I'll second that flyer on FF ($9.00) - let's see what she's got for tomorrow.
hweb - You going to buy a bucket of those? Thanks for the info - looking at them closely.
researcher (BABA) - I guess better to wait until it breaks out of that downtrend channel before thinking to buy.
BABA - Anyone like this here? I know there's a lot of uncertainty and fear out there, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm thinking about starting a core position here and buying more on any additional weakness.
Anyone adding SGMA ahead of earnings? Looked ripe there in the 7s.
MULN - I almost bought some of this when it was closer to $.50 a couple weeks ago. It has been in a nosedive but had a huge gain the other day. Perhaps I should dip my toes into options a little bit more. Seems like you do pretty well with it overall.
FTCO - Anyone still holding this? I was adding more in the 6.20s a couple weeks ago. It's been moving up nicely today. $.75 net income for 2021 and $40 million cash with no debt. Nice divvy.
Their total cash cost for gold was only $587 in 2021.
Best of luck to you - I already sold half of mine at $27 today and will be holding the rest for what I would expect to be $30 in the next couple of months.
If the stock market was purely based on PE ratios, valuation and logic, we'd all be millionaires.
Hope you took that opportunity to cover. To answer your previous question - I don't really care about JWN's PE and their relation to the valuation on Macy's. The bottom line is that their numbers were great, forward guidance is good and their stock was beaten down big time. Nordstrom has been around for a long time and has done very well. I really don't understand your logic in shorting it after such a good report.
hweb (JWN) - Thanks! This one was beaten down way too much. I was adding all over the place in the low 20s.
You're shorting JWN? LOL...good luck with that.
JWN - Nice earnings. Wish I had added more sub-20 today.
(MINM) - It probably didn't like the part about 'Q4 FY21 saw a material reduction in retail performance. This was driven by in-quarter reductions in retail orders that resulted from holiday orders being pulled in to late Q3 FY21 due to retailer concerns over supply chain and inventory availability issues.'
PCTI - I made my first entry into this one in the 4s today. Has been on the radar.
APT - Anyone still in this? I was surprised to see it in the 4.50s today.
FB - Staring at it right now at 240. Thoughts? Might be worth it. Down 26% at this point is quite a bit.
SPOT also. PYPL took it on the chin earlier.
SGMA - You guys still holding this?
Thanks for the update. I've been building a position in PGOL as I think it provides excellent value at these prices.
Kind of surprising - maybe it levels out here at the end of the day. These reactions are a bit hard to digest.
Haven't seen any buyers yet...
GDLLF - Still own this and I agree that patience is required. The stock i'm most upset about is ARNGF. I could have sold Argonaut when it was over $3 and now it's basically halved.
POSC - sold a little bit more at 1.74. Will be bidding back if it manages to get under $1.
BABA is starting to look really compelling to me. I've been following this one for awhile but with Munger boosting his stake by another 300K, that gives me even more confidence that it will bounce back.
Unfortunately, no broker in the United States. I have a friend in Canada with an account.
KATX came back to the light late yesterday and really took off this morning. I'm currently doing a bit of an experiment (a la larrybaz) with expert market stocks. I'm researching the ones that start filing again and will load up before they get current. Once they get current, there is usually a very strong pop as the US investors are once again allowed to buy.
I'd like to start a blog on this and detail my results. For now, i'm just getting my feet wet a little bit.
zen (POSC) - I still have a sizeable position as well. I probably sold 20-25% so far. Definitely want to see how it plays out. Also sold my IVRO position on the last run.
SGMA - Had this on my radar and just did my first purchase at 9.76 from some POSC proceeds. Next buy at $9.25.
Best of luck all.
SSKILLZ1-
Same exact thing for me.
JWN - yes, I did start adding this today.
I think that report mentions them leasing a CRJ-200 and converting it into a freight configuration. Maybe they are testing the feasibility of moving to cargo.
worthy (ELMS) - Talk to me more about this one.
gilead (HRBR) - Good points. Have you read this writeup on them?
https://www.tackcap.com/s/Tack-Capital-HRBR.pdf
I'm confident that there is a pretty good floor here with some definite upside.
Looking to see them convert some of the CRJ-200 into freighters. They will undoubtedly liquidate some/all of the CRJ-200 fleet and migrate to the newer jets.
I think the relationship with United continues. Liam Mackay was brought on as CFO in early 2021 and he was Director of United Express Commercial Strategy and worked at United for a decade.
Even without the payroll support, they are still showing some solid earnings and are priced at a pretty large discount compared to others.
HRBR - I'm back in after seeing their last quarter. It's too cheap to ignore and currently trades at a sub 1.0x EBITDA.
LCID - I am kicking myself on this one. Was staring at it when it was $24 a couple weeks ago knowing that it was a good risk/reward once production started. High of 54.57 today.
LCID - Anyone have a position here? My friend is in this pretty heavy and also dogecoin. Hmmmmm....
That website looks really jenky.
Right on queue - Does Liz Ann Sonders agree with your assessment?
DREM - Not sure if any of you follow this. Picked up some at .08 awhile back after monitoring the PR's from some of these OTC stocks getting current. It printed .25 just a few moments ago. Crazy.
hweb (SGMA) - we're both in the same boat, my friend. Now it's my job not to watch it on L2 and focus on the next stock :)
