Still there...still open.
You do realize that your old posts are available?
I was in and out of this stock last Nov. and was thinking of taking another nibble. Yet the share structure, debt structure, executive compensation, overhead expenses, and history of losses seem ugly etc. etc. My biggest concern is that it almost appears that even if the TSA fully fulfills the IDIQ they'd still be in the red. So, does anyone have a clue what their projected revenue break-even might be.
Now you have a "security list"?
Now why would they send posters over here to post questions that might inhibit others from buying? And not even smart ones at that.
Somebody is buying...30k buy bid at 95.5. Good question...who buys with zero news and the timeline for the protest prob in Feb?
On a bright note....
Of the 16 cases of protest on the GAO site in the last two weeks, there are 16 denials of the protest. Pain in the butt for sure..but the odds are pretty certain it gets thrown out.
You'd think that a decision on ETD in the scary world we live in these days, would be rushed through. Ridiculous.

Thanks for the info NF. I understand the first order of 21 million is out of the 161 million IDQ (ceiling). Any idea why the one below it, that wasnt' there the other day for 2.1 million shows obligated for the amount though the ceiling is 400k? And if its obligated till 2018, is that maybe a maintenance/parts/extras contract? Thanks for you info.
Wanted to post the old one to another site and found this new one just above. (not positive it's new, but it wasn't there yesterday)

Wondering on the differences in the terminology...
this is the IDQ, which you can find under the ICD heading as opposed to the CONTRACT heading.
The IDV type is listed as IDC (not ICD). Anyone know exactly what all these mean in reference to the IDQ.
Was wandering on the website and was wondering what the exact meanings are. Thanks

I for one, have turned into a bit of a flipper. For whatever reason, this stock makes zero sense in relation to the companies value, as I see it. The thousands of posts on Yahoo and here outright lying and making up ridiculous stories tells me that someone is playing a game with IMSC stock price.
About a year ago, I decided to join them if I couldn't beat them. The large percentage shifts on news/no news really makes it an attractive swing trade. At the same time, I have a core that I don't touch. Nothing wrong with taking a bit off the table on the highs and adding if those that want the stock to fall, succeed in dropping it to ridiculous levels.
We've been saying for years, next year is the year. I think 2015 might actually, finally be that year. As others have said, refinancing is key. Then the protest. Start shipping. Make a big sale to Europe or China. Hire a real PR company. If any/all that happens in early 2015, there will be no need to flip anymore.
Happy New Year to the real longs.
Two of IMSC board members on CNBC in the last week talking about National security. (Bob L today and Howard S the other day) You'd think they could at least sneeze the company name out there! Haaaa chooo IMSC......
Implant Sciences Receives Order from TSA for 1,170 Explosive Trace Detectors QS-B220s to be deployed to multiple U.S. airports
Nick....perhaps you need a new line of work.
Looks like a couple of new assembly jobs open at IMSC. Hopefully they hire a few hundred more for the coming onslaught.
First off...congrads to IMSC and all those long term shareholders who have been here for what seems like a lifetime. The fact that this is at 1.32 really astounds me though. It was 1.40 a few weeks ago (Oct 7) on absolutely no news. Now we get an IDQ which could be worth up to 162 MILLION dollars and its below that!? I don't get it.
I also understand DMRJ was IMSCs savior for all these years, and they want to take profit. What doesn't make sense to me is that they sell at 1.40 or 1.50. If they are doing the selling, they are keeping the price down. I could easily have seen a run to 2 bucks yesterday, but it didn't even get close. All those shares and they wouldn't rather wait for another 20cents..50cents ect? (Did they sell a huge amount on the run to $1.80?)
Anyway, Glenn and co have done an amazing job of getting the company to where they are today. It would be nice if someday, somehow, the share price would notice.
Interesting new job on the IMSC website. SEC Recording Accountant.
One of the special projects mentioned:
Assist with compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations, DCAA audit process and incurred cost submissions
All by ourselves and nice to see the category "radioactive source" with the big N underneath.
