lol yeah I said that last week. When compared to others in the sector anything under $11 is cheap.
Not going anywhere regardless of what happens. March will be 17 months for me. Best in the sector.
Agreed..Should be at least $11 (US) compared to others in this sector. Any profit at all after earnings March 13th and it should be $16 minimum in my view.
Thanks to Stacker and the other longs for all of the info posted on this board over the last year. Congrats to all, big day for us.
Congrats guys!
$6.88 (U.S.) is the highest close to date? Could meet or beat that today.
This would be the last stock on the planet I'd short. It may have worked for a while but those days are gone.
Fundamentals are pretty strong. Was able to add again today. Congrats to all longs as well as the very longs that had this one out of the box.
Good Day! Have a good weekend!
I like this analysis as well. Village will be the benchmark in 4-5 years.
Thanks for the post. The only hemp related stock you want is the grower. The support stocks are pure speculation. As it stands currently, Village Farms is as close to a stone cold lock to make you money in this sector as it gets.
Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but, can't people just buy stock normally like everyone else?
From the US here and my guess is not very smart when it comes to this. It wont really take off here until it hits the nasdaq. Been adding for the last 13 months when possible. Picked up more today. Under $6 (US) is cheap.
I said a couple of weeks ago it's only a matter of time until these shorts get wrekt.
From the US here. We should see another push tomorrow as our markets are closed today. Listing on the Nasdaq changes the game. Longs with big holdings should hang on. A lot of investors won't take a chance if it's on a smaller exchange. Once they see the program is making money this one will move.
Noticed some shorts get wrekt on a couple of stocks this morning. It will happen here eventually.
This is why I'd rather own this than anything else in this sector. No hype, no potential, no maybe. It's happening.
The price action of late has been interesting.
Tilray2 (vffif) will advance on real earnings going forward. This has to be the best play in the sector. I can't wait for the second, third and, fourth quarters next year.
Tilray went to $200 on nothing. This one is real. Stay long.
Villagers,
You are correct. Considering the potential, this stock is way to cheap. However, the fact remains Village Farms will have to produce in order for us to see the results were know should occur. This will only occur through the quarterly earnings reports. Secondly, investors are going to have to want it. This sector is littered with speculation. At least in the US, less a few stocks that I am aware of such as Twillio, there is no desire for risky plays at the moment. The word needs to get out, Village needs to produce. On the way up, there will be hurdles to climb. Due to the price point, this stock will be flipped on the way up. We are probably another 6 months out from the price moving higher and staying above $10 Stay Long!
Thanks MS!
Hi guys. Does anybody know where I can get a recording or transcript of the call? Thanks In Advance!
Price-It shouldn't bother you. We have ownership in a company that has experience in growing. It has a proven track record for producing great products. A management team that is second to none. However, this will be a slow go. Going forward only real results (earnings) will drive the price in this sector. Village is 1 of 3 that will make it in my view. This is a long term investment.
From time to time the sector will probably sell off for one reason or another. Especially during the early days. Fortunately for us longs this will give us the opportunity to accumulate cheap until the industry leaders can separate themselves. By this time next year we'll know who the money makers are. Village needs to kill it every quarter for it to move forward. I'd rather get profits from results rather than hype. Most of the rest won't last.
I wouldn't flip this. This company is the real deal. Unlike what's available elsewhere, there is no question as to what is on offer here. They are growing the product. With their experience with award winning crops, it should be a quality product. I think this stock will react more like a "real" stock (based more on actual earnings) rather than a speculation play. It's well managed, with a distribution expert now part of the team. This is a lower risk play in my view. Others cost more for less. Will re-evaluate the company at $30. Holding.
New here from the U.S. but not to Village Farms. The stock was mentioned on Bloomberg as a favorite of the analyst during a cannabis segment about an hour ago. Might see the stock react a bit as a result.
