Post of the month. Ive said it before, this board goes through huge mood swings ping ponging off both sides of the extremes. Want a warm and fuzzy? Look at our chart from Jan of 2013 till now guys. Stay strong.
Do you think it will turn around? You probably follow the oil market closer than I do.
Hang in there King
Sorry I've had a busy week, been unable to check this board lately. Ralph, as much as you hate UAL, it seems on many days where the industry is down (such as today), they beat everyone else out for worst of days. They're down 3% today, keep your head up my friend.
Sir Richard, welcome to the MACSUM club, my friend.
Why pay more than you have to when you know something most shareholders don't, right?
Completely agree
Long and strong Ralph! ....That came out weird
Looking like it'll be a great day for us
Nope, but it does say "Oversold" to me!
Just like I should have sold when AAL hit a high of $10 a share before the merger, right?
I'm with you Turbo. This sure isn't the first time we've seen moves like this, and probably won't be the last. Just remember that with all of the ridiculous price movements we've seen, we still ended up hitting our all time high only a week or so ago.
What do you mean "should have listened"? Was I suppose to sell on the low side? The only people that lose money on a price crash are those who get squeamish.
King, can't respond to your pm as a free user but hang in there man. Remember it's not about the individual victories or losses, but the gains/loss on your P/L at year end my friend.
I feel you King. Just saw the close price. Yikes. Stay strong brother!
Hahaha
Ralph upgrades HAL to a buy?! Get my broker on the phone!
Uh Ralph I believe you forgot to post the MACSUM forecast.
I think this is a great point and something we need to keep in perspective. Every earnings we seem to have fallbacks with our share price followed by a rise in the coming weeks, and every time we respond with frustration. Let's take a step back here guys and look at the big picture... $5 BILLION IN FUEL SAVINGS.
3...2..1 annnd selloff.
Yeah I laughed at that. He skated right by it.
Yeah I couldn't believe that when he said it. A year from now we're going to be sitting fat dumb and happy. Aaaah and here comes the lawsuit questions.
7000 flights cancelled in the last 3 days.
I'm waiting for someone to ask about the maintenance lawsuits haha!
I've been looking at that. Looks like a lot of companies missed earnings. CAT and MSFT were down 7% last time I looked.
I completely agree. I really like how they are approaching the lower fuel prices.
Did they say $24 million shares bought back from the last buyback plan?
Yeah that's what I heard. Pre-market is heading North.
"We'll still operate American as if fuel is $100 a barrel".
Who does he think he's addressing, Shareholders or Union members ?
About the same, though nothing on the ground.
You get much snow King?
Maybe but look at other airline's pre-market. Doesn't seem like they are taking a huge hit.
This music is going to drive me nuts.
That's what I'm battling. A success story like AAL is completely uncharted territory for me. It's hard for me to decide if I should take some profits off the table. If I did, I'd probably end up re-investing the money anyways, so I figure I should at least keep the money in a stock I know very well.
Anyone actually serious about selling out completely if the numbers are strong?
Psh, I'm cracking the Budweiser.
We should should almost have a Facebook group to discuss the earnings as they come haha
Turbo, southern Virginia so nothing huge. An inch or two tomorrow
