And thats all it is, a trial. You dont seriously think that any of the major carriers are going to limit themselves by utilizing scanlife, why would they? scanbuy is definately making noise, which is good because I personnally think that the USPTO is going to render a decision soon and it wont be as favorable to scanbuy as they think it will. As I mentioned in an earlier post,NEOMS patents have been gone over with a fine tooth comb by experianced PATENT attorneys who had all the time they needed to find ANY flaw. Bottom line, they licensed.
Not going to take anything away from scanbuy they are paying for alot of exposure which is helping educate (no pun intended) N.A.
My only advice to scanbuy would be, "if your making money on any of this, you may want to save some of it because I think that when the smoke clears with the USPTO it's goona cost you!"
There is no need for you to leave this board at all, I have enjoyed your insight's, people here are passionate about the company that's all, so please rethink your leaving.
Maybe thats what CH has in mind. Stepping up to the microphone and announcing a deal that will make Mr. Bukeley turn white and start to sweat.
either way, I am happy to see both of them at the same forum each telling "their side of the story" if you will.Would like to hear what is said and see who fires the first shot over the bow...
Something has to be going on. I have noticed over the last week or so that our volume has been, on the average, alot higher...so I really hope someone out there is accumulating, pending the release of some very good news, very soon.
I totally agree that we should see a decision by the April deadline, not the 20-24 months previously mentioned here...lol

Here's what I like about the job description:
"You will be working on enhancing business support systems for a technology that will soon be very visible to the common mobile phone user worldwide."
beam11, no need for you to apologize I enjoy and respect your posts. I guess the renewed talk of a lawsuit hit a nerve....lol
As to whether or not I have time, yes I do, nothing but time, within reason....
I look at it this way, I still have 16-18 yrs to work, if NEOM hits it big within 3-5 yrs then I will be able to retire much sooner. If it doesn't hit it big, then I remain working forever..lol
Unless scanbuy has licensed us, which would be fine also.
Unfortunately DR. we put way to much in the last BOD and they broke it off in us. I can say with about 100% certainty that their "vision" of a super company was crack induced.I often wonder where we would be today if CH had been at the helm 3 yrs ago.
Were still alive, barely, but alive none the less and I really think CH and the boys have something brewing, that we will be privy to in the not to distant future.
Added: has anyone heard from Jeff Mould and do you know if we are still a part of announce mobile?
yeah your right, but man it really sucks to see the amount of PR's they have put out. I hope that our next PR is absolutely HUGE and draws the attention of everyone in this space!!
just flippin wonderful, where does that leave us now?? and with which carrier?
in4it, I think you are exactly right. Scanbuy has PR'D alot over the last few weeks, can ANYONE see any dollar amount attached to any of those deals? I can't.
Scanbuy is, IMO, buying alot of these deals and getting their name out there, which in turn will help us in the near future. They are paying alot of money to get the word out about this technology. When the smoke clears around the USPTO challenge then I think you will see a PR by NEOM stating to the effect of "scanbuy has agreed to pay xxx dollars to license our IP."
Well, on the brighter side it's good to know that sprints "creative people" are aware of what we provide, and it seems that they are fully aware of that perticular Aztec code and one can only assume (yes I know what happens when you assume..lol) that they read the WSJ article, why else would they have selected that code over any other.?
JP, was there any indication that it was going to be posted soon? or was it just a general response of "keep watching the website"? Thanks
Thanks roadog, appreciated.
Are you able to post a link to U.S.A today?
Couldn't the same thing be said for Virgin?
I Would think that they had some pretty smart attorneys who looked into the patent issue also and found them to be tight.
just another take on it.
risktaker, glad to see you here again.
welcome to the million plus share club!
beam11, I couldn't agree with you more! thank you for that post.
Some of the conspiracy theories here are truly amazing and serve no purpose what so ever.
