things until he is sure he can deliver. Patience of Job understood, and waiting for what he wants may well take longer than most would like. That's ok by me. Just sayin....
Please don't misunderstand me - I am an owner, holder, and like what I am seeing with a couple of caveats.
Suspect wait and see has to do with promised announcements and concrete proof of execution. Usually when a CEO announces that a the name of a partner will be revealed within 90 days, that announcement happens unless something caused the deal to evaporate. It's been more than 90 days since said announcement was made which may make one adopt a wait and see position. The FL announcement is great news as is action of pps following that news. Now we have to wait and see if they (management) can execute on actual orders. If you were from Missouri, you would probably say 'Show Me'.
gurupup - Great idea to try and model what is potentially here. Totally agree that stock price movement is just noise except for traders. A modelling thought for you. We know that there are three components of the new fuel - gasoline, methanol, and the additive. Without knowing what will be charged for the additive, you can build some estimates of the cost to produce fuel knowing the costs of gasoline, cost of methanol, and vary the cost of the additive. My guess is that you can come up with a pretty good range. Link that to what price it will be sold for in FL, assuming purchase orders arrive. Then try and figure out how much working capital will be required to A) produce the additive sufficient to meet demand B)pay for other raw materials (gasoline and methanol - note company may not have to directly pay for these or may get terms whereby customer finances this cost). All this could lead to a gross profit margin estimate/barrel or gallon. Then marry that number to potential usage.
I believe the potential is enormous IF the company can find a way to satisfy the INITIAL working capital requirement. Subsequent product can most likely be funded from gross margin cash flow.
Good luck with you modelling efforts.
If anyone wants to correct my thinking here-feel free as the above came off the top of my head. Hopefully the above serves as a useful starting point for further refinement.
gurupup - we are waiting on real numbers-should be out by end of month. I thought they would be out on the 15th but I am guessing that mg't has been so busy they are availing themselves of the 15 day grace period. Should see impact of additive sales in this quarter's numbers which I expect to be positive. Also, other announcements are possible soon such as the name of the partner reference in a shareholder communication around 8/15. Re other numbers there are about 11 million flex fuel vehicles on the road in the US Don't know how many service plazas there are in FL, but any sale of fuel could jump start other larger contracts. Best to sit tight and watch.
Profit taking should be expected. Sure would be nice if an announcement of the mystery partner were forthcoming as the stated 'within 90 day window' has passed. Such an announcement would, I suspect, make profit takers regret move.
Accumulated shorts getting hammered?
It's a hold for those that already bought, and a buy for those wanting to get in. Will be interested to see the numbers whenever they come out as well as the new partner.
Thanks!
Is there a reason nothing posted on performance by 11/15? I thought that was the filing deadline. Is it because the 15th fell on a weekend and the company has until close of business today to meet filing requirements?
An answer would be appreciated.
Kreskin???
Sure hope this isn't a buy the rumor sell the news type of set up. Don't think it will be but one never knows until after the fact.
Given that 11/15/14 is a Saturday, does this mean that quarterly earning and potential announce of partner will wait until Monday?
l12b007-Just 9 days to wait until we see quarterly #s and supposedly learn the name of the company referenced in the 8/15/14 update. So be patient. I am hopeful we will see meaningful progress on the revenue front. Good numbers should boost the pps.
90 days from the initial update is 11/15. Coincidentally, that is the same day for the quarterly report that should reflect additive sales. Net on net, the 11/15/14 looms large for improved pps action. Fingers crossed for Dshade (seemingly been 'adding' for a long time) and other shareholders as well.
Does the warranty issue apply to the additive as well?
Short term price fluctuations don't mean much at this point. We are less than a month away from the publishing of the quarterly report for the period ending 9/30/14. Hopefully we get either an announcement of consequence before then, or we get real evidence that the additive is starting to ramp revenue in the quarterly report, or we get both. Time will tell.....
Well stated energynut
Surprised no one has mentioned that the annual report has been posted. I don't think it includes most recent quarter, but nonetheless sales up ~20% off small base.
Tnx DS - when do you think we will see the Q results? I too am anticipating good things.
DS-any idea when we can expect to see the fiscal year end financials?
We'll see-hope you are right as that would be awesome!!
Hotroller-the annual report coming in Oct. will have hard data upon which to make an assessment. Would be nice if news came out before the numbers are released, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that.
Update #2 was indeed encouraging.
It appears that it is going to be a long, time consuming winding road to the pot of gold we see at the end.
OR in need of cash, tired of waiting for news, or no long a believer. I am none of the above FWIW.
