What's going on? I cannot access anything but the home page.
We already have a history of delays. I just hope it doesn't get longer.
Here!
Not much money left here. So if I pick up another 10, 20, 30 k that would be about it for me.
Oh, so it is you pmunch pushing the price up! LOL
Yeap. I just missed it. Well, maybe tomorrow I will get a chance. But I wouldn't be surprised if this thing starts moving big time. Anyway, I got more ICTN, which is just as good. Thirty percent of my portfolio is in these two stock, and I haven't been that heavy on anything in a long, long time.
I like to see bashers eat their words. But, of course, they will never admit publicly to having been wrong.
Damn I missed them. On ICTN at .031. Got half. On RLTR .102. Got none. I thought of raising it just before I left the house for the day, and I just got back to it. My fault.
Got some ICTN this morning. But the rest of my orders for it and RLTR are going unfulfilled.
I would look at it that way if it were my product. Sell a DVD it may be watched 100 times. About $20 the first clip; nothing thereafter. Share it with retailers, distributors, and all the costs of producing the physical product. Charge .99 every time someone watches it, and you will get many times more money over a long period of time.
I'm digging, I'm digging!
I can say the same thing. I bought some more early this morning at .12.
Unfortunatedly I must agree with you. It is all about what they are going to do; not about what they have done. They have been talking about adding content for a while, but nothing happens. I've been through this kind of thing before: future talkers seldomly turn out to be present doers. If it weren't for the technology, I wouldn't be here. We are at the show me stage.
Great idea!
Yeah, we all have opinions. And I sure hope you are right.
I don't buy any of that technical "horses**t". Charts only predict the past.
I hope so too. I bought more ICTN today. Would like to get some more of both, but my cash is really way down.
To me it means that some nervous nellies dumped the stock: fear about content, etc, not coming out on a timely basis, giving time for the competititon to get in gear. I have been investing for many years, and I have seen companies with a good product linger for a long time, and lose their advantage to someone else. But the central issue remains unchanged: you can't wait until the dice is cast to make your bets. Either you stick it out a little longer and ride the stock all the way up if it hits pay-dirt. Or you play it real safe and go elsewhere. No guts: no glory.
Not me!
That makes sense.
Yeap, you get to use your mind. I am wholeheartedly in agreement.
Nero,
I thought about this last night, and I came back to my original conclusion. We have, maybe, 1,000 memberships. If we add 200 movies at one time, we will not have enough members to get an adequate peer ratio, and new members may be hard to get because as they try the system, they don't get good results. However, if we were adding 5/10 movies a day, the existing membership would be enough to maintain a good peer ratio, and we would be able to add new members every day who are more likely to be satisfied with the results. I think that they should start adding content as soon as possible, maybe send out e-mails to let every member know what the new flicks are, and put out some PRs. The more I think about it, the less I like the idea of adding several hundred movies at one time before growing membership.
I should have read all the posts before I answered your first one on this matter.
hobby,
I am not technologically savvy, but my thinking was along the same lines when I first read that particular post. I just simply couldn't have said it as well as you did. I am not selling my shares either, but something has got to give, and I have also the through the "have patience" stuff before, to which there is also a limit. The problem with it is that, with each day that passes, someone else out there is catching up, and one never knows how close the competition is, how much money they have, or who it is.
Wow, what a surprise!!!
I thought I was going to get some nasty replies. Instead everyone has left a positive comment to my concerns. I like that. It shows that this company has some very consciencious investors. Don't get me wrong. I am here for the long pull, but I do get frustrated once in a while. One thing tho, how do we solve the "chicken and the egg" issue? The system works best with a lot of customers, but the customers won't come if we do not have content. However, if we put content without customers, the system degrades. I scratch my head trying to solve the puzzle. I still think that we need to be adding some content anyway, if only a handful of movies per day. I've already watched every movie I had the slightest curiosity about. I guess the next thing is to let a movie play even if I am not watching it. That way I help the system function better. So, from now on, I will be playing a movie all the time if I can.
I know that some investors here are not going to like what I am about to say, but it must be said.
