i just did a quick google of Ruggeri and Pierre. I know Pierre ran the Shore marathon in just under 4 hours and has a law firm website. But beyond that, I didn't find much of anything to inspire confidence or to be wary of. Ruggeri though, his name comes up in a number of what appear to be defunct or downward trending pink sheet stocks from 2003 on - with comments on the boards of those stocks warning those shareholders to be wary. for those expressing confidence in the new management team, are there any good links to make us feel good about these guys and that they will do a better job than Ben?

Ha! A lightweight! I pulled 6 billion dollars worth of concrete piled on a flatbed railroad car 600 feet while holding the rope to the railroad car in my teeth.
I think I might buy ten shares of pbls tomorrow just to build momentum again... heck, I'll even put the order in at .03 for old time's sake (rather than Pete's sake, since that just sends Roach off into more googling frenzy....)
D -
There's a reason this stock is tanking. Unfortunately, we can't convincingly know it. I suspect, as it appears do you, increased dilution. The most common cause of a pink sheet stock tanking is always the most likely to occur again... no need to suspect aliens, short sellers, etc.
The silence by HTRE is not helping and is in fact spurring on the decline. When a company does little to protect its PPS, that's an obvious major warning sign. I was positive on this stock for some time (been in Htre for years), the recent news looked promising, but the last few weeks have not elicited confidence. If HTRE wants shareholder loyalty, it's time to earn it, plain and simple. HTRE no longer appears interested in shareholder loyalty, long term investors, or they'd be more open as to the state of the company. Instead, they've gone silent. Wrong action at the wrong time. I'll give them a week or so which is more than is deserved at this point and then move on as they are overdue already on providing a meaningful update on their business. No company is worthy of loyalty, pink or otherwise, that does not provide transparency and meaningful updates to the people who fund the company - its shareholders.
D -
If Bumbles bounce, that rules out bumbles being the PBLS PPS!
Me, I'm just another prospector surfing the pinks for silver and gold...gld and silver.....yahoo!
D -
What could one more lawsuit possibly hurt at this point?
I don't think Paul and company are crafty enough to plan on making PBLS "appear" bad off. They ARE capable, as they've shown, of running a number of promising business ventures straight into the ground - as if they took the jet engine off the jet and then launched it off a cliff, or built a pool that only had a drain and no return line, or a directional drilling company with no business direction - it's a veritable "Paul's Island of Misfit Companies." I'm on the island too. I'm the shirtless investor who rides a downtrend like a cowboy on an ostrich.
D -
yes, larger market cap even than xide, govt business with both UK and US, 100 country presence. Very good news - does this also lend credibility to LTHU's capacity to produce batteries to meet the demand of meeting (hoped for) additional contracts thru this partnership? In other words, did this partnership give us an oblique confirmation of a growing lthu production capacity?
D
thanks for the information. I'll do some browsing regarding them as well this evening. If I find anything of interest I'll post it.
no great enthusiasm on the news - is there something we aren't hearing that is offsetting this seemingly good news?
D -
.001 - time for Roach to buy again...
D -
Hopefully Growick is the expert on the re-cycling business, and Paul, well, besides helping with our investment dollars is providing the proven management experience in developing small companies!
D -
They'll have a lot of work re-cycling those unused Divy checks! Let's hope this is not just Paul riding some other wave into a business he can't manage - it would be good if PBLS stuck to a few things they actually can manage.
D -
Miami Gardens Hip Hop is open - I ust got through to the shop and the store is open for business. I called the number for Silqui's that is still listed, H3 is not in the yahoo white or yellow pages as of yet.
D -
miami gardens H3 still closed I take it - I keep getting voicemail when I call. No word from HTRE. They are way past overdue on informing shareholders as to what's going on, and there are no excuses for that behavior in a publicly traded company, pink or not. If they have excuses, I don't want to hear them. I want solid news, nothing more, or I'll move on soon.
D
agreed. I wonder why this stock is doing even this well at this point. Since we don't break .001, a standard 10% play back to .0011 and .0012 has been pretty consistent.
D -
The shop is not open at this time (as of 5PM today) - the person who answered the phone did not exude confidence or charisma either and abruptly cut me off.
D -
Well, has anyone else called the shop in Miami? All you get is a recorded message - no live body - at 5:40 on a Saturday night, that's not a good thing. This is the number I found for the old Silqui's and had called - the message does say Hip hop soda shop, comments on a happy hour and gaming, and then the beep:
(305) 430-8436

I tried posting this yesterday but for some reason it never made it:

