Hunter, you're wrong. You can say anything you want on this board if you say it in a civil manner, with no vulgarity, and don't attack other posters in a personal way. If you want a hoot, go to the RB board. There are only bashers there and they only have themselves to respond to with opinions. Some of them sneak over here but have to be civil (i.e. mongo and his gang). The RB board used to have 150 posts per day, now they have only 10 or 20. Kind of like the parasites eating the host to death thereby killing themselves. LOL
Alwright, tongue in cheek but concerned. Let's hope for some news. Take care.
Tryoty, Thanks for your reply. We're on the same team. Didn't mean for my post to offend. Take care.
Kobiashi, The scenarios were hypothetical and mentioned almost in jest to a poster saying that he wouldn't be troubled with the SP going to .10. I disagreed. I never mentioned any prediction of SP here as I don't have the clairvoyance to do so. What surprises me is the number of posters here who say they are content to just sit back and await the doings of unknown management and dealings in countries where the gov'ts can change like the weather. I am long here and not a basher. One thing I do like is the number of bashers on the board. Good sign. They never bash a bad stock. Asa to ridiculous scenarios, please tell me your take on what has happened in Venezuela. Come on smart guy!
Tryoty, not trying to scare anyone off. You had seemed to be a level-headed poster here so I posted a tongue in cheek type of scenario in answer to your post that said that there would be no harm if the stock went to .10. I disagree. Take a chill pill. Lets hope for news soon. Take care.
Art2004, thank you, I did not know that. Not a basher, hope to have this work for all.
Ajaxxx, my post was mostly tongue in cheek. Just posting some interesting thoughts, at least to me. Ever seen a country take over foreign interests for the home team? I have! Let us hope for good news. I am not a basher and I have my cocktail next to me as I speak. Take care.
Alwright, hope so. I wrote that post with tongue in cheek. How are the Int'l courts doing with other African and middle eastern issues? Sanctions aren't scaring the countries with oil and that's for sure! I've been told to view the governments of Nigeria and STP as "works in progress". Legal documents can be quickly discarded if it found to be in the nat'l intersest of the citizens. Check up on Venezuela and give me your views on that Alwright, with all respect. I'm still new to this (not investments) just this stock. Take care.
Arnold, whenever you are called a b*ll buster you can now answer honestly that you are doing it for the benefit of mankind! Great! Take care.
Tryoty, if the share price sinks to dirt, which is a real possibility with a company with only rights and a little cash, it becomes vulnerable to predators in the market. How about these scenarios:
1. The Chinese tell Nigeria and STP that they will build them billion dollar refineries if only they would get rid of ERHE, and that they would split the revenues that would have gone to ERHE between them and the countries.
2. Chevron and XOM offer to pay 1 billion dollars to both Nigeria and STP if only the would get rid of ERHE, and they would split the revenues with the countries.
I know, sound ridiculous? Couldn't happen! Solid contracts in place! Hey, this is Africa folks, and they don't call it the dark continent for nothing. I'm not a basher Tryoty, just hugely disappointed. This company needs a business plan that is told to the stockholders. Without a good PR of powerful substance there will be no road show IMHO. I will apologize to all for this rant if something good happens. Take care.
ikkegoemikke, thank you for that post. I have copied the list to send to some of my fellow idiot investors. What some posters do not understand here is that this stock can continue to trade even if the company is defunct. Pumpers who were paid in stock and are just now allowed to trade restricted shares (or not) are trying to catch the odd $50 or $100 bill, sad. If the supposed PR were real, we would have heard more by now. Why would someone try to revive a company with a cap of a couple of hundred grand when you can do a new start-up for $500. If the science were real, it would be in the best interests of the holder of the patent pending to blow off the old stockholders. Lost cause? I hope I am wrong and that the rainbow warriors on this board will prevail!
Lakedweller, Alex Khodja, at kswindustries.com. I'm just passing along info I picked up on this board. I think this is a washout myself, but some fellow posters here have spent a lot of time researching this company and feel it may rise out of the ashes, if you will, and so I follow what is going on here. Who knows? The same fellow posters said that they have tried to contact the company and its supposed new JV partner. I have not seen a post since on the matter, so I posted the question that you saw. Take care.
