You're asking a lot.
Yes it is. Hopefully if the WHE meets or exceeds its expectations, the word will get around fairly quickly with help from popular trade organizations and magazines. There is a lot of wasted heat going up industrial stacks IMO.
Someone who claims they are at Bent Glass says that the problem they are having is structural from Bent Glass' end. They didn't mention any problems or doubts they were having with the process itself. If I were to speculate, I would choose to speculate in favor of those who designed the system and have found a willing company with engineers of their own who have approved the system for installation. I think saying that the problem they may be having is getting the parts to fit together properly has more validity at this point. This is a true test of the WHE, no use speculating as I believe we will have real data fairly soon.
You know, when they get Bent Glass up and running and the real life numbers come in as they are touted, it'll be a winner no matter what. Provided the messenger from the other board was real, it sounds like Bent Glass will be up and running by the end of April if not sooner.
I will say that my golf outings are more scenic and a "back to nature" kind of experiences. A dozen balls will get me through the course cause I don't waste much time looking for them.
thanks stoc, btw .. even though we are not trading is the business ongoing? Do they have clients? Those are the real questions I have. Otherwise .. well, there is only one other purpose for relisting IMO.
I'll take those odds, beats one in a million anyday!
Just visited the Yahoo message site and found this reply to a question about what is happening at Bent Glass
I"m the one at bent glass... We ran into some equipment issues (not the WHE, but the equipment that the WHE is getting attached to). As a result, our schedule has been pushed back a little for when this project will be able to be activated. We are pushing forward ASAP and I hope to have it running soon. I estimate it taking another four weeks, but thats more for repairing the process equipment its attaching to and not the WHE... that's been running down at their facility doing stress tests until we are ready for it. I get .0.37284993 kilowatt hour per .5 hp - you're right, the math is simple you just have to do it right
First, you are using the design of an existing solar collector and not the design of the "proprietary solar collector". Secondly, using your example you need to check your math. Subtract 10 collectors from your total to make your math correct.
why do i keep coming back here ... i am working on this problem
I will take blessedness anyway I can get it! eom
plus we like the idea of a "robot" that can eat whatever (as long as it isn't us) for lunch!
The Bent Glass deal was signed in mid 11/08. From that point they would have to customize the system design and construct the parts prior to installation. We are still in the window of no concern, in my eyes ... only been a little over 3 months. There was no time frame given in the PR that I saw.
I don't believe they use exhaust pressure for any of the work, do they? Otherwise, I assume that the WHE mostly captures heat and that the pressure differential would be pretty low. It depends on how much air to surface contact they need for heat transfer and if they can expand the gas stream without too much cooling to limit the delta P even more.
As you imply on the Moden fuel, the military process for change moves at a snails pace as they leave no question unanswered or rock unturned. Yeah, shouldn't expect anything in that area happening for several years.
dawg, the guy was having a civil discourse with you and then you dis him when he asks you for help with his numbers and to increase his understanding? I guess he had more respect for you than you deserve. You are on ignore and apparently don't deserve anyone's time of day, I see what you gave back to Buen.
I haven't seen this before today -