Nice quote from MS:
XBOX General Manager of Marketing Mike Fischer is also on board and looking towards the future. Fischer says the "T here's nothing like this in the world. And we're right here on the ground floor. One day there's going to be a hip-hop soda shop in every city in America. And we can say that we were here first."
D -
There's a certain Flintstone quality to what you depicted, it was only missing the "ack ack a dack." Does Paul wear big ties tied far too short and run around bare foot?
So it looks like we're just hanging until November - December before anything meaty (besides the picnic and cradfest) happens. I'm bummed I never sent for my certs as they'd be useful in getting the fire started for the next PBLS picnic. Maybe there are some divi checks others could volunteer for the cause (not the rubber ones though - those burn for days and raise quite a stink).
Have a great weekend - and Go Penguins.
D -
PBLS is making comments about updates in 3Q? Rumors of strong oil business and profits? Gee, it's just like old times. Maybe they'll be filming a new, nostalgic-type TV show next, such as "Leave it to Maggie," or "PBLS 0012" ... The only thing less valuable than my shares right now is anything uttered by PBLS management. If a PR would come out, would anyone on this board put any stock in it (pardon the pun)? PPS, transfer agent numbers, and lawsuit progress - those seem to be the only bits of reality to go by these days in regard to PBLS. Thanks to Rally and Roach for keeping us abreast of the last two, and I can't even say how much I'm indebted to Paul A for the first item in that list...
D -
I don't think discretion is the better part of valor if the permit rumors are true. Silence is uncharacteristic of BEN - perhaps I'm reading more into it than is merited, but that's what companies invite when they clam up. On the good side, like you, I'm hoping for more to come in the MS partnership and saw the recent PRs on that front as a major development. I'm not selling at the moment either, as a second shop opened is still good news - delays, pitfalls notwithstanding. But I'm not loading the boat on any dips either until I see who's got their hands on the wheel.
D -
I'm not as concerned about a "pop" in PPS as I'm concerned with the complete silence on their part after a grand opening (in addition to other potential news fronts). As a shareholder, I want to be informed, nothing more.
D -
yes, after this past week, HTRE has lost any remaining street credibility with me. If they can't even muster a single PR for over a week related to the grand opening of only their second soda shop, then something is seriously wrong. If something isn't seriously wrong, Chavis better say something fast and convincing.
Either there's a significant management change going on or an entire implosion of the company (IMHO). Fluff PRs of any kind will no longer cut it. They need to show someone is in control of the company, who that is, what their short and long term goals are (realistic), and what has been happening financially with the soda shops thus far opened.
Anything else, as the poet Homer once said, is "squeaking and gibbering."
I would like to believe they can pull out of this debacle, but no one at the company is stepping up to do that or apparently interested in doing so right now. The question is why. Investors and traders always assume the worst during periods of silence and uncertainty, as it is safest to do so.
D -
Disclaimer: As I'm a hack trader/investor, you'd be foolish to base your trading decisions on my comments. Besides, it's more fun to make your own foolish mistakes.
A blogger doesn't like HTRE - not big news in itself, but in the absence of anything else new on the web I thought I'd post the link.
http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/eatmyflorida/2008/05/27/hip-hop-soda-shop-opens-in-miami/
D -
In the past I have mostly had postive things to say about HTRE's ability to use / get PR. This past week though is an unmitigated PR disaster. All they've done is sown doubt in their business model, as lack of news is always interpreted as bad news - and more often that not, that's a good assumption to make.
D -
found this:
MIAMI LOVES SODA!
http://allhiphop.com/stories/rumors/default.aspx
Miami recently celebrated the Grand Opening of the Miami Hip Hop Soda Shop. I was told the overall vibe was definitely crazy. Artists and random celebrities came by including Meagan Good, Fat Joe, Fabolous, DJ Q45, and DJ Mad Linx, among. Fat Joe, Fabolous, Grind Mode and Casely, all performed their singles with Miami Live, who played lived instruments. The venue is dope, 40 plasma screens, and Microsoft Xbox360s have the venue decked out.
It's nice to see some news on the opening - I can't believe HTRE is being so silent. That's a huge gaffe, on top of the website. PR had been their strong point, this whole week has been very odd and very disappointing.
D -
Great, can't post in the link!

Should I turn out the lights? Anybody? Hello - o - o - o. There's an echo in here...
D -
Looks like we're still in reruns of "LA Law". Maybe the ihub box could be altered to list all the open lawsuits rather than the companies allegedly owned by PBLS? We could have a pool as to which ones come to a conclusion in order to offset our current losses (just a suggestion, let's not have PBLS do the "pool" building).
D -
volume and BB-
Two posts earlier are related - volume and the BB. Our current volume suggests that despite the PR leading up to this opening this is still a pink sheet trader's stock. New buyers aren't flocking in. A move to the BB would help that happen by giving the stock a little more legitimacy. Without that (and we need financials to do that move as well), we stay at the mercy of the flippers and traders. With another shop open, if they release monthly sales and profit numbers (audited), more news on their partnership with MS, and give some solid news on gaming, then this stock can rocket. That's a lot of ducks to line up and that will take more time.
D -
Don't forget the other important addition to today's PR - Microsoft. It's one thing to announce a partnership, it's doubly nice to see Microsoft standing alongside HTRE and providing quotes of their own in the PR. Of all the names in the PR Today, I think I'm most happy about seeing Microsoft in the list.
D -
We need to see some consistent increasing volume in my opinion but green is quickly becoming my favorite color....
D -
If Paul "A" has accomplished anything it's this:
He somehow united those who are completely disgusted with the company and don't believe a word they say and can no longer afford to sell their remaining shares with those who believe the company can turn around and still hope for a better day ahead. That's quite an achievement! Grousers and Believers Unite! Follow the Path of the Roach!
D -
No enemies here - that's a nice trade. I'm sure you weren't the only one doing it. I didn't buy at .05 out of laziness rather than any moral stance. If you can make money on a trade, it's a good trade. Plain and simple. That whole flipper vs investor dichotomy is nonsense. No one would flip a stock repeatedly if the stock is poised for long term growth. So it's always up to the Pink sheet companies to prove that is occurring, otherwise, flipping isn't only going to occur, it's being invited by the company.
D -
Yes, comparing startup costs for this store to the previous one in Tampa and showing (hopefully) a faster, more efficient, and less-expensive roll-out of additional franchises would be great news if that indeed occurred / will occur for Miami.
Pizzacow,
The call with Ben should be interesting. There are a number potential topics he can / should raise beyond the Miami opening. It's anybody's guess at this point what comes out - MS, product tie-ins, gaming, revenues thus far on the Tampa store - I doubt other locations will be discussed beyond the general or they'd have been listed in today's PR. We'll see today. It's nice to have something to look forward to again. Let's also see how much selling hits the table on the news.

I've been thinking and I'm glad the "Dynamic" news will be announced on Monday and not today - Friday's are usually bad news days. Hope for silence today and good news Monday.
