Thank you Allie!
I read your post #7412 on the other board. I'm sure the reference was for me.
I Concur!
kowboy . . . over the years, occasionally I do come out with some dry humor. Glad you liked it!
kowboy . . . "I Agree!" Ha, Ha!
icrom56 . . . what a great post. There have been so many speculative posts lately and what really "corks me off", is someone posting a comment and then another sends a reply of, "I agree". Is that necessary? I waste more time reading trash. Can we cut it out? One might say that I am doing the same thing right now, but I really have not read a post stating that in the past few weeks there has been nothing but unnecessary speculative trash.
To all with due respect, but I see this same type of impatiency with another "whopper" stock. A PR comes out and then everyone jumps on it dissecting, reading between the lines, wishful thinking and then more analyzing and when the next PR comes out it wasn't what they wanted to hear. Here's an analogy. You get a piece of cake, looks great! I always turn it on its side and start at the bottom and do the yummy rich whipped cream topping for last. Now if Mr. Bay came out with the icing part immediately, who would care about the bottom of the cake. Am I making sense here?
Hey Mike . . . you're warm on Fiddlesticks. What can I say, the printing industry has been good to me. Good Luck to you.
Martingale . . . with all due extreme respect for your law background and 30 years of stock investing, may I ask if you analyze every stock at such great length before making an investment?
With some 50-60 years of buying stocks I must be the most naive investor on this planet but when I first did read the comments on this board, I was "hooked". So after reading board comments, I made an initial purchase at .003 and additional purchases afterwards. I am sitting on 11.5 M shares with an average of .004. All of this at literally face value and some board DD. At age 84 I am having fun with this stock. No reading between the lines, no looking for hidden meanings, but then again I never studied law.
For me, Paul's answers do not have said hidden meanings. To put it in the words of the Lone Ranger's Indian friend, Tonto, "White man Paul, no talk with forked tongue."
Thank You CapnDon for your kind words! eom
Hi Allie! Was just curious afte reading all those Veterans comments, are there any Spoozers around that were in the "Good War" beside me? I think there was a book put out by that name. Stutts Turkle (spelling)?
Nighty-nite Boca Buddy. Nice and cool here in Ft. Myers. Boca too?
Baa, baa, baa. I am one of the "herd" who is grazing on this patch of grass worth 11.5 M. I wouldn't even think of going to another pasture.
Boca . . . Home was Western Springs and Burr Ridge and now Ft. Myers
Hi Stocrates . . . Yes, I remember my first stock. I bought 200 shares of the company I gave 45 years to. R R Donnelley, a printing firm based not too far from the Spooz office in Chicago. That stock split several times and really made a difference in our young married life.
But then, I do have some "horror" stories to tell too. Oh yuck!
Thanks guys for all the kind words.
MuchCompensation . . . I also think that the Spooz office will be "jumpin" in December. I probably needed to hear what you said, "If anything, just tell them they have a bunch of supporters behind them." Maybe when the time draws near, if there are some real pertinent questions you may want me to ask Paul or Darryl, you might e-mail them to me. Yes? We have time for that.
Hi Boca Buddy and MC!
I have been here all the while reading hundreds of posts. I'm aware of what's been going on. Still have all my Spoozers (shares) in tact. I have been in stocks about 60 years now and a "little bump in the road" won't have any fall out of the pickup 'cause the tail gate is up! Yeah!
I just felt that there were too many repetitious posts on the board so I didn't want to add to the clutter. Annie, MC, Boca, Wing, IW, etc. can hold our end up very nicely, thank you!
My two daughters don't want me to be alone at Christmas time so they're planning a centralized family-type reunion in downtown Chicago on Dec. 26-29. Sure will be nice to get back "home" for a visit. Along with that I'm trying to make up my mind if I should see our Spoozers at their office. I don't know "beans" about software and what they would show me is far too far out of my comprehension. Will have to think about that one for a while.
Bye . . .
Ovidius, I don't think I ever heard Doc say you were going to make a "killing" in a couple of months. Get serious. Research of the nature that NNVC is in does not get resolved overnight. Cry, cry, cry.