Agree...Jf. I've had enough conversations with fellow long term/short term Implant investors to know that a non IDQ CC yesterday was going to make shorts smile and give them an opportunity to shout "the world is crumbling" Most, as opposed to some of the earlier run-ups, took some profit in the last few weeks and are ready for any run down towards a buck. A win/win for those who know and take advantage of the obvious ups and downs of IMSC. Personally, I love that it can happen...any day..any hour.
Of course he knows too Z. Sowing the seeds of doubt where this is none.
Just for kicks I checked out the only other figure (number) that was on the left of the table, AT 550 Smiths Deployment. (page 76) And yes, that is the number of units sold, per the contract, a contract that was signed for over 194 MILLION dollars and that were to be deployed over a five year period, most recently in May 2014.
So for the confused, (Humnow24) 560 is a NUMBER of units. Your welcome.
Double Ditto!!!
I think we're all more concerned with you. There's little hope for you if you don't head right back to the sixth grade and learn how to write a sentence.
I hope then you get not results junk pile.
Here's the other big thing not priced into the approval. Shareholder knowledge. There is probably a core of perhaps 500 of us who actually know what we are waiting for. That 500 will probably be 10 times that when QPL is announced, as more folks read the press releases and understand what happened. Then an order comes by and maybe a hundredfold increase in shareholder interest sends the stock higher as it feeds on itself.
You don't have to be watch the market long to see story stocks move up 1000% on just conjecture and hope, happens in biotech on a weekly basis. And IMSC will be based on a whole lot more than hope and conjecture when they become a key player in the space. So no, not even close to being priced in, in my opinion.
So someone is upset with the company and the way it's handled itself....now? Just happens to be when they are breaking out price wise and next week has a good chance to be company changing for the positive? Reeks of desperation from the same folks who have spent the last two years trying to take this company down.
Some musings on the report put up by Molecule. As others have noted, almost seems tailored for Implant in the long run. Others have noted the necessity of non radioactivity.
Sounds like they are revamping all the cargo standards, which will benefit Implant down the road.
Technical Area 1) Retrofit of ETD systems currently approved for air cargo transport screening, specifically those systems listed in the Qualified or Approved Technology sections of the TSA’s Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL) as of January 2014. The retrofit should expand the library while improving detection capabilities and/or instrument reliability and maintainability.
The necessity of low cost consumables is everywhere in the report. A 220 strength.
Quality assurance (QA) approaches, which provide a method to validate system performance in a cost efficient manner, e.g., executable with minimal training at a non-technical level and at the lowest cost for consumable QA related materials.
And can you say CRADA.
Technical Area 3) Development of a portable ETD system that will advance threat detection capability while reducing the required footprint for ETD systems.
Technical Area 4) Research and development of various advanced trace explosives detection tools and methods, including signature analysis and data analytics and advanced sampling tools and methodology. All of which will foster spiral upgrades and enhance performance subsequent to the next generation desktop and portable ETD systems.
PS....some interesting new jobs on the IMSC posting list.
So let me get this straight. You've been unhappy with the direction of the company for what seems like, years. Yet, a week ago, you post this:
I'm still here, too busy buying at the moment. Had some cash in another stock that I closed earlier this morning and made a bundle. THANK GOD.
Bought 40,000 around .87. Was trying to pick up 77,000.....
I'm trying!
A whole week later and you're back to the soapbox. Now why would someone so disgruntled with the company, continue to buy shares? Makes you wanna go huh? You have had some good critical opinions of IMSC, but if you can't even TRY and be a little upbeat about the last few weeks, then WHY are you BUYING more? You've heard this for YEARS? And yet, you continue to hit the buy button.
You said it...it's beyond baffling.
Buf, you will NEVER be happy with this company. I suggest, as I have MANY times before, that you move onto greener pastures. See, I said that nicely, cause I'm only allowed one post a day because, God forbid, someone say something positive about IMSC.
