cass - what you say happens with all co's to some degree - intc goes up prior to the qtr or some event, say a new type of chip where the anticipation is for good news then the pps goes down some a few days after the release - of course the pps will go down prior to the qtr or some event, say a recall of a chip when the news anticipated is bad then if the news isn't so bad or put in context usually the pps goes back a few days later - not unique to EDIG - it's the market
remember a BULL market looks overbought too!
YES - last week
cass - EDIG reports per the accepted rules NOT too please you - get a grip
cass - doesn't seem you have ever cruised on a large elegant cruise ship or are not observant - I cruise annually portable dvd players abound either rented from the purser or brought on by the user - they are most used during sea days in the common areas or in the rooms as available tv is suspect - sorry read last sentence, you haven't cruised yet - enjoy - sdr
cassie - my info on Fred's purchase is in the March 2000 10K - the other info was obtained by calling EDIG - you said / implied all his purchases were @ $.08 - no so - no EDIG ddi not break the law if they had the SEC would have been all over the company and it's management - their records were under severe inspection because of the application to become a full Nasdaq trading company - there you with your silliness
cassie - as usual you misrepresent/lie - Fred exercised 751,684 shares Q1'2000 @ $5.46 per shr - total value $6,962,470 - his cost $4,104,194 and paid taxes on $2,858,276 per AMT tax schedules - he also exercised options around June 2000 when the share price was around $6.00 and paid taxes again - RP exercised some options around the same time frame - as for your stuff on Diaz what you stated is when the company issued the restricted shares not when purchased - that was done a few weeks earlier when the share price was around $.325 per share - this should be obvious to someone as well informed as you??? - it is illegal per the rules to do a private placement at more than a 7% discount to the average share price on the day of the transaction - try rising above your negative self once in awhile
rolling -actually it does explain it - you require more call EDIG
owd - it seems much too early to know if APS is successful or not - probably much more cost efficient to let APS proceed but not to the point of lost opportunity -
rolling - read it word by word , it is really quite simple - EDIG can mkt the Digeplayer and does not have to rely on the success of APS
cas - as usual you are wrong - EDIG can mkt to airlines and my guess will if APS doesn't do a good job - as you recall , well maybe not since your world is very different from most here - the only thing APS owns is the form factor the rest is owned by EDIG, as a result all EDIG has to do is change the form factor and can then mkt to all the airlines they wish to - also EDIG is not tied to APS when it comes to mkting to other travel related and other industries- I think EDIG would like APS to be very successful in their mkting efforts but should they not be EDIG can run with it
ff - yes,of course we are coming out of a deep oversold bear mkt - we have also seen extreme narrow consolidation with the bears and the shorts having little if any affect or follow through - this and improving fundamentals bode well for the future - in my view EDIG can be seen in much the same way - also there are many stocks that have the technicals and extreme short positions in overbought mkts to support more upside
- nothing is set in stone -
cliffy - what firm allows you to short EDIG - I and maybe others would like to have this info for future consideration - Thanks
ff - maybe but actually the extreme short positions on individual stocks and the mkts generally along with under investment have caused hugh gains in many stocks such as jcom , sohu, sina, yhoo, intc etc and the mkts over the last twelve months - what you say about resistance levels is true and usually after consolidation that resistance level is passed thru resulting in increased buying by investors and shorts alike - at the next resistance level shorts short and some longs sell but if the company is on the upswing with it's business that resistance level is passed thru and the cycle begins again - yes techicals are important when taking a position and generally tell in advance what the fundamentals will reveal
ff - in the event of good news and they need to buy in the shorts increase relative liquidity - this is especially helpful to the longs in stocks with limited shares in the float or where the longs are committed to the longterm and do not hit the bid with exceptionally high voloume on news so as to drive the price down - obviously if there are more sellers than buyers the pps will go down and can become a better entry point to buy
