I am have come from another planet, Investo, to help traders here on earth. Cramer is a clone.
LEH is now $ .68 pre-market. What a bargain!!! It won't last long. The Koreans will drive it back to $28/sh.
Now, let's starting investing and buy this great stock before it's gone!! okay? OKAY!!!
Don't panic.....time to add more shares
for the big bounce.
They announced their earnings (losses) today, rather than on 18 Sept. I don't think it will do anything for now but idle around $8/sh, but if the market slides, it will probably go down with the indices?
I was short -1000 $21.95 and added another -1000 @ $16 recently. Can't complain. Up $22K.
A very good investment.
Added -2000 WB yesterday and am up $4700. Another great IB investment.
So bullish, I added another -1000 shares.
You're a fool, plash-poo.
The Koreans will pay up to $56 for LEH. Now, get with the program, DS
Right now, it kinda of looks like any rally in solars will be met with heavy selling? I think they are all on the way down.
Personally, I think a lot of these Chinese solar stocks are flim-flam and very difficult to value. They certainly got run up on high-oil. Same with Ag stocks, the rallies are heavily sold and the bottoms keep getting lower.
Can't speak to the semis. I'm heavy into DIA & SPY puts for SEPT & OCT and just waiting for gravity to take effect.
I had some puts on FSLR and made some good ducats the first time, but lost big the second round when I ran out of time on my puts. Of course, as soon as they expired, the stock went down.
To me, those Chinese solar stocks are all fluff. They have been pumped up to the stratosphere, no one really knows what they are worth. But I guess, on an ER is they are fodder for scalping.
Good luck!
$14, that's ST support. Long term, if the indices head south, $12.
You're my hero, sungolfer. Wish I could day-trade. $5300 is nice chunk a change for a week's work.
I'm holding some big put positions on the indexes, and sure got trashed lasted week.
I still have some MRVL JAN09 $17.50 CALLS. Those will be my starting losses for the 2009 tax year.
GO MARVELL!
Yeah, dead board......
most boards are only active when the stock is bullish and the board becomes a cheerleading section for the stock. Doesn't appear MRVL is very bullish right now. Trading rather narrowly, great if you can scalp something off it, as sungolfer, but I don't even think he is playing it right now?
S2's TA had often been jilted in what he thought a stock would do. Lost thousands on some of his recs.
Best this board RIP.
Back in short for -1000 @ $21.95.
Very nice stock
Not if we subsidize oil with a sur-tax to go to the oil exploration companies, even the penny-stock scam ones. It could be managed by the IBs.
Next, take SS monies and put into these companies, managed by GS. What a great IPO!!!
So did I. When they sold the stock at $28/sh, if figured it would hang at @ $28, and maybe go up into the $30s, so I sold my -2000 at $29.25 (short at $46.10), and sold my (40) LEH OCTO8 $50 PUTS. Booked $68,000.
Today, I would have had double that!!! Drats!
I've bought (10) HBC DEC08 $90 PUTS. delta = .8447. The good stuff will eventually catch up to HBSC. Someone liked it to the kid in the back of the classroom with his head down so he don't get called on, Wachovia and Lehman being up front.
I think this one may follow the other eventually:

From what I have heard, it's takes 4 years to finally bring the oil out in these new fields. That was in Alaska anyway.
Cool.....
High oil, Luv it. Making my puts rise. Doesn't get any better than this.
Probably "zero", but bouncing up nicely this morning $2/sh.
The slippery slope to oblivion.
Rambos....
what you say is true. This evening on a Philippine news program, it was indicated that gas/diesel in the PI (which is over $5.30/gallon now) could rise another P70/liter (that is another US$6/gallon by the end of August? Insane if it does.
It's not a one-to-one relationship of populations, it's the "user" population for more of that commodity that has increased. As credit spread around Asia, more people can buy a motorcycle (even if it is 14%/yr, and 50% down).
The amount of slack in the world supply system is now smaller. Add the spiralling US dollar, and you got something called "Murphy's Law".
The only bright spot is that I see my oil stocks are still in a descending channel even though oil has spiked to over $140/bl?
IEA Report on oil...not going down..
July 1, 2008
(a partial paste)
"IEA warns of tightening oil supplies
By Carola Hoyos in Madrid and Javier Blas in London
Published: July 1 2008 13:16 | Last updated: July 1 2008 13:16
The oil market will remain tight during the next five years as production from non-Opec countries stalls and demand growth remains relatively strong, the western countries’ energy watchdog warned on Tuesday.
The International Energy Agency’s warning is the starkest sign yet that even record oil prices above $140 a barrel have not yet not done enough to balance demand growth from countries such as China with sluggish supply increases....."

It can go bankrupt. Wish I had stayed in it. Sold off at $29.25 and my (40) OCT08 $50 PUTs too early.
Thanks a bunch, Dr.Luck
U're a peach
Robanson.....Babes, booze, and bananas....
it's all still here, just not as big, or centered on GIs. I think most of the pediphiles have headed for Cambodia?