Qualification, multiple sales in one week adding up to more than the whole Q1, sales to the Olympics, etc. They do little to move the share price because right now, besides you, me and about 70 other folks, NOBODY else knows or cares. THAT is the problem. It can be rectified by someone spending some time SELLING the company story. It's not that hard. Boston bombings, 9/11, Only American company, non-nuke. It's a NO brainer for a good PR person. That is the weakness.
They could have 3 two million dollar weeks in a row and MAYBE the stock would go over a buck..maybe. So, as BM said, tell a great US story...tell a great "Boston company protects our local Boston media in Russia" Just take some time and money to let more that the 70 who read message boards know, and believe me, everything will change in an instant.
Meanwhile, till that happens, till the story gets out, we will be at the whim of the .8932 ers. IMSC is beginning to make some great sales. They are getting the approvals. They are winning the respect of growing list of freight forwarders. They are on the right track. They have some momentum, finally. So, if you feel the need to stay and watch the stock price on an hourly basis, take a month or two and go to Costa Rica and RELAX. Enough with the "thanks a lot Glenn whine" It's beyond getting old.
In my mind, IMSC is doing everything right, hiring wise, sales wise, tech wise, approval wise etc... The one place they have lacked since I've been watching, is in the PR area. They have the best product, in a huge market and almost nobody in the whole wide investing world knows about it.
Now, that can change on a dime, with the RIGHT news, but till then they really should spend some money on getting articles written, TV time etc. THAT is what will really move the needle. Why wait till they get approval and a huge checkpoint sale, to PR the company. Let others in on the story and it will be a more fruitful ride once that news comes.
He was talking FY 14 ending in June of 2014. They had a slow start in Q1 but it has started to add up quickly and with the 3.5 mil order mixed over the next three quarters, the sale to the 19 airports in LA (1mil)? Those two 600k various orders this week and some other smaller orders, it won't be that hard to get those figures if they keep up the pace. A TSA qualification and order would really make those figures pale, but one step at a time. All good, does that make you...happy(ier), sad?
Heading to Implant this a.m. Our group of investors is doing our annual tour of the "new" facility this morning and we'll all be asking some questions to the management team, cking out new products and see what's down the road.
I'll try and get some questions answered if possible, will include.
Timeframe for ckpoint full approval.
HX timeframe.
Where's Russia?
Lackluster large sales in freight pre deadline.
PR co/Website
I'll ck here before we go in, if anyone has a specific question, I'll try and get it asked. I'm off to Wilmington.
Was just ckin the competition. S&M not even invited to the finalist party.

FLIR (Fidox3)

Interesting how large most of these companies are compared to Implant. Two things that are needed, quickly I think, as sales ramp up and IMSC starts to show up on investors radar.
They need a new PR company...or perhaps just a PR company. (Not sure if they do it in house)
They need a website designer to update the website. The website of the others are light years ahead. It doesn't match the technology of the product, which is obviously, cutting edge and can be updated pretty easily and at a nominal cost.
My friends and family all know what they own. They all make their own choices, like grownups. We'll wake up on Monday and still be invested in All American company that is has cutting edge technology that is trying to PREVENT terrorists from killing fellow humans. I'm very proud to be invested in IMSC actually.
You, on the other hand, will wake up on Monday and try and figure out some catty, dishonest way to get people to give up on this company. Your friends and family must be real proud.
I'm gonna take Faxe' advice and put you on ignore. You're now just wasting my time. I look forward to your apology and recanting in the near future. (someone please post it if it ever happens!)
Moving on....
Trust me, he never will. He sat in a meet and greet with the company, had lunch with all the hardworking and extremely kind company leaders and now is posting here all day/night long to convince any uneducated new shareholders that the company is a scam, will never be profitable and the CEO is a thief.
IMSC is like a episode of House Of Lies On HBO!
One of his headlines. Classy eh?
So post, what, 488 Gio? What will it be? So much time on your hands that you can post day and night. You have "I think I'm way smarter than I am" syndrome. Get over yourself.