ff - shorting will not in of itself cause the pps to go down can't happen - negative issues at the company or a bad mkt will cause the pps to go down - shorts hope to take advantage of this - most hedge funds that use shorting as a strategy have been killed in the last year - if it was possible to short EDIG that would be great because the larger the short position the more likely the pps will go higher - good news combined with investor, traders and shorts scurrying to buy (cover their short position) will cause the share price move higher - at some point the shorts go short again many times at a higher price more good news comes out and the buy cycle starts again -
I'm more inclined to think hpq or gtw //
jtdii - don't know about dell's monitors but samsung is the manufactuerer of gtw's plasma sets
ff - nice , convenient but doubt the 5% number - could be you remember it wrong - when Collier was around he was apparently close to a bundling deal with GTW - a major problem, not enough margin - if anyone needed/needs to promote pc sales it's GTW
ff - be nice to see your source - but grocery stores operate on 5% or less margins not technology companies
sent - the market makers are seeing buy orders and are looking for stock - lowering the bid induces the uninformed to sell - this is normal accepted proceedure - more importantly the tight stop loss area of $.42 seems to be holding and consolidation is on going developing a higher base of support - this is investors not traders - if you are not a seller the bid has no meaning
ff - I don't know if EDIG earned $1,000,000.00 up front for their work or not but I doubt they pocketed it aka a thief in the night - as a minder you should remove the derogatory tone from your comments or stop posting - as to some of the other stuff about what EDIG should tell us about the pipeline of cashflow they are not required to do so and it is irrelevant but I think Alaska Air fronted the $$ for development of the IFE device to APS who in turn paid EDIG and others for their work on the device - EDIG will report quarterly and annually in the manner prescibed by the SEC, NASDAQ etc.not the way posters here and perhaps elsewhere seem to think they should
acrazjo - interesting too - only 19,100 shrs traded @ .42 - which also was a reasonable price point for a tight stop loss - .01 below the old high -
to all that died on 9/11 and to our soldiers that have died covering our back and those continuing to protect us since 9/11
johny - Cliffie boy and others have talked about EDIG being shorted - as far as I know shorting EDIG is impossible when using a reputable full service or online broker - maybe it's possible offshore but I seriously doubt it
4th highest daily trading volume this year
lots of OT here today
cliffie - I was addressing your generalization about Buffet and AMZN , which you seem think is valid - and your answer to me is a totally different topic than the one addressed by me to you - why don't you learn to express your opinions, along with basis for them more clearly - that way you wouldn't answer a reply like mine by essentually changing the topic of the reply
cliffie - Buffett recently converted $500 million of convertible debt in LVLT into common stock at $3.41 per share - something around 146 million shares plus in a company that is not profitable
cliffie that's music to many here
thanks Cliffie that will be wonderful
gan that's not true cliffie boy posts on agora aka creulin
cas - you seem to be the self proclaimed fountain of knowledge on all topics , you tell me
IPI used to be called SVI Solutiions and can hardly be called a super successful company - my guess Ran left for a paycheck, he lives in the Carlsbad area where IPI has it's HQ and he had a recent addition to his family - also Ran seems to move around quite abit- also about 5 months ago there was a rumor going around that one on EDIG's management team was leaving - Ran's leaving seems to close that rumor
MH- this is killing me to agree with you on something BUT you 100% correct
ff -sorry for the late reply - best not to be too explicit here as the "watchers" become distrubed - most here can recognize the articulate incompetents among us
Guys - think about this before responding to some here - BEWARE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS PERSON IN BUSINESS (AND IN LIFE) -- THE ARTICULATE INCOMPETENT
cass - that's correct - OPM is the blood of all public co's if EDIG's float were 200 million shsand they are successful it is not relevant - if EDIG fails it is also not relevant - recently CY issued $500million of convertible securities which if converted will add 27,586,206 to their shares outstanding , an increase of 22% - besides no of this affects those that do not own EDIG shares -
f - of course not - senior management of other public co's buy shares in the open mkt - in fact some here have advocated that EDIG management buy shares in the open mkt
hh - the amount of shares sold is not relevant , what is is the $$ and who the shares were sold to = investors not lawyers or someone else for services rendered - you and others here have no idea if they have gained licensing or other types of fees - it seems to me you and others that live here 24/7 with apparently no where else to go to get attention you crave - yet you think you know how to run a company/business - you don't realize yours and some others here like you, have opinions with so little relevance they would be lost on a fleas chest