I am very disappointed with the way things have been going. No content has been added. And I don't mean signing a contract with a big studio; I mean no content at all. There has got to be thousands of movies and TV shows that can be added at little expense. Every day something should be added. There are two movies listed under Westerns. The same two movies that have been there for a while. It is absurd! Even if we have not signed a major contract, we should be able to add something every day. In Alexa we got as high a 8 per million one day. But now all we get is a --. I've shown the site to over 30 persons, and they all love the technical part, bu then when they look at the list of shows ... I get some kind of blah statement. A couple even come back later and compalined; "You said they were going to add content."
The second thing is the way the seraches are structure. For example, if I write One-Eyed Jack on the search window, I should be able to get that movie plus any one containing thoses words. However, I even get a Bonanza show that doesn't have any of those words in the title. If I write Bonanza, I get only a 15 episode list. Not only that, but under the genres there should be more divisions: a scroll down menu that leads to a second scroll down menu or more if need be. And then when one reads about a movie, one should have links attached to the actors and directors names that take one to biographical skteches, which includes links to all their movies, etc.. etc.
Now, I have spoken my peace. Subject close except for the attacks on my statements which are about to follow.
Or they could offer us $5 a shares for our holdings on RLTR.
I so strongly believe in the potential of this company that I have nearly 30% of my portfolio in RLTR & ICTN. I haven't had so much in one investment since I was too poor to properly diversify.
AN_OX,
I have an equal number of share on ICTN as I do on RLTR. Because of the large position ICTN has on RLTR, the first should track the second. I cannot speak about the technology, etc.. I am just an user. I invested on these companies solely on the potential I see for success from the standpoint of a consumer. Is this a product you would buy? My answer is a definite affirmative. I ask the same question of some friends, and everyone was highly impressed. In a way, it's no different than going to a restaurant. If I like it and my friends like it, i would bet on its success. I leave the techy stuff to the techies.
You have got to get in before the company announces the first major contract with a studio. After that it is likely the stock will move up in price quickly. I watch Alexa daily to see how much traffic RLTR is getting. Once the traffic starts moving up, the stock price will follow.
When companies like GOOG & NFLX became public, they already had been in existance for a while. They had been generating revenues for the private investors and the employees with options. Thus, the public investor came in once the major initial burst of growth had taken place.
When companies like AKAM, SIRI & XMSR went public, they had no revenues, but they started at or near the top of the bubble so publlic investors paid high premiums for future growth, way into the future. They had to come down in price before they could start back up.
RLTR, on the other hand, went public after the bubble and before they started generating revenues, so investors that got in early have the best of both worlds: No initial burst of revenues before getting in and no overblown prices. In essence we are where all these other companies that I mentioned in the above paragraph were about three/four years ago. So, don't be surprise if it turns out you are holding an investment that will go up in price 10, 20, 30, 50 or maybe even 100 times over the next 5/10 years.
It will be like the old days in a way. You want to watch the movie more than once, you will have to go to the theater again. And the theater is in your house. The studios will not make as much money at the beginning, but they will have a cash cow for a long time. The copiers will be out of luck. But if the product is priced reasonably not too many will object.
I took all the spare money and bought more RLTR & ICTN. Sorry no new computer. You can band me if you please. I'' get the last laugh when I am rich.
LOL
You sure like to beat up on a guy when he is down.
LOL
How many times have you shot your horse to death?
I still cannot access the Gridnetworks forums
I just finished watching two movies on a friend's equipment. Top of the line; almost brand new. Just as good as a DVD! If it ain't, the only way I could tell would be by setting two widescreens next to each other and compare. Fabulous! With this around, there will be no point for Blockbusters and Netflix. And who would want to buy unless you want the physical copy of the movie to sit on a shelf looking pretty.
That's what I told her. She just walked out the door while I hollered "Don't come back when I am a multi-millionaire." I'll be having to push the young chikadees out the door. And I bet it won't take long if we can get some content.
Now my wife is threatening to leave. She says it was bad enough when I put 20% of my portfolio on one stock, breaking my long stablished rule that no investment would amount to more than 5%. But this is way too much for her to handle. We better get some content in there before I find myself living in a real empty nest. Just get me some good movies in there to watch so that I can buy her a big widescreen on which to watch some Reeltime flicks. That's all I ask for.
Yeah, I think I hit the wrong key. Now nothing work. Including you know what.
I haven't got mine either.