I've already thought it was a lost cause but am waiting for a miracle.
The type of questions that resident bashers put forth are the same that could be asked about any company coming out of R&D stage to development stage. There are no answers to their questions because they ask questions that are unanswerable at this stage of the company's development. To tell you the truth, their job is easy since company CEOs at this juncture (going from development to market) are putting out PRs not only to inform shareholders but also to inform the market of the potential applications of their product. Working prototypes take time and money and they aren't going to do a whole lot of production in any given area until they get the funding from partners interested in a specific application. Most mechanical engineers who review their tech can understand the science and see a working model of an engine. What you frame around it is only a shell that needs to be optimized to the engine's design. In other words, we don't need to see a lawnmower to know this engine could perform the work of a lawnmower. Do they need to build a working model of a torpedo now since they have interest from DARPA? Right now, they show their tech in their test facility to promising and interested parties who have signed NDAs. This has gotten them contracts with Raytheon and other entities.
See this PR http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/080610/0405560.html - showing Raytheon to be the contractor.
Bent Glass is interesting because it will provide the WHE with a real working model and prove the tech (or not).
I think there are several paths this company has embarked upon and which avenue will reach the market first, I can only guess. My instinct tells me the WHE will be the first revenue maker unless the larger companies see enough of the tech to make an offer for the company. The small engine idea for mowers, small equipment, and generators could also leave the ground very quickly depending on real world testing and usage. Seems that area has not been publicized lately and it would be nice to see where the company is at this juncture.
So what does an R&D company coming into the market talk about? They have contracts with Raytheon, Robotics Technologies, Advent Power Systems, and Bent Glass Design. You fail to acknowledge that there are some major engineers kicking the wheels of Cyclone's technology and continue to harp on some intitial projects that the company was focused on. Other things are happening first and their attention has been redirected because their main brains can't be at all places at one time, that is the clear and simple fact.
In general, I think startup and R&D companys coming into market have to take the path of least resistance. Many times as they are developing and finding their "identity" many ideas are put forth in order to find a market. As time goes on, the areas where the market can be penetrated become more obvious. So yes there were several ideas put forth, but the company has to focus their effort where they find penetration. Still, even in the areas where they are doing this (e.g. DARPA) we see that many of their other ideas may come to fruition indirectly. For example, a major car manufacturer may not take on the Cyclone engine for a new model of car but DARPA may create a motor vehicle that eventually makes its way to the mainstream market. The company just has to maintain enough pressure in as many areas as possible with the staff that they have ... then push harder where they find penetration. That's the game they are in now and things are happening. Wish it were faster but I'm a realist. I will agree with one thing that Arnold says and that is I still get nervous with the 1 billion AS sitting over our head and them not updating the OS on their site since early last year. Sure would like a little more transparency there. That's my only negative at this point and all else looks pretty good, especially the WHE because I see a lot of applications for that since I have seen the insides of a lot of industry.
Thanks Piece. eom
Just a waiting game for now, not much to say.
From what I remember, some hedge fund sold a boat load of shares off and was the main reason we are sub dollar. It is slowly making its way back. Company is performing a lot better and margins are improving considerably. EBITA was positive so they are getting close.
Would those shares would be locked up for a while?
dang Walker, why you wanting details all of a sudden?! .. lol

If I knew, I would be retired by now.
Don't know if it is significant but my gsii symbol on yahoo just turned to "symbol not found" today.
Is there any news of any type of business activity going on with this company? Since they are not trading\listed, news items aren't showing up in the regular places. The question is whether they are going through all this trouble to relist in order to dump their shares or to grow the business? Hopefully the latter but skepticism abounds in my mind.
It was from the link to the PInk sheets under Filings in the ibox above. Looks like we have a better source now. thanks
Moderator,
Feel like fixing ibox with most recently available share counts (from Pink Sheet filing submitted 9/08)

I wonder if it could run on junk mail?
Jersey, you are a solidly good person and I hope you are rewarded for your time and effort. Thanks for all you have done.
Guess you need to ask your broker how it will show up on the balance sheet if they remove them from your account. I cancelled my ckys shares after that scam and took credit for the losses and it hasn't triggered any audits yet. I forgot exactly how it showed up on the balance sheet but it showed up in a way that I could show that I didn't own them anymore.
I will hold these shares into next year just in case the totally improbable happens and Gil gets this company back up and running as a public company. Not much hope on that but seeing that jersey has put some effort into making it happen, I figure that the fire is still smoldering.
I think that since they are no longer trading you can have the shares cancelled and take the loss before year's end if that is all that you are concerned with.
Maybe they will give you a picnic basket!
Happy Thanksgiving fellow losers in gsii .. LOL! Oh, I am currently losing in acpw (posting some on the Yahoo board) and welcome others to join me! In all seriousness, I hope everyone stays safe during the holidays and enjoys their family and friends.
