What would be your definition of good earnings (considering no rec sales yet)?
I have purchased Canopy at different entre points including (US dollars): $32,30,24,20.
To give you a more thorough understanding of my amazing skills in the stock market:
In 2008, about 4 months after the market began imploding, I decided to go in because there was blood in the water. After all was said and done, I had a 90% loss. Washington Mutual, Wachovia, heard of them?? Yes. That was me holding them.
After that, for the next ten years, I decided to focus in making money in my actual business rather than in the market until I heard about Canopy and decided to get in and here I am.
Chart that! Jaja
It cracks me up. Every time I read these forums people love to self congratulate on the amazing profits they made or they live to show charts that they made that predicted what happened.
I never see posts from people that lost everything or that they charted and predicted one thing and the exact opposite happened.
I am probably the only one that is an expert at making stocks go down the moment I buy them!
I thought you were out on 2/1???
The issue with Brazil and the rest of Latin America is that there is no money. I am originally from Argentina. I have middle class family over there that make $1000 (dollars) per month. Not much left for weed after rent, food and transportation. Check at the current price of legal weed in Uruguay. I think it is $2/gram retail.
Most people drool when they see the size of the population of Brazil but they need to look deeper into it.
I wonder why the current colapse of the broader market is not having much effect on this sector? Is it just because the sector had already declined heavily prior to the broader market or is it something else? I would assume we should be getting clovered.
Just checked the financials of AOI and they suck.
I am amazed at this part of the article:
“The company, which has a market capitalization of approximately $117 million and has generated $1.2 billion year-to-date “
I would think that a company that has that much in sales would hVe a higher market cap.
The BMO equity financing deal that Canopy got is worth almost 2 times the work of that “big tabacco” company!
Please pardon my ignorance, does Canopy tend to make additional announcements/updates of new developments when they do earning releases?
tough day today?
So, if I understand correctly, licenses are not scarce enough that as soon as a company gets one, its value shoots up?
I am curious, what would you say is the market value of getting an approval for a license to grow medical MJ.
Meaning if you have a company that has gets an approval, does it immediately become a take over candidate?
Do you mean you believe that those public MJ companies are overvalued or under? Unclear from your message.
Nowwhat, give me your prediction for the stock by the time earnings come out. Ballpark of course...
There is a market meltdown that should scare you all and make you sell at ridiculously low prices...joking...trying to keep upbeat on a downbeat day.
I am trying to buy more shares at a lower price but you guys are holding them for dear life...Come on guys..
Any level 2 info on Canopy this morning?
Am I crazy in thinking that those Aurora numbers are miniscule??
That rule seems like a disaster for Canopy and rest of the industry.
I am surprised that the sector fell after yesterday’s excellent parliamentary audience.
Are you looking to enter before earnings? I have to assume they will be very good.
What entry point are you looking for?
What is your view? Does it stay in a tight range moving forward or does it have another leg down?
Great timing! Impressed
Living in the US, I had never see Canadien senators at work until today. I was shocked at how respectful and constructive they were. Even the most conservative senators seemed resigned to the fact that Legal MJ is here to stay.
Bare in mind that I decided to tune in thinking that there could be the possibility of a senator shouting “The legalization of MJ will take place over my dead body!”, but nothing like that happened.
Why is the closing of the BMO deal important? isn't it already priced into the stock?
why do you think that is? They have a socially conservative view or something else?
My take on the delay is that the federal government will probably legally before the end of July so that they can say they got it done, but provincial governments will not give the green light till the Fall.
I would be amazed is this stock does not end higher tomorrow.
I listened to the senate hearings and was surprised by how little resistance was displayed by the opposition to the mj bill.
I am seeing a very similar “head clonk” like yesterday.
HOD close?
This has the look that bottom has already been set.
Disnt Aurora just buy a stake in liquor stores to sell mj in them? However, according to these laws, that will not be allowed. They will have to be sold in stand alone locations.
I will look at that senate meeting to see if I sense much hostility in the questions asked to the panel.
I am surprised the sector is not even lower considering the massive drop of the major indexes.
I couldn't find at what time the senate meeting will take place. Does anyone know?
15% gap down?
Any level 2 quote?
Buy order at $13 (US)?
