TBG: uWink is Very Serious to me - I Do Not Ever Play in any of the stock markets lightly. Am 53+ Dude - Have been involved in Vast Technology / Many Many Stocks all of my Adult Life. - I have to remember when reading Your Posts that you just do not grasp that I've been TRADING MULTIPLE STOCKS for over 32 Years! (1, 4, 16 and 21 days being Some of the shortest time frames, 2 1/2 years being the longest time frame - This is Not counting uWink).
Yes - I made a PROFIT $$$$$$ (LOL!) on ID, & Many Others...
Yes - I Have Very Valid Reasoning to Expect Great Results AND Great $Returns From uWink in the 'Future' - IMO (in Due Time of Course. - Note that I am referring to MY Time Table, Not Yours, or any Others BTW).
I am taking The Opportunity This Weekend to Simply Let Certain OTHERS Know that it’s Worthwhile to work together in all OUR information gathering, so that we can all make the Appropriate decisions as to how we Individually choose to proceed, in Our Own Individual stock investments.
I have collaborated with Others in various sorts of investment groups on Many Past OP's. It has always worked very well for ALL, and I have always been the group facilitator.
My Point is Never to tell Any Others to buy / sell - Just SHARE Our Info as feasible...WHAT THEY DO IS UP TO THEM!
As of Friday, I have expanded the Netman9 to a select group of 10 Posters and am considering #11 IF that poster ever PM's me back - lol - its too nice out... for him to be on a PC apparently). - FWIW - I do not tell any of the Others who the other 9 are, however, anyone (with a bit of common sense) who spends any reasonable time on the uwki board should have at least a fair understanding of whom I will talk to about uWink matters off-board...
Besides on IHUB, I have spoke with some of them Personally so far…, hope to do so with more soon. In the past, I have setup Private web sites for my ‘investment groups’ to Collaborate. - So far IHUB, and our telephones are all working well.
Again TBG - I have been Trading Stocks for over 32 years Dude!
Yes - This Venture is going to be an Extended TIME Record Breaker for My Involvement. HOWEVER – I Personally believe
it Will LATER ON be looked upon (at least by myself) as the Most Profitable one so far…
ALL IMO - Not Advice - None Given! - Netman
To Netman10: Special Netman Notice: I have just sent a Private Message to the Head of The L1 Biometric Board that I was involved in creating... I still have Full Access to that L1 PRIVATE BOARD. - I Spent years of research / time with 50+ guys (friends) involved in Biometrics - IE: VSNX which became IDNX which then became L1 Communications = L-1 IDENTITY SOLUTIONS - NYSE: Symbol ID - Last Trade at $17.00 on Friday 9/19/08...:)
I SOLD ALL of my L1 Holdings, which are NOW in UWINK. - The message sent is Very Informative and self-explanatory, and I would be Remiss in our Years of (Biometrics) Friendship, if I did Not share info with THESE Guys Too (and of course it’s not going to hurt ALL of US in uWink, to keep my Past 50+ buddies in the uWink Loop – LOL!)
The PM Sent: Yes - It's Private, Others, Please do not ask...
Six of Netman10 (so far) have it's full contents (To Keep Private)
BTW Board Detractors: Am NOT SPAMMING the L1 Board - Have Suggested They send my message as a PRIVATE MESSAGE to our many Biometric Buddies. - One to let them Know I am Still Alive & Still Care about L1, and Two, to at Least Afford them An Opportunity at 65 cents to DECIEDE IF THEY May Want In on uWink, at this Point in Time.
BTW Board Detractors: Passing on uWink 'Information' (Written or Verbal) to my Many 'Friends' and/or Business Associates is Not "Pumping" Anything (DUH!). - Nor is My Posting Any Related News Articles ABOUT uWink or ABOUT POS Articles, etc., or my Quoting from Any uWink SEC Documents, or Me, or Anyone Else Out There Stating Their Own Personal Opinions on a Stock Message Board (Jeezzz & DUH!).
I also passed on Publicly Available Info to Two Business Associates Yesterday....Bet This All Really Rubs Some NETMAN Haters! - LOL!!!
Another Review of Mountain View
I took my family of four to the Mountain View restaurant last night. It was busy, but not crazy busy for a Friday night. Our wait for a table at 7:00 pm was ten minutes, and there was one other party in front of us. When we left an hour and a half later, business looked about the same -- nearly all tables full, maybe one or two parties waiting to be seated. They've been open less than a week, so I could easily imagine business picking up as more people discover the place. That's in the short term, of course. In the long term, their success depends on how much people like the experience and the food.
Our food was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because the pictures they have on their website and their menus don't look especially appetizing. I had the Pick-up Sticks appetizer for my main course, and both the chicken and the sauces were very tasty. My wife liked her fish tacos. My kids enjoyed their hamburger and chicken strips, but I don't think either of them were wowed.
One interesting uWink business strategy: their kids meals are $13.00! They apparently come with a stuffed bear that's nicer than the typical plastic kids meal toy. You can order individual kids entrees, minus the bear but at a more reasonable price, on page 2 of their kids menu. That's what we went for. But it's an interesting approach to treat kids food as a cash cow, rather than the loss leader it usually is. I think it will be off-putting to parents, but at least you can say they're trying something new.
Another unusual business gimmick is that they had a couple of girls going around the tables offering samples of a drink and a long sales pitch for that drink. I couldn't tell for sure, but they seemed to be employees of the beverage company, not uWink. My wife ended up ordering their drink, and got a whole bunch of free stuff as a result -- a t-shirt, and I can't remember what else. Anyway, this apparent promotional tie-in was a minor annoyance to me, but who knows -- maybe it'll be profitable.
But the big question: how was the uWink experience? All-in-all, it was fun. I have to say I enjoyed eating in a restaurant without being bothered by a smarmy waiter every five minutes. The waiters came by occasionally to check how we were doing, but for the most part, they left us alone. Ordering and payment were all handled without the waiter.
The games were pretty good. The touch screens worked fairly well for some games, and were clearly not ready for prime time in others. We only played the free games, but my wife and I were in absolute agreement that someone having to struggle with the touch screens in a game they had paid for would be awfully frustrated. I saw at least one person who seemed to be complaining to a waiter about the behavior of the games. They have a game based on blackjack that was lots of fun for everyone at the table, and all the restaurant-wide group games (compete against other customers in trivia, or spot-the-difference-in-pictures games) were big hits.
It is a different kind of experience from any restaurant or bar I've ever been to. As we walked by the plate glass windows on the way out, we were struck by how everyone in the place is staring in silence at a computer screen. I suspect part of the reason that the music was turned up to ear-splitting levels in the restaurant was to mask the fact that there is very little conversation going on in there. That said, as we were walking home, we all agreed we'd come back. And return customers is what a retail business is all about.

