What if they're still negotiating the NV case?
Just keep your eyes on the prize. Forget about daily or short-term price fluctuations.
George, that's a paragraph that has been on the website for several months. It could still happen, but the paragraph in question isn't forecasting any imminent announcement.
The website looks great! Thanks for sharing. One by one the company is checking off things they are doing to upgrade image, offerings and performance. Good to see.
Sweet! Guess we'll know soon enough. Thx for the info.
This will be so fun when all the initiatives DECN is working on come together for a huge win! Remember, we were told over and over that:
--DECN is illegally registered (not true)
--DECN has a lousy management that should be in jail (they're still here, after administering a bu++ whipping to J&J and launching worldwide product shortly)
--DECN would never get approval of their initial 510K (not only approved, but J&J is now left patentless)
--DECN would never beat J&J in court (well we all know the result of that)
--DECN would be years getting any money from J&J (read the court docs and weep)
--DECN won't get much, if anything, from a settlement with J&J (the payout will be "heathy")
--DECN has no money to roll out product (think again)
etc
etc
etc
DECN is in great shape going forward! All IMO
Here, let me help out with the first line of the definition that was amazingly omitted:
Whatever amount the settlement was probably included the bond amount in the total.
That sounds about right. The company should keep on keepin' on and just build the business, which takes time. This is an exciting period of growth for DECN with great things to look forward to in the future.
Sounds like--that's fine. Been here a while and can wait until the business gets really good down the road a ways. Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks. So based on that, I would guess that sales won't increase too much until last 2 quarters.
"...short order..." Sounds like it's more a matter of When product is in all major retailers than If. When we find out about it could be quite a ways down the road I would guess since it will take a while to ramp it up.
DECN's dilution has been kept in check, especially in light of 4+ years of serious legal battles with J&J. We are in good shape going forward now once settlement payout is in hand. There may be some more reasonable dilution during this 2nd quarter, but then I would expect it to come to an abrupt halt with revenues coming in. All IMO
Yes, I did notice the poorly written articles by Hotstocked, IMO a very shady operation if you look at their history. I see a connection to other comments in other places and definitely see an obvious anti-DECN bias. No surprise.
Great sales pitch for RM! I especially like the part where the one character says "Wal..." and the other beeps him out. Like you said, they almost said it...excellent that DECN is in with this strong of a Walmart connection.
Welcome to the board Scott.
Thanks for the update. It's still big money invested. Works for me.
On further review, the Walton LLC investment would not be the same as the one in Austin, TX. That one is oil money, so they are different.
Retail Monster looks awesome! Only a matter of time before we see some great contracts out of this IMO.
It's all IMO as I posted, but based on info provided in ksviking's recent post. Don't know if this is the same person that plutonium was posting about who is now retired in Austin, TX.
I agree. The wireless products are where DECN's technology developed for MD@Hand benefits them now with this new generation of products, correct?
Also, I was thinking about an interesting thread this morning that is very telling:
-Walmart initiated the contact with DECN re. Genstrips and signed multiple annual agreements with them while the legal saga with J&J was being played out.
-Walmart went to DECN's defense against J&J's illegal letter writing campaign by providing evidence to DECN of threatening letters they had received from J&J.
-A member of the Walton family who was instrumental in bringing several of his top notch former Walmart employees together to start Retail Monster, referred DECN to Retail Monster, who now represents DECN's interests internationally.
-This Walmart family member is one of the largest investors in DECN through an LLC
Taken together, these are huge indicators of where DECN is heading with Walmart, and probably many other large retailers. That is impressive!
All IMO.
Great insight. Thanks for the info. I'm not sure J&J will buy DECN, but if so, the price will be much higher in the future IMO.
I concur with your overall sentiment. I believe you are at the low end, without any contracts for DECN; however, if you add, say Walmart, to the equation, now the price goes up significantly. And those days may be upon us soon. All IMO.
So you think DECN could be bought out by J&J for $200M? If it were to happen, I think it would be much higher, but that's just my opinion.