Still here? We're all still waiting for your explanation....(try not to whine)
Gio...granted the timeline is not what we wanted. But...they are following though on the important stuff. I'm willing to wait. If you're not, don't pretend to be here to save us. Fifth time...move on.
And up to that point, he'll be doing his best to convince anyone who will listen, to sell. Which he doesn't do himself. Strange. He's got us all so confused. What to do...what to do...
Gio..don't remember meeting you, but if you sat at our table with the investment club, then you are def no friend of this company. You were invited to sit with the management of the company and then you say things like this?
Your words,
DMJR and IMSC is living fat and happy off IMSC shareholders.
The shareholders are the customers that Bolduc has to keep happy..
to earn his half a million a year, it is certainly not sales to customers keeping the doors open.
Fat and happy? You think Glenn is happy with this share price? They are a good group of folks and they don't deserve your scorn.
If your purpose was to get the price lower to buy more, nice job. Other than that, I have no idea why you would be here other than to short it. Feel free to explain to all.
Buf when you post my screen name in the heading, I have to respond. So I'll ask you the same. Why do you constantly post negative and destructive messages if you are not here to INVEST in IMSC? That's the better question. I'm a believer and there is much that you state as fact that is, in fact, not. So, sorry to call you out on your ramblings, but if they continue, so will my responses and others I hope as well. I won't be moving on anytime soon. Fair is fair.
Buf...a whole lotta Gibberish. Sell if you're unhappy with the company. Please. If your tone changes when the next big PR hits, or when the stock price increases dramatically, it will be because you wanted the lower price to get in or add and you created the pessimism for the weak of heart/mind to sell. I can't prove it on a message board, but I'm fairly sure you're no saint, sent here to save us from ourselves. Our agenda is to buy into the companies future...what's yours? And yes, you have one.
Buf, you are equating pessimism with company performance. Everybody should be pessimistic of the share price, not the company. They have, as you stated, had the big sales, gotten the approvals, hired for the future, moved HQs to grow, grown the patent list, sold small and large to very diverse groups and areas. They have done alot in the last year. The share price hasn't reflected that.
All your pessimism was there for what? To get others to sell, to give up on the company? What exactly is your purpose? We don't need saving, so don't think for a moment you are helping in your never ending rants about the company and CEO. You stated yourself that one sale could move the needle quickly. If you're not willing to wait, as I said to Gio, feel free to sell, the market opens at 930am.
Buf, after a whole week of being "positive" on IMSC, now it's the end of the world because of a lackluster Q number.
The new HQ is simply to be prepared for expansion. Not complicated and not hugely expensive, it's right next door to the old one. If that 3.5 million dollar order had been on these books it would have been a prettier picture, but exactly the same company.
We are betting our money on the future of the company. They are at the mercy of governments everywhere, and with timelines, so are we. If you don't see all the positives for Implant in the last year, it's only because you choose not to.
Those that have the stomach for it, will hang in there. You, apparently don't. Move on for Gods sake. Take the whining Gio with you on the way out.
Never thought I'd read that from you Buf, but nice to hear. Hope your change in sentiment translates to a change in pps direction!
Agree Shiloh, he's a top notch arrival. Hopefully we'll be THE major player in Brazil over the next few years with the Olympics and World Cup having huge security hurdles. Not that it matters much, but that quote was cut/pasted from the PR.
Just curious on others thoughts. This is the second sentence on todays PR.
"QS-B220 becomes the adopted standard for explosives trace detection equipment at a number of major airports in Latin American country"
The phrase "number of major airports" is what got me thinking about which country we are talking about. I guess it depends on their definition of the word "major", but there just aren't that many countries with more than one major airport, or at least my definition of it. I'm thinking Brazil, maybe Mexico, due to previous sales, as well as maybe Colombia? Would love to think they have their foot in the door in Brazil. Any other guesses?
PS..they need a proofreader to go though the punctuation of the wording of that sentence as well!
Great and obvious point. Look at where he worked and where he's going to be selling. Important on both ends.
