Cruiseline: Ship Of Gay, Nude Passengers Barred From St. Kitts
POSTED: 12:35 pm EST March 23, 2005
UPDATED: 1:10 pm EST March 23, 2005
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- A cruise ship carrying gay and nudist passengers was temporarily stopped and prevented from entering the Caribbean country of St. Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday, a company official said.
A Windjammer Barefoot Cruises ship carrying 110 passengers was stopped by local authorities off the smaller island of Nevis early Wednesday morning, said Shannon Manno, vice president of sales for the Miami Beach, Fla.-based company.
"Local authorities told cruise ship employees that they had concerns about letting the ship in because it was a gay and nudist cruise," Manno said. "We're working on resolving the issue with higher authorities in the St. Kitts and Nevis government because this type of cruise has been there before."
An official at the St. Kitts Tourism Authority could not confirm or deny the report, but said gay cruises have come to the former British colony in the past.
"We have had gay passengers and cruise ships and there has never been any problem in the past," said Randolph Hamilton, a senior manager at the tourism authority.
The ship had previously stopped in St. Maarten and Anguilla and there were no problems, said Sharon Kersten, a publicist for Miami-based event production company Source Events, which organized the cruise.
"The passengers can be nude while the ship is at sea but once they come to shore they obviously have to be clothed," Kersten said.
The ship is the S.V. Polynesia, a 248-foot schooner. Most of the passengers aboard are Americans, Kersten said.

thanks firefight. Goodnite longs.
IT CLEARLY states "OVER THE TIME WARNER CABLE SYSTEM, channel 20" - to me that is the WHOLE system. If not - I would have expected it to be stated so.
idiots, idiots everywhere!
Balataboy, Richard told me that Rene, himself and 1 other person wrote and proofed that PR. It is NOT a template PR - My opinion here: It is highly likely that ICAN STOLE it from us. But they are looking into it - and will update us today.

A Private Group of Investors is in the Process of Purchasing a Large Portion of QBID Stock
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – March 21st, 2005 –Triangle Multi-Media (Pink Sheets: QBID) the parent company of Q Television Network, was informed late last week that a private group of investors is in the process of buying a large portion of its QBID stock. The private group of investors has committed themselves to buying QBID stock up to .01.
"We are delighted to have such strong support for our company. Management and I feel strongly that the stock is extremely undervalued and we believe it won’t take long to see the price of the stock at a penny,” stated Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. “Our company is stronger than ever. We are building something great in Q Television, but there is a clear disconnection between the explosive growth of the company and the current price of the stock.
“Furthermore, we believe our stock is being unjustifiably suppressed and we can no longer sit back and tolerate that type of manipulation. We are working with the private investors and are taking active steps to turn this around. We feel strongly this will restore confidence in our loyal shareholders and restore true value in our company stock," said Olsen.

Just talked to Richard. He seems to be way on top of the situation.
Irish, Q is in the process of doing something about it! Watch the website for more info this afternoon. (was what I was told) But at the rate this is dropping today- I would expect the info much sooner than that.
Foxy - the term "not looking to sell" or "not seeking buyers" is regularly used in the business world in order to force the offering company into sweetening the deal. That is exactly what is going on here. IMHO
Thank You!!
Thank You Jacques0
** TAX QUESTION** What is a good way to do all my trades for tax purposes? Is there a free computer program out there? What does everyone here use.
If it does work out. Boy - that will be interesting.
LOL, I guess there is always a chance.
So skunks, what is your take on the offer. Deal done? No chance? etc.
Viacom chief might leave post early

Sumner Redstone indicated on Friday he might relinquish the chief executive's post at Viacom, the media company, earlier than expected.
Under a board-approved succession plan, Mr Redstone was due to go by 2007. But on Friday he said he could speed up his departure depending on the outcome of Viacom's planned split into two separate companies.
“I may accelerate giving up the role of CEO...once both companies are up and running,” Mr Redstone said. He rejected recent speculation that he might stay on as CEO of both new companies after a deal, saying: “There are no circumstances under which I am going to delay giving up the CEO position I have.”
Succession issues at Viacom have moved to the forefront following the company's recent announcement that it is considering an overhaul of its corporate structure. Under the plan, one company would include fast-growing cable networks, such as MTV, while another would contain broadcasters such as radio stations and the CBS network.
The split would resolve a succession issue at Viacom by giving each of its co-chief operating officers, Tom Freston and Les Moonves, a company to lead.
Mr Redstone, 81, appeared to address his future out of frustration that the succession talk was clouding the merits of the division plan, which has been proposed after an extended slump in Viacom's share price.
“This is a strategic plan, not just a plan to raise the price of the stock,” Mr Redstone said, speculating that other media companies might consider spin-offs after a decade of ambitious acquisitions.

OK, got it - thanks.
Skunks what program will open that link?
Thoughts Skunks, or anyone?................
Why would we have PR'd that unless we have a deal? Wouldnt PR'ing that we bid on it - just make Viacom want to out bid us? Why allow them (Viacom)to know that we are bidding on Pridevision at all - until the deal is done?
I just think that PR'ing it - assumming that we dont have a done deal yet - is asking for trouble.