Walk down Field's Road, and you won't see any whites under 45 years old. It's kind of weird the first time. A bunch of old codgers, like me (I am 59), chasing them young things and slugging down SMBs (San Miguel beer). I get my kicks in the market though.
The good part is that you don't have to fly into Manila anymore and have a $40 taxi ride to Angeles. That alone can take 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic. The Asiana flight lands daily at 12:30am from Seoul. You are 10 minutes from your hotel, about $6 taxi ride. Hotels mostly P1000 or US$23/night. Still get a free 21-day tourist visa on entry.
Indonesia, they charge you now, $10 for 3 days, $25 for a week, etc.
The cheapest flights from the West Coast (Seattle, San Francisco, LAX) are on China Airlines ($770 RT). They go via Vancouver, B.C., but you have to got to Manila, the stinken bottleneck. Those may have gone up, due to fuel now?
Once you get here, it's still fairly cheap, unless get so stinken drunk, and say "drinks for everyone".
Ciao
ckg...noted
I will change update my contact list.

PI...Sin City is still here.....
I was never in the military. I was in the PI in 1979, when there were big entertainment complexes for the GIs. Like huge buildings with everything you could want. I did not return again till 2002.
I live in Barrio Baretto (Olongapo), which is part of the old strip for the Base at Subic Bay. It's still a strip, but I think it pales in comparison to when there were GIs here?
I was not here for Pinatubo, but heard it buried the town in 12' of ash. You wouldn't know it now. When the Americans left Clark, I have been told the Pinoys stripped everything of value (copper wiring, etc.) out of the place. Clark is now the intl air hub for the PI. Manila is being closed down as the international hub for air travel. That makes Clark/Angeles City, the highest growth area in the PI. Rents and property values have sky-rocketed. Now, there is regular daily air service into Clark via Asiana Airlines from Inchon. The Koreans have invaded here (come to golf & retire). The Koreans are buying the place up. There is a Korea-Town on the Friendship Hwy now, as it intersects the old Base at Clark. It's now a major retirement area for Koreans. They have built a Hanjin Shipyard in Subic. Lots of Koreans here. They drive prices up.
Angeles City is still hopping with drinking and whoring. Still a ton of bars on Field's Ave. Babes about US$25/all night. Cheaper, the further out you get from the Strip. SMBs still cheap. p30-p40 in restaurant, and some bars. There are many more British, Australians, Germans, Belgians here now. The American presence is waning here. They are too phucking old!!! It's mostly Aussie (Wankers).
You can still get a fine fifth of White Castle Whiskey, 80 proof (AGED 5 YEARS!!!!) for about $1.60.
I think, I manage to live here on US$1000/month.
Here's a breakdown of my monthly costs:
Rent (with all utilities, Internet, Cable T-V, AC) $410
Visa renewals $ 40
Medical insurance (via Hong Kong) $212
Cell phone minutes $ 3.50
Food/transportation $350
I eat out half the time.
Rambos....
Still in Subic. No party here, unless you're a career drunk or whorer. Even with the recent peso falling to the dollar, we got inflation over 12%+ and a 12% VAT. Gas is about $5/gallon. I head up to Clark on the bus once a month, where the "big" party is (cough).
Visa run...
I was in Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (top of Borneo), briefly in February for a visa-run, but I have been in the PI ever since then. You can be here up to 2 years now w/o leaving the country. I just roll-over my tourist visa every 2 months. Costs me $72 last time, but $144 the initial time.
Back to Indonesia......
I believe I will head down to Bandung (Java, Indonesia), about the 1st of October for a week or two. Going to start a vending concession for gyros in malls with my Indonesian bud.
Indexes..north or south....
Tony seems to want to call an indice bottom here? I diverge again. I don't think we have bottomed yet. If today is up, I may add some more DIA AUG08 PUTS.
plash
Rambos....Cumulative gain....
If one includes my IRAs, I don't have an exact number, but somewhere around up 25% for the last 14 months.
As of today, up about $99,000 in margin from April 2007, or about 29%. I have been up as high as 80% and down 33%.
I had some big winners in the last two months which brought me back from being down $90K+ in a year:
FSLR short: $25.7K
LEH short: $68K
VLO/TSO short: $14K
DIA SHORT: $14.7K
I still have $32K in unrealized gains on DIA puts for July.
I do have downer positions right now:
FSLR -$17K
PBR - $8K
TSO -$2.2K
RIO -$1K
I hope to go green on FSLR by the 1st week in July. The others will stay down for awhile.
None of these have to do with Tony other than the DIAs.
Chartreader...yes and no....
"Tony" (Chartreader) called the index tops in mid-May (specifically, May 19), consequently, I bought a ton of puts on the Diamonds, Spyders, and a bit of QID, DXD. I added on every A-B-C down.
Per the Diamonds (DIA) (not his rec), I cashed in (50) contracts early in this week, because I had so many (113) at the same strike price (otherwise, would I would have held). I made $17,400 on those (50) contracts. I have (63) left, up $25,000.
Chartreader has been going in and out of VLO. I bought puts on VLO and TSO, made over $14,000 on the way down. I went long on TSO/VLO calls again, though oil has to recede before those go up.