uMake $1K (EX:70-50) = "Tax Loss" of $12,500=LMAO!
"Self, I'll just sell these shares, take the loss on my tax return, and then immediately buy those shares back. I'll be able to keep the stock I really like and take a tax loss all at the same time. Sweet."
Don't do it unless you know the rules. You might run afoul of the wash sale rules. "What?" you may say. We're not talking about beating our shirts against a rock here, we're selling stock!
And, while that very well may be true, Uncle Sammy doesn't see the humor in the fact that you're retaining your economic position in your stock while buying yourself a tax deduction with no risk to you in the future. Therefore, to close this glaring loophole, the Feds long ago named this transaction a "wash sale" and deemed that any loss on a wash sale could not be currently recognized.
Wash Sales
Under the wash sale rules, if you sell stock for a loss and buy it back within the 30-day period before or after the loss-sale date, the loss cannot be immediately claimed for tax purposes.
This rule is designed to prevent you from selling stock to claim the loss and then buying it back within a short period of time to retain ownership. Note that the rule applies to a 30-day period before or after the sale date, to prevent "buying the stock back" before it's even sold.

NO
Attn: Clearwater – I can only suspect it is perhaps this part (noted down below) of my prior post you so vehemently disdained (and if by some chance it’s something else entirely…, then I just do Not get such animosity that you chose to hit me with yesterday…). - I was going to send this to You only privately sir, but…since a select few ‘other’ posters are so focused on my personal holdings (which is pretty crazy IMO, considering I’ve regularly posted many times Before & After I’ve bought my uWink shares over the years / months, along with how many owned at each such point in time…), and so here now…, is the Public post to You Sir, and a portion for them…to chew on…
- Yes - I do know that I do not Need to answer you, or anyone else for that matter…,but am tired of such misguided focus (by the few) on Just my holdings, with regard to the CURRENT PPS, when ALL Folks should really be focusing on uWink itself and its FUTURE PPS, and not on My Personal Average Cost. (That’s if they actually really care to… of course, for their Own Personal Holdings Concerns, and are Not just hanging out on IHub just to be a PIA Poster, with No Money in the Kitty…) - Takes All Kinds Obviously…, and FWIW, the dear old Stinky YahHOE MB SYSTEM TO ME IS NOTHING BUT A ROTTING CESSPOOL FOR TRYING TO ACTUALLY PROVIDE, OR TRYING TO GAIN ANY REAL INFORMATION. - IHub (at least to me) is Worthy of the Effort…
A Prior Post Line:
“Disclosure: I Am Currently Holding 128,675 uWink Shares - at a Nice Avg – IMO”
Again…I can only suspect it is This LINE of my post (particularly “Nice Avg – IMO”)
First - I have NEVER said, nor have I Ever implied that I am Not ‘Underwater’ – Of Course I Am Underwater… However, that $ Fact does not change anything I’ve said about uWink, AND BTW I am not Anywhere Near what some Like to think, and also Like to post about…, and now… here is some Factual Math to define… what I will again Once more refer to as “Nice Avg – IMO” (as far as I am concerned, It Is! – hence the IMO).
Second - The Easy Math: On 10/23/2007 I was then holding 54,000 shares upon a 10/23/07 buy of 500 as I had posted on IHub 10/23/07 (had about 210,000 shares prior to R/S which of course turned into 52,500 (after the R/S 1 for 4 exchange). - I now hold 129,675 uWink shares (much, much later after the R/S), and I have Added Well Over 80+% of those 75,675 shares (later on) at Much lower prices (is .52 cents after R/S low? – lol!). – Nuff Said!
Third - If this easy math is still tough… for those ‘Others’ out there (Not You CL) that Still have their horse blinder focus shields on, to now conceive…, then that’s tough sh_t sherlocks, and no, I am not going to post my personal $ Number for anyone’s future posting playtime entertainment…I’m quite content with my current ‘Low’ Avg Cost Number.
Forth & Last - Now can we Simply Focus on uWink the Company Everyone? – Duh!
Bought 1K @.70 - Now Holding 129,675 uWink Shares

