New shareholder here. Takings jugs (aka: the Texas Buffet) advice and buying this promising company. And hey, who could use RECELL more than me, the Burningman? Ha, just a little humor. Well, I was wondering if there were any videos on youtube regarding the RECELL product and there are. But I'ld to share this video of a burn victim from Colorado working in the oil industry just last December. The news media was very surprised to hear of this medical technology:
Am I wrong in taking comfort that Warren Buffet was willing to go as high as $20 billion dollars to assist OXY in buying out Anadarko? I find Warren's interest in the oil industry reassuring. Especially with all world wanting to go Green. So it makes my holding of NGL much more palatable. I only have 5000 shares, so am thinking of changing my handle to "SmallFries", LOL.
Thanks for sharing Jugs, best of luck on both!!!!!
Jugs, what are you and watch30 buying (if you don't mind me asking)?
Brownsville TX !? OMG: I just looked it up on google map, can you get any more south in Texas or closer to the Mexican border? Damn!!!!
I'm ready Captain! NGL is a cruise ship sailing in calm beautiful waters while I am sipping pina coladas in the sun. Lucky to have found this and bought at $9. Only 5000, shares, but if it gets to $18, it will be only the 2nd stock I have owned to ever double.
Lots of insider buys recently, thoughts? They look like options, but not sure.....
Heavy buying at the close of the day Friday. Yahoo and TDAmeritrade charts differ on specifics, but there were people very interested in buying at the close.
Thanks Pete. It shocks me to think I can not rely on TDAmeritrade for accurate information. Wow :(
Market Watch and Yahoo Finance are in agreement regarding what the p/e and eps are. I sent an email to TDAmeritrade to explain. Usually they get back to me quite quickly but they seem confused on this and forwarded it their Tech support group. They are very slow to update their data on the summary page for any stock. For example, once a dividend payout amount changes (thus changing the yield), they take way too long to reflect that. As a result, I am constantly having to go to other sources to cross examine. On another thought. I was wondering why 2 earning periods ago (November 8) it appears (according to TDAmeritrade) NGL had a huge earnings beat ($2.70 vs an expected $ -.10), YET the stock sold off. Why was that? Bad guidance maybe? Thanks again!!!! I am debating buying more and averaging up (a rarity for me).
NGL p/e and eps? Don't know if any of you use TDAmeritrade, but it shows eps: - .75 and p/e: n/a Where as Yahoo shows eps: 2.57 and p/e 5.06 Anyone know which is true, if any? Thanks.
I'll take that as a big Yes.
Oil is having a Bad day and might explain NGL giving back gains today from it's morning high.
Thanks Jugs for the very candid explanation. I may have to sign up for that Texas party yall are planning, LOL :)
That's some damn good trading, Congrats!!!!
Jugs: Great job on doubling your portfolio over the past year. That is nothing short of phenomenal. But I really don't see how NGL has helped you to do that. I am new to NGL (as you know) and when I look at the 52 week chart, I see a stock that was as $13 a year ago and stock that is $13 now. Maybe you were adding Big time at $9??
You mean Absolutely YES. I said run UP not Down. The charts are nearly identical. Even the price points of the black circle. So, if a repeat of history happens, NGL will recover from here and have a big run up. Thanks.
Got this amazing google spreadsheet off of the smlp Yahoo board:

Thanks, I should have gone to their website instead of Yahoo Finance. I am wondering if another midstream company like NGL is poised for a similar big move up. After all, birds of a feather flock together. I did see that MMLP did Not have good earnings and the stock took a hit. SMLP is releasing soon, although they just pushed their reporting date back 5 days and that makes me a nervous buyer. Although I plan on staying in NGL for quite sometime, it sure would be nice to load up another one of these gems pre-earnings. Thanks.
Is NGL considered upstream, midstream, or a downstream company. I'm guessing midstream. Thanks.
SMLP pushed earnings date out 5 days: cause for concern?
Never mind... I see now that the 13g is just an amendment....
I would think a 64,377 AH buy tonight at $13.19 is a big buy, but some of you have huge number of shares and probably don't think so. Anyways, any thoughts on that SEC 13G that shows up today on TDAmeritrade?
TDAmeritrade shows a "SC 13G/A >= 5% Acquisition" posting for today. I suck at SEC filings. What does this mean. I shows ownership of 7.5 million shares, but doesn't explain if that party has added or subtracted to their position. So what to make of that????
Near term catalysts may be analyst upgrades, but it is possible that a dividend increase could be in the cards too. Wouldn't that be a sweet surprise....
Thanks for talking me out of selling the March 15 $12.50 calls. As of today it looks like that was great advice. This board is, as I've said very good. You guys really know this stock. I also saw that tdeck posted that you should always load up on this stock when it is near the $10 range. That also proved true. Also, great posts by our moderators. Great job guys.
I think we're pulling the rope too hard!? It might break, LOL !!!
As a new comer here, and after reading many posts, I'm still confused as to if oil prices impact NGL. Some of you imply it is and others insist it doesn't (or shouldn't). I am wondering a couple things: 1. should we be worried about NOPEC should it get passed. 2. what external conditions need to exist for NGL to get back to paying that .64 dividend again IF NOT HIGHER OIL PRICES? Thanks in advance. This is a great board.
SMLP is also experiencing big buys. I point this out because it's important to know if the high volume in NGL is specific to NGL or sector specific.
correction: will not reach $12.79 ($12.50 + .29) by March 15th.
NGL will drop by .39 cents to $11.61 after the dividend. I am entertaining the idea of selling the March $12.50 call for .29 cents. Effectively gambling that that NGL will not reach $12.89 ($12.50 + .39) by March 15th.
What do you guys think of SMLP? A friend asked me my advice about it and during my research, I found NGL. I decided NGL was the better of the two and got lucky (in terms of timing) and got in at at $9.00. Anyways, just curious what you guys think of smlp also, thanks.