I can't say I care for many of his "individual trade recs". He likes solars, I don't. I think they are over-sold flavor-of-the-day stocks. I have gone long on VLO (LT calls) and RIO (LT calls) per his recs. Those stocks won't materialize for awhile.
Tony called for the end of this week to be up. I diverged, and added more Diamond (DIA) puts. Sometimes, I think he has tunnel-vision and is still trading in the 1990s?
All that said, he is a valuable second source and worth the $28/month, even though I think he has to bale on 50% of his own plays? Having traded so many years, he does bring out things I have never realized, though he is not always right.
Per his call on the "top" of the indices on May 19th , I am up nearly $45,000 on deep-in-the-money Diamond (DIA) puts for July08.
Biopique.....
Tony has some tunnel-vision at times, so you have balance that with what you know about the stock. The stock market doesn't always follow the known scenarios of TA. If it did then, we would all be rich and never be whipsawed in a position.
Chartreader's Monday recap on the indices for June 09, 2008:
"Today's action is indicative that the stock indexes are likely in a sideways trading range and not renewing their downtrend. Had the indexes gone down strongly today, panic selling would have likely come in and that could have destroyed any confidence that is left.
As it is, the DOW managed to close in the green as well as the SPX. The fact that the NASDAQ once again started to take a back seat to the other two indexes also means that the downside is probably limited.
It is likely that tomorrow there will be some follow through to the upside with 12390 being the upside objective of this rally. In the SPX you will likely see the index up to at least 1380 with the possibility of 1387 intra-day.
Nonetheless, it is likely that if the index fail at the levels mentioned above, they will again get hit going into the latter part of the week and the levels mentioned in the newsletter will be seen. The thing is that it isn't necessary they be seen this week. With the indexes likely in a wide trading range, moves from the low of the channel to the upside of the channel, and vice versa, can take 2-4 to accomplish."
I will be holding my DIA put positions and add to them if the DOW rises to 12,390. Earlier Tony had predicted DOW 12,300 & possibly DOW 12,100.
I will probably sell my put positions VLO & TSO today, as they have reached a support area. Tony and I disagree on solar stocks, he's bullish, I'm bearish ST.
Sometimes, he tries to short at a known resistance and gets burned. That's because it's recognized by big players and fodder for short squeezes. I've been there, done that. His short positions only seem to work out 50% of the time. That's not good enough for me.
I am Plash......
I haven't had time to read the board that much, been too busy on other stocks and bashing on those boards on yahoo. I do have (20) MRVL JAN09 $17.50 CALLS, which I was planning to use for a loss in 2009.
Since I am GMT +8 or 12hrs later than NY time, I am often up all night till 4:30am. Bashing on yahoo boards keeps me busy trying to think up new insults for the pumpers.
I just covered my -2000 LEH & (40) LEH OCT08 $55 PUTS position yesterday for a $68,000 gain. That one's stalled out.
Been following "Chartreader" (Tony) on the indices direction, though he and I often disagree as to his stock picks and the direction of certain stocks. He called the second top on the DOW correctly, and the secondary top too. I loaded up on DIA JULY08 deep-in-the money puts. Up about $33K on those now.
I highly recommend: http://www.theoasisclub.net/ , even though I do not follow his rec'd stocks, and often have reservations on his individual stock calls.
Bought OXY CALLS last Thursday, before oil spiked, and am up $10K on those puts. I previously bought puts on the refiners, as they got trashed with the high crude. Up another $12K there. I had to dump my SPY puts too early, as I ran out of margin, to buy my OXY calls.
"Plashadpobedy" is russian. "Plashad" = "Place". "Pobedy" = "Victory", "place of victory" or "Victory Square" in english. It's a large square in downtown Kiev.

That CFUL's a rock. What a strong stock! Pretty nice performance considering oil has moved higher
Cramer's a good contrarian indicator.....
I can't believe CNBC is still airing him after the BSC rec.
Cramer says sell INTC....
Here's Cramer's Buy/sell list for May...
http://www.cramers-mad-money.com/
Intel's on the block...oh, oh......
Per the last newsletter...
he liquidated INTC at $22.55, loss on trade of $15/100 shares.
To me, it didn't look like a very good trade in either direction.
Springtime for the SOX.....
Hasn't the spring and early summer months traditionally been the down-months for semis?
Won't find the link, because there is none. Serviced truck fleets before. No company buys 20 trucks at a time. Most trucking companies lease now.
Always nice to talk about these phantom facts.
Ciao baby
Time to invest Jimmie's college money into CFUL. He'll be glad you did.
Probably because it's topped out? That's when all the good buy rec's appear. Market looks scary for longs.
U never know when good news will arrive. A good time to add some more shares for the big ride up.
I have (40) OCT08 $55 PUTS & a short of -2000 around $46.20.
It has been a frustrating short. I am $-25K on the puts and about $2K on the short.
According to a lot of blogs, LEH has write-down a fraction of what their sub-prime.
List to this U-tube video on LEH by "Mr. Mortgage":
Link, new trucks.....please?
No trucking company buys (20)new trucks at a time. In 40 years in the tire business, I've never seen it?