We can't control how much the company communicates with us, or in what manner they communicate. All I have to do is look at all the progress the company has made even after fighting so long with J&J, and realize that KB has been one busy man for a long time setting all this up. I know, above all else, he has strong convictions to help diabetics, and to do what's best for the company. Knowing all of these things, I cut a lot of slack. He has done a marvelous job to this point, so I will sit back, try to relax and enjoy the ride. I think it's going to get good, really good, in due time. All IMO.
Fu, the way I see it, KB and the Company have shown for a long time that they have high integrity, determination and business acumen. Just because I don't understand everything going on (and that's often), I'm not going to start questioning any of the aforementioned qualities.
Nah, no need to call the company with FUD; only to talk real business issues with KB. KB won't speak to any tom, Dick, or harry, but I'm sure he would with you since you are a shareholder after all. Let us know what you find out. That ought to be a fun conversation with KB. LOL
Plutonium , thanks for the clear explanation. Leave it to someone from Texas to have their finger in this pie--LOL. IMO, great things ahead for DECN. Here's to the stock of 2016, or so I've heard!
Simplify. With $700,000 up front and on hand, DECN can, with a 50% profit margin, generate annual revenues of $40 million. This leaves them only $16M short of the $56M needed for the first year launch of Genstrip. Piece of cake to attain with a little more cash (from settlement or other sources). They're proceeding without any settlement money because it will take some time to get the payout from J&J. All IMO
This, from plutoniumimplosion, bears repeating. These are some real numbers to sink your teeth into as far as where this company is headed.
That's very possible that it was a typo. Cost is about the same.
Good question, dank, what have they purchased now? I would say, the $270k+ DECN paid for the previous 2 patents seems to be a great purchase they will or have gotten back by forcing J&J's hand and filing the case in NV. How much will DECN get back on that previous investment? I would say huge multiples, so whatever this is for, I would venture to say KB has a great plan for it in light of past results. All just MO.
See how many Benjamins roll in when this gets cranked up selling Genstrips! Getting the ability to sell their product unimpeded is a huge win for DECN. Now top it off with whatever settlement they wrestled from J&J--Huge Win!! You'll see....All IMO of course.
J&J is "naked" in the strip world! LOL
Could be June since that's the extension both parties agreed to in the NV case.
That would be nice change to pocket, but I don't think there will be a buyout. Just my opinion and I could be wrong. I guess we'll find out soon enough. GLTY.
I agree, and the same to you! It is so nice to put the litigation with J&J behind and move forward, isn't it? A level playing field is all DECN needed. IMO, good times are ahead for those who actually have shares here :)
I thought I agreed with you that we wouldn't call it Velocity of Money- so I won't. I understand the econ definition fine for my purposes-I appreciate your deeper understanding of the subject. Whatever DECN is doing- turnover of money, recycling the cash, using the money over and over again, repetitive investing of the same money,--what it's called doesn't matter to me. They have a credit facility they have access to (I believe it is for $12M) for helping to fund the rollout (which would ultimately total $56M). That was my main point, not to quibble about terminology. Can't wait to see how this all pans out and how quickly DECN gets up to max production with lots of sales.
"Turnover" is the word I used earlier with DrZ and explains this well. Thanks.
So Velocity of Money is not correct (in some places) in referring to DECN's rollout funding-thanks for the clarification. Whatever term is, my main point is that IMO $56M shouldn't be needed up front to roll out Genstrip. That may be the total cost over some time period, but not all up front. If that much funding was needed, then why is product being rolled out before settlement monies are on hand, and the available funding DECN has just announced in their quarterly report is much less than $56M?
Once the settlement funds are available, it will just expedite the timeline for market penetration, which is a great thing and obviously more profitable for the company, as well as for shareholders. Regardless, DECN appears to be on track now, and at least has a somewhat level playing field to compete fairly. I think that's all anyone has wanted from the beginning. The value of their product will speak for itself.
BTW, apology accepted, but not really necessary.