Has anyone been able to contact the "company" or get a response from the new IR guy? TIA
Hunter, good post. Everyone should take responsibility for their own fate. If you buy BS on the board, TS. I agree with you totally when you infer that some posters on the board take the attitude that they are some how more knowledgable or superior to the newbies. From reading this board for over a year, I sometimes feel that some long time posters are more jaded than a regular but concerned poster or have a private agenda (i.e. meridian). Except fot the organized bashing, we all want this to work. Take care.
Tryoty, you are right on! This is a real weak deal. There is a rumor that the CEO (such as he is) may make a statement when he gets back in town mid week. Let's hope for something good. OT I watched the Nigerian polo team play our Newport polo club yesterday, and enjoyed it very much. The players were a little older than your usual int'l team but great sports. Some of them were from the Nigerian military and they and their guests were wonderfully polite and seemed to care very much about good relations with us. And no, they did not ask us to move money out of their country (LOL). Take care.
sllabxam, OT, those were great, thanks. Andy has a book out called Years of Minutes, that has what he feels are the best spots he did on 60 Minutes over the years. If you haven't read it, get it. Take care.
Tryoyty, nothing would make me happier than for you to be spot on! Thanks for your thoughts.
Balance, a road show for a fifty cent stock with no company operations? That ought to catch the eye of the investment community. Our CEO could practice for his road show by telling us what's going on and getting this stock to a buck. Am long here but frustrated, take care.
Janice, for fun, would you tell us if you were part of an organization assigned to watch over idiot children like myself who invest in stocks like this? I mean this in a friendly but serious way. You seemed a little thin-skinned when I teased you a while back about why you are here. You are clearly knowledgable about this "arena". I wrote this off (mentally) way back, but am surprised by the new PR and the appearance of GO GO GO guys who were never here before.
Jsgatt, thanks! LOL I was just about to post a thoughtful bit about the company, its finances, and whatever and have just decided instead to say happy weekend to all of you, and say that I think that this board is made up of the best and most caring group that I have seen. I want this to work and all of to suceed. Take care!
Islandkim, We all know this is risk/reward investing, but do you really think that an investor is asking to be coddled if he wants proof of the existence of the company? I appreciate the digging around you and Calgary have done and that you share it with us, but do you really think that the one PR allows you to answer yes to the four questions you listed? I am not trying to argue here but would like to feel as confident as you feel. TIA
Bigworld, I think your take on things is correct and I concede to your sense of timing for this company. As far as financing goes, however, I think that CYGX probably won't qualify for conventional bank loans. They will probably need an angel in the form of an investment banker or real estate investor or sell some more stock. It seems that the company may be close enough to meaningful production that further dilution after this year may not be necessary. I would love to hear some exciting news that would carry us back to $1.50 and make new PPOs cost around a dollar. Just dreaming, take care.
Blindinvestor, I agree with your take. Without a patent or a really solid patent pending there is very little here to interest an investment banker. This is so small that it will have to rely on selling discounted shares to friends and relatives (being a little facetious here, of course). The silence of management after all the hype last winter is tough to swallow. Someone from the board, I think LOWMAN, said he talked to the company and they didn't want to put out just a fluff PR. I think some sort of progress message is necessary to save this SP for the reasons you cited. I think that they are hurting themselves. IMHO
Dumb Indian, thanks for your thoughts and the laughs. Keep that great brain chrged up! Take care.
Luckydude, thanks for your thoughts, we agree.
JPGetty, good thoughtful post and I don't think you are making too much of it all. I think that we would all feel a lot more comfortable about investing further if we got another another confirmation of ongoing operations from the company, perhaps a reply from the new IR guy or a posting on the website of either JV partner. I am long here because I can't get out without losing 90% (LOL) and I am not a basher. If this is for real I'll be pushing with the best of them. Maybe some of our hardworking fellow posters will get replies or more info. GLTY
To the board, be careful. The people who pump stocks like this are often paid with shares. After it fails, it is in their best interest to keep it looking alive. You can trade the stock of a defunct company for years. I would love to see it work out and plan to hold my shares, but I won't buy more until I see some real company info. I do appreciate the hard work of Calgary, Kim, and others who have tracked this for all of our benefits, and will happily jump back on the bandwagon when I see a comprehensive PR about the company's plans. Wasn't it interesting to see some super psyched dudes jump in here after the suspension was over, you know, guys who never posted here before? Hmmmmm GLTA
Sauce, thank you for the additional input from the SHM. I appreciate your sharing your positive feelings as well and am sure you are sincere. You and Tibbcat have been great!