Someone wondered why no one else but Neomedia PR'D this, and questioned whether or not GSMA and OMA were even aware of it. WOW! thats like PR'ING something along the lines of "were happy to announce that Google..." doesn't make sense.
This space is now getting smokin hot and we are fully in the mix, whether or not some people want us to or not. My money is still on NEOM being the leader and 2008 should be a banner year for us all.
Gotta love his confidence! knock'em dead Chip.
Amen to that!! thanks allin
That might be why CH implied that they may not respond to the PTO. Challenges to our patents have been filed and lost by others, maybe they are solid and there is nothing to worry about. I would love to be a fly on the wall at the EFF if NEOM doesnt reply to the PTO I would venture a guess that there would be some seriously nervous people there wondering what in the world is going on and knowing that they cant respond or add anything.
Thank's, I appreciate your response.
So this one patent would be the final nail? just trying to understand it all, thanks.
If the USPTO does, for whatever reason rules against us what exactly will that do to us?
JP seemed to think that it wasnt a death blow, so I am curious as to how this would affect us in the long run? Anyone?
Sure seems like the PR and whatever CH is doing in S.F is working. 13 mil. plus shares traded and we closed green, keep it up Chip lets get out of CTIA with a PPS of oh say .10..
jonsieatl, whats your take on the USPTO ruling?
Did anyone check with the USPTO to see if and for how long they can extend their review of our patents if they choose to do so? just curious. The faster its done the better we will be in the PPS department.
Your right about them being able to dump us, but man do I hope that they dont. Ben88 can you shed anymore light on what the professionals maybe thinking? tia
But they wont. Why? because they stand to make a whole lot more $$ over the next several years when this takes off for real.
JP,its been a pleasure having you post here, I looked forward to your posts and insights, you will be missed. Take care of yourself and good luck with your holdings here.
Exactly, and I am really glad that he is focusing on making sales. Anyone who thinks that neom is going to be the only player here is sadly mistaken, we may own the most important patents which will have to licensed from us. The USPTO is going to be resolved in our favor, sometime back I recall a company possibly some government entity who was using qode or wanting to use our IP, the article had an interview from those people stating something to the effect that they had their 12-15 attorneys review neoms patents and found them to be rock solid, in my opinion this is a last chance effort by EFF/SCANBUY to try and salvage something, success622 posted scanbuys patents applications several weeks ago, out of what 10? applications only two were allowed, this month is going to be huge for us and FINALLY put to rest all of this patent issues!!
Excellant post Drmyke3, well thought out! thank you
On that we can agree, any "old" investor is down so much that whats another couple of thou.. Would be nice to have found out about neom today I could have 2xs the shares for 1/3 of what I have invested now. Still I remain positive that CH will get us back on track and PROFITABLE, the USPTO ruling is due no later than 24 days from now, the rest of this year should be very telling of where we will be headed going into '08
I want to see $$$$ amount attached to a PR showing what we are making off of this.........Thats all I want for Christmas
That has revenue written all over it.
That wouldnt be such a bad idea, I wonder how the rates would be for us if we went that route.
I hope that CH has alot of smaller licensing agreements lined up. This space is huge and if we can get most of the smaller companies and a few of the larger ones,(those that want to play nice and license from us) then everyone comes out a winner IMO. Chip knows what it will take to put us squarly in the middle of this.
Thanks for the reply.
I agree with you 100%, but I think CH may be looking at making some money and establishing ourseleves as a legitimate company, if thats the case then a partial win would benefit us all, at least at this time. Any future infringers should be able to look at the "virgin" settlement and "scanbuy" (if we have in fact reached an agreement) as proof that our patents are solid.
I agree somewhat that we need a solid win, but with things the way they are I'm sure that those in the industry would view scanbuy licensing our I.P as a win. Chip is right on the money with wanting everyone to license with us because if the $$ projections are even close the next 2-3 years should be absolutely huge for everyone, and if we are getting a cut of the profits then thats fine by me.