Hi Boca baby . . . I'm here too. Took me a while to get off my rocker. Really nice to see all these friendly faces.
Boca, man can I relate to your statement, "Invest only what you can afford to lose." I had my daughter buy 3800 shares and I bet she's thinking, "Pop you gave me a bum steer." You know with 11.5 M shares you can imagine how high "High Tide" was, but truthfully, I got more p----- o-- last night losing twenty bucks in a poker game. Tomorrow's another day. Maybe we'll have tandem rockers on that deck yet.
maxtil . . . after reading your post I decided to look at my records and I find my first purchae was Nov. of 2004. So we do have something in common.
Drag
My name is Dragutin . . . I have had VYON for what seems like ages, but still hanging on. What I need to sat is that I am so pleased that alert minds are beginning to use this board. The crap that goes on elsewhere is unexceptable. What trash! Thank you all.
Dragutin is registered, but I'm kinda' slow. Does that entitle me to view/read the presentation? Can someone fill me in?
Boca Bobby . . . how about Burghoff's? I was in Chicago last week. I see the Chicago Theatre is up for sale again. Then there was Como's Restaurant. And a shacky place on Canal St. near Cermak. Ah mee, Memories
i needmore shares . . . I still remember my late wife of 60 years telling me whenever I had diarhhea (?) of the mouth . . .
"It's not what you say it's how you say it." Never forgot that!
bucks . . . there you go again
"and many of us shareholders are uneasy"
How many is many . . . three?
bucks . . . my problem with your statements is that you keep saying:
"we shareholders"
"us shareholders"
"all of us shareholders"
I don't have a problem with what Paul has done and I don't think he's taking care of himself FIRST . . . and you may have seen that many of "us shareholders" don't seem to agree with your statements.
Here we go again. Why are we talking about Paul and whether he would sell and go into retirement? How does anyone know what Paul is going to do?
Many thanks to you EBI!
I'm sorry friends. Have a mental freeze. How do I find this 141 Capital page that's mentioned frequently? Here in Florida they call it a "Senior Moment." Thank you!
Moan and groan you guys. I just got in at .0088 and put 1/2 Mil in my pocket. Will buy two rockers, one for me and one for my wheel-chair buddy. Good view of the Smokies, eh pal?
Yeah, Florida for the party. Like SW Florida.
And wordplay, "Yes, you are in a very small minority thinking something is wrong. Dont you have any comprehention why the quiet period is in force?
Coolmark0123 . . . It would be in very poor taste if you are just horsing around with all of our emotions. Very poor! It certainly is taking all we have to keep our frustrations and emotions in check with this quiet time, which seems to be taking forever and then you come up with this "NEWS AT 9 AM".
What makes you so special to be the recipient of an e-mail from headquarters?
Correction to the third paragraph.
"Know a date has been set"
These are some ramblings from "an old guy" about this quiet time. This is a scenario I keep envisioning. Two sides finally come to an agreement. One side says, "When shall be announce this pact?" The other side says. "How about this day (?)" They both agree on a particular day.
Here is my point. Would it be appropriate to even ask Paul if a date has been set? Unless I missed a post somewhere, we Spoozers are just waiting for . . .
Do you see what I'm getting at? Knowing a date for the end of quiet time seems a little more certain than . . .
Oh, why don't I just shut up and take my pills and go to bed.
I told the kids we were going to the Smokies in June. So I rented a cabin (sleeps 18. Also has a gorgeous view with a rocker. Be there a week.
I hope someone gives me a push on the rocker every now and then.
JLT4738 . . . I'm in for as long as it takes or as long as I live, whichever comes first.
CentPennie . . . For Pete's sake did the SPOOZ paint job on the shuttle blow off in the ignition? Somebody quick paint it on.
boca bobby . . . you state: "I hope I live that long." Patience, my son! At 84, I hope I am still alive, but I think I will. I want to make life easier for my two daughters and six grandchildren. I still dream of huge cabin in the Smokies where I can sit in a rocking chair when I get old. Hah!
That's a great analogy, but I think you've been watching too much poker on TV. Ha! Ha!
