Thanks once again for your clear and concise explanation of what the short numbers actually mean and for separating fact from mindless conspiracy drivel.
Those aren't short sales alanc. As Cartman pointed out multiple times now, short sales can be found here.

Short sale data is really not that hard to understand but it is often intentionally misinterpreted to justify a losing position or to shift the blame from the poor performance of a company to some huge fantasy NSS position.
This is FINRA's example of why daily "short volume" is not "short interest." Which part of it do you not understand?
Investor A is long 100 shares and wants to sell. They enter the order through their broker that is routed to a market maker. That market maker will go out and sell the stock into the market before they have bought the stock from you/your broker to close out their account. They do not take possession first as there is no guarantee they can sell the order into the market. By this Notice, the actual sale INTO the market is a short sale because the market maker sold the stock into the market BEFORE they had purchased the stock from you.
The only real information on short sales, which has been virtually nonexistent with this stock for years, can be found at http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/SRSR/short-sales The latest FINRA-sanctioned report there shows that there are currently ZERO short positions in this stock.
In fact there has been no virtually no short position in this stock since June of 2011 where just under half a million shares were shorted which only represented approximately 1/16th of one percent. Compare this with the average major exchange traded stock which will consistently have a short ratio of well over 1-2%.
Shorts are not holding this company down. They are doing it to themselves.

That is false information that SRSR ftd's are hid in ex clearing.
First problem is SRRS is a CNS security and cannot be cleared through Ex Clearing due to it's electronic settlement only. Second problem is there is no such thing as "Self Clearing", there exist only 4 methods of which a broker can clear trades and those are the following:
Quote:
Trade Settlement is accomplished by one of four methods:
1. CNS
2. Non-CNS
3. Trade-for-Trade
4. Ex-Clearing
As it was already stated SRSR is a CNS security so it can only be settled using CNS for clearing and settlement of the security. It cannot use any of the other 3 methods unless there exists a failed trade. If there is a failed trade then there is an FTD generated after T+4 when no share delivery has occured as required. The FTD is generated from the DTCC and is reported to the SEC and two request are sent out one to each broker involved in the trade transaction.
The trade has to be reconciled and then sent back to the SEC and the DTCC to show it has in fact been cleared and settled. If not cleared and settled by 13 days the selling broker must buy in the non delivered shares in the transaction.
Pretty straight forward system that has multiple parties involved. It has been shown countless times that such issues do not exist in the OTC because of it's use of CNS for clearing and settlement as opposed to exchange traded securities which use multiple venues to clear and settle trades.
SRSR has 0 FTDs outstanding so no such thing as counterfeit equity here as supported by the SEC.

Thanks for your diligence in keeping the board honest and posting the truth about Finra numbers Cartman.
Thanks again for clearing that up and posting the facts Cartman. I don't understand why some agenda-driven people feel the need to try and mislead their fellow investors.
Thanks for clearing that up Moderator Cartman. I think it's important to have truthful information posted as you have so clearly done.
