My mother has pancreatic cancer and has been taking Cannibidoil oil the past six weeks in pill form which I ordered from a well known marijuana company trading on the OTC (not pumping another company). This cannibidoil oil is actually legal in all 50 states now and it is working wonders for my mother. She has stopped taking all pain and anti-nausea medication and is only taking the oil in pill form twice a day.
Now this CBD oil is the best oil I could find on the market but it is insanely expensive right now. My question is two pronged. I love GWPH's pipeline and have witnessed first hand the wonders of CBD but how can you possible protect a patent on something that can be produced by other companies so generically?
My only answer is that once GWPH has an FDA approved CBD medication that is available in the USA that medical insurance would cover most of the cost of it, and instead of me spending bundles on CBD oil from other companies making "generic" (I guess you could call it generic?) versions of the same thing, I could just get it prescribed by my doctor and pay much less money. So I guess my second question is which migiht sound stupid but will medical insurance cover these CBD medications which to me seems like the only way to protect the patent since everyone is just going to get it prescribed instead of spending thousands of dollars on generics.
Once again I love this companies pipeline but I am weary about how they are going to protect their patents on a naturally occurring plant. Only thing at this time that is holding me up from purchasing shares. Think I will wait until 30$ to purchase them anyway.