Tibbcat, thank you very much for the post. I our dreams here come true.
Houndish, it is not unreasonable to expect good corporate communications from a public company. We all want this to work but we have a right to kept abreast of progress on a regular basis. Good companies do that!
No I have not run a biopharma start-up, but I have owned and run three small businesses successfully and sold one to a public company. It is my view that when you see potential problems with a company in which you have a stake, you try and get to the bottom of it. No update from a SHM may signal a problem.
By the way, I can't imagine you running anything the way you fly off and insult people over nothing. Go ahead and contradict people and then post your views like the rest of the board.
Squeegee, Thanks for your thoughtful post.
Lowman, UL approval involves very extensive testing in every aspect of the product from the usage to the safety features. They smash it, they flood it, they wire it up, they do everything they can to find fault. I know a lot about this! You will never get UL approval on a reference or opinion, period. My worry is that the science has failed and they don't have the stones to update us. The silence is pathetic. Not first class. I am an investor, not a basher. I think these guys owe us something. I think the INTEL guy is a shill, to be honest. They only had $750K to run with at the beginning of the year. Hello? Hope I'm wrong and thanks for your esponses.
Houndish, we read your posts. What we expect as stockholders is quick and accurate reporting about the progress of the company that WE own with our fellow stockholders! Everyone on this board is starved for info about the progress of this company and synDNA. The fact that no info comes forth today says a lot, unfortunately. The arrogance of management that says that they may send a bit of info if the CEO can set aside the time says even more. Nobody is bashing here here! What you see is response from hugely disappointed stockholders! We would love to see these guys working "feverishly" towards operating a company in a business-like fashion. No news at all from a sagging deal? The auditing committee was approved! Pathetic!
No news from the SHM. How pathetic is that? Not a nibble on what's going on. The secretary says the prez may get around to posting news in a couple or a few days? I guess he'll have to unwind after the stress of a meeting where he said nothing. Can this be true? Did anyone have information about the SHM? TIA
Blindinvestor, Madog's post is way back warmed-over waffles. This company was all gung ho in Nov. of '05 and Jan. of '06, now nothing at all. The lack of company updates or posts shows what kind of management is here. It is a sign, unfortunately, that maybe the science isn't cutting it. There are no bashers on this board which is a bad sign in this world of MM's. LOL I hope it works out for us, but these guys suck when it comes to corporate communications. There are a couple of positive posters here like LOWMAN but even they are frustrated. This may be another Texas "you know what". Take care.
Holycow, if the company gives us "an overview of progress to date" at today's meeting, that would be great news, if positive of course. If they could then make some projections concerning timelines for success, it would be huge news. I look forward to hearing it all. Take care.
Gandalf, we know that nobody can contact the company or find out where they are located.
Asking sincerely, does anyone have a clue about what is going on here? I'm not a basher, just an investor who reads a lot of posts and wants a best guess about a timeline for this company to be more than a day trader joke. The last PR 60 days ago said the company had appointed two Nigerian accountants to the BOD. That made me the laughing stock of my investment group, all beers on me. I kept track of all OILPHANT's posts and find out that even the sharp people on this board can't make sense of a lot of them, and I now find he is contradicting the good news he had for us a while back, hello? My own humble DD says that there will be no buy-out without drilling in our blocks. Could this stock languish for years? Need help here. TIA
Let us hope that tomorrow management will behave in a business-like manner and give shareholders an idea of timelines for anything that they do. The hiring of the new scientist is good; the possibility that they may have to build a new plant to manufacture the "stuff" is not good news. Will this be a business in 1 year or 7 years? I think that the stockholders are owed an honest update as opposed to the "we are working on ---" delaying crap. Let's hope tomorrow is a better day for all of us!
Bigb, not him. I don't post to him.
