Is Hacketts becoming a Pickens General Store?
No worries...dilution subsiding soon.
Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. - Winston Churchill
Mr. Swartz has also engineered at least 2 reverse splits, and was also involved in the very questionable transfer of Jreck assets from his convicted-fraudster father to a Colorado shell Chris later came to control - a move that helped protect the assets of the prison bound elder Swartz.
There was no retraction. A single point was CORRECTED. Please figure out the difference. The statement made by the author concerning the "insider" status of Diedre was corrected in a follow up post. I also suspect that Tom's attempt to talk to the author was related to that very issue.
Ooops!...631,000,000 shares added since the 'infamous' statement made on 1/24/08. That's an avg of 126,000,000/month. I love Tom's definition of "subside"! Hey...at this rate, we'll be at 2,000,000,000 by Labor Day.
Like Tom doesn't know what the fuss is all about. Give me a break. He would have to be deaf, dumb, blind...and stupid not to know. His refusal to address this very issue is why I have turned against him. He is pathetic.
Personally, I like Tom's "creating shareholder wealth" line.
Don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm down a TON on my investment, and my average is far below a penny. Shareholder wealth? What a joke.......no, what a LIE! I wonder how many former shareholders can brag that Tom made them wealthy?

571,000,000 shares added since the 'infamous' statement made on 1/24/08. That's an avg of 114,000,000/month. Of course the rate has "subsided" since 6/13, when it was 118M/month. Hey...at this rate, we'll be at 2,000,000,000 by Thanksgiving. Then we can REALLY be grateful!
560,000,000 shares added since the 'infamous' statement made on 1/24/08. That's an avg of 112,000,000/month. Of course the rate has "subsided" since 6/13, when it was 118M/month.

I might not believe even if he said it. SOME CEOs will do whatever it takes, including lying to shareholders. It's been done before. I don't expect it to stop anytime soon.
There are lots of people here who are banking on a relationship between SWVC and Tom's other projects. I don't care how many boards he is on, or what other companies he is involved with. It is all pure speculation based on an unsubstantiated quote posted by AP. Until there is VERIFIABLE evidence of a financial arrangement between SWVC and Tom, or any of these other companies, people are wasting their time.
Chapter/verse, AP. You're not going to get away with that quote as evidence of Tom's intentions.
Well, then tell the rest of us. I'm 1200 miles away so getting out there is next to impossible. I've been all over the web trying to find whatever it is that you're hinting at. The only thing I've come up with is the GS Agrifuels Culbertson processing facility, but that's on the other side of the state.
WSF...It is encouraging to see what this company MIGHT look like down the road, but for now could you revise your valuation from "what-if" to "actual"? Thanks.
I see I missed the SWVC Love Fest last night. I hope somebody was thoughtful enough to bring protection.
Does one have to be a tax delinquent in order to be eligible for Citizen of the Year?
Are biofuels in SWVC's future?
GS Agrifuels buys out Sustainable Systems (Montola) 17 months ago, and not one bit of news from them since that time.
Here's the PR dept. delivering the latest news...

Well...Tom certainly knows what it means to "Go Forward".
It seems that neither 'hell nor high water' is going to stop him from following through with the corporate plan.
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
AP should know.
I pay attention to none of them.
Interesting philosophy...I wonder if it serves you well in all situations.
Blanket statements sure can be problematic, eh?

Economic statistics at the macro level cannot account for the thousands upon thousands of individual financial choices and decisions that are made by a given populace. Your story...and I think it is a great American success story...is unfortunately only one of many that collectively create the stats that we see, so my posting cannot be construed as making a "blanket statement".
Looking at the statistical BIG picture will reveal to merchants the probability of success or failure in any given geographical area, and unfortunately for upstate New York, the odds of success by any given merchant are significantly less than in other areas of the state or country.

Second home owners and vacationers you can bunch into the same group...not sure statistics that track that group. As for the cost of living, I know that it costs more to live in Watertown NY than in the closest large town in my area.

Niche shops don't do well in economically depressed areas. But what do I know...maybe Tom, his family, and his friends will be able to shop there. He might even get an employee discount.

If Tom can buy your loyalty, then what else is for sale?
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
Maybe you need to read it yet again. I am not belittling you. Rather, I believe you hit upon the truth in your moment of crisis.
Not quite. Private businesses reduce net profit to avoid excessive tax payments. Showing a small profit will help avoid the scrutiny of the IRS.
I guess this was your alter-ego then...

Todays PR is a slap in the face as far as I'm concerned! If you're gonna PR something, at least make it something worthwhile! Now I see why folks turn to the dark side! Complete BS. Tom hasn't got a lick of political skills. If SWVC was a Kingdom, he would have already been overthrown by the people!!
I especially like the comments about Tom's abilities. What changed your mind, chunky?
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
Just ONE truly informative shareholder letter may have kept those shareholders loyal, but his silence tells me that Tom cares little for the concerns of shareholders, or maybe his inaction is all part of the plan. Maybe I'm just cynical, but one has to wonder if Tom would act any differently toward employees if push came to shove.
His reputation, in my eyes, is unredeemable.
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
...good old fashioned hype and speculation
yeah, that's what got us here in the first place.
You still have not made any direct connection between Tom's other ventures and how it will ever benefit us. It's nothing more than pipe dreams until a tangible financial relationship is established between SWVC and any of these other entities.
Can you explain how any of this benefits SWVC?
Here's the lady herself...

"BTW, spread the word...The old Reds (now called the Abbey) is the place to go Friday night for Class of 93's pre-party! Do you think they still serve pitchers of Red Death? Can we play Pearl Jam's "10" album over and over and over? And maybe, just maybe, some bikers will show up and we'll all have a round of PBR on Frank!" - Pearl Ashcraft-Scozzafava '93
...just for the record, if you look hard enough you will find her current e-mail. Might be useful...maybe not.

I would be willing to bet that there are less than 10 common shareholders who are green....out of what 4000, 5000, 6000, or more who hold. That is downright pathetic.
Senior VP out there hawking products...rubbing elbows with the public. Why can't Tom do that for his company?
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
Under a penny, but not fortunate enough to get any 000s.
Tom said that he "expected dilution to subside shortly". You don't think he would lie to us, do you?
Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario - Summer 2007
Tom said he was "creating shareholder WEALTH"...What, you don't think I should have believed him?