"If all that weren't enough, the Federal Reserve announced late Tuesday night that it was loaning $85 billion to insurer American International Group (AIG, Fortune 500)."
"None of this would have happened if the housing market had not imploded, leaving all these firms with staggering losses from their investments tied to mortgages."
"These institutions, which weathered all kinds of calamities before, including depressions, are being knocked out," said Lakshman Achuthan, the managing director of the Economic Cycle Research Institute. "It's a testament to the significance of the problem we have here."
http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/17/news/economy/housing/index.htm
Worth Reading - RE: Depth of Problem...
The reason housing is wreaking havoc even on insurers like AIG and big investment banks, who do not make mortgage loans, is that during the boom, trillions of dollars of mortgages were packaged together into securities that promised to pay investors with the proceeds of those loan payments.
Those securities paid better rates than other types of assets during the boom years. So many investors from around the globe poured as much money as they could into those securities.
Faced with this demand, lenders starting making more loans to riskier borrowers, including people who might not be able to afford their mortgage payments in the future and even many with no proof of income.
When prices were rising, this wasn't a problem. The risk of loan foreclosure or default was limited because many homeowners were able to sell their house for more than they owed and make a profit.
But once prices topped out and began falling, loan defaults and foreclosures started shooting higher as homeowners found it more difficult to sell their house. This created problems not just for subprime borrowers but even for those with good credit and income.
When foreclosures rose, the value of the various types of securities tied to mortgages started to fall, causing huge losses up and down Wall Street. It also made banks less eager to extend credit because of the risks involved.

Frankly... still somewhat unsure of DKAM short term future prospects currently. - I have been fully out as posted back on 3/14/07 (with only 5K+ in Profit's made at that time).
BTW: My prior post (Post #14196 that I replied to originally below...and a couple prior to that...) clearly summed up how I felt about DKAM when it was (then) down to .69 cents (FWIW).
Note: A Polite Board Suggestion: To ever hope to acquire any new interest / investors to DKAM via a cursory review of most "information" posts here...will remain quite unlikely to "help" the stock...unless the usual hype posting quickly subsides, and this DKAM board purpose gets back to (it's distant past) regular rational discussion of the Actual COMPANY and Actual Prospects - IMO.
Guys/Gals: It might be a good idea to actually post good (valid) reasons / information for someone to be CONSIDERING this stock, instead of what I have been Typically reading here...please realize, I am not bashing DKAM, and am not peeing in anyone's .27 cent flakes (just stating my candid IMO, as the board needs an infusion of reality soon). And I do not Currently (YET) own this (But I will own DKAM again by the end of this trading day, so I Will have a vested interest in future information...). - Disclosure: I last owned DKAM at the PPS of $2.22 before I sold my remaining holdings back in 2007). - Good Luck To All - NETMAN

We tried Uwink for friends & family night! ( free food!!!). It was awesome, and not just b/c it was free. The atmosphere is great, the games fun & interactive and the food was delicious. It is an excellent addition to the venues already on Castro.
Welcome to MV Uwink & thank you for a terrific evening. I will be back for sure!

Sample of Two:
Finally!! After countless months of walking past this "soon-to-be-open" restaurant, it finally opened today!!
There's a ton of tables in this restaurant. They really maximized the space compared to how this place looked when it was the California Roadhouse (piece of crap of a restaurant). The maximum capacity of this place is over 250 people, if I recall correctly. There's a bar area and I noticed one of their video projectors showing ESPN. So this seems like a good place to go after work to chill and unwind.
I think I might become a regular here. It's only a 5 - 10 minute walk from my workplace. I can picture it now...I'm at uWink playing games and drinking beer while work gets piled up on my desk. Lovely!!
------------------------
I too experienced, on Saturday evening, some of the similar glitches that Johnny mentioned, but loved the overall evening! It's a great concept!! The games were entertaining, the servers/food runners were friendly, good choice of American cuisine, although some of the photos varied from the actual dishes appearance, I left full and excited!!! Glitches will happen, some obvious work still needs to be done and that can be said for many new restaurants, but this particular idea and foot traffic friendly location will make this place a success!!! I plan on returning asap, love the concept 5 stars just for that...but, I do look forward to seeing what improvements they make
