Thanks for the info. I see it is helping the stock price. Market down, VLO is up.
Is there any truth to GILD wanting to buy BMY?
Thanks.
I been following the activities on this board. I see that pretty much all transactions are either purchasing put or call options. I just want to confirm when one is buying a call option, one is bullish on the stock. Am I correct?
Ok. Thanks.
Why is the low oil price not affecting vlo stock price?
Thanks for the info.
Roy,
Thank You for your response. I do appreciate the advice and suggestions. I will be following your trades when posted. I will hopefully learn from your and others that post their trades.
Hopefully, I will have the success that you and others enjoy.
Al
Roy,
Thanks for your detailed response.
You are looking at the chart from the day before and looking to see if the RSI has turned up. Did I get that right or even close. Do you pay for a charting service or use a free one.
How do you select the call strike price and select either weekly or how far you go out?
Do you post your trades as you enter them?
Thanks.
Alvin
May I ask how do you determine when to buy your calls. Thanks.
buy or sell?
I don't buy options. That's why I was asking about how you select what to buy. I only trade options. I don't know how to pick entry and exit points on stocks. I usually sell naked puts. I recently sold a naked call and it backfire on me. I went out and bought the stock this morning and made it a covered call. I will still have a loss, but it's not much. Now I am hoping that strike price will hold. 4 day is a long time.
You are making money on this 114 WC, bid now 1.65. How do you pick your strike price? I find it hard to decide on a SP and expiration date. Do you buy options often?
What does WC and WP mean? Thanks.
Basically no one really know the purpose of the meeting. How do you or anyone else see this affecting TWTR share price?
I saw that too on Schwab. What does that mean, they ware going to vote on a candidate for CEO, make an announcement on that date, or something else all together? Are they also searching for a CMO?
We are talking about bto call 70 @ 7.80 or 75 @ 5.35 for exp 1/20/17. Any price increase from its current price of 71.17 would generate a profit. How much profit are you looking for before you would sell to close.
The problem is they look at revenue. If the market think they would miss revenue, they would take the stock price down. People tend to drive less in the winter, thus, lowering their revenue. I am wondering if the CEO at the last earning conference rein in revenue expectations.
It is down again, the whole market is up.
Your kind words help me tolerate the situation better.
Thanks for your insight.
Probably none Oil rig company v refiners.
Who is buying TWTR?
Transocean is looking to end dividend. How will this affect VLO?
I don't havre a good understanding of buying a call option.
You think rumor can get this up to $40. That is a $15 move. That's good for TWTR.
Another day, another decline of $2. Hard to take.
So you are expecting an offer of greater than $40?
Disappointing!!
I see there was a downgrade for VLO is that correct. Is that why it is red on a greed day.
It's a long wait, but CVX is my long term hold. I hold it for the dividends. That is my greatest concern. Any reduction in dividends would take that share price down further. It's nice to hear that at least it is safe for a while.
Thanks. Glad to see the $100 price target. It is still hard to watch it go down day after day. Hope this stop soon.
Thanks. Hopefully it will rebound a bit tonight. Indexes are green.
A plunge like this is definitely a good buying opportunity. Good luck with your purchase.
With the futures down 153, that sounds mighty good.
We will know when they open. I think it's 6:30 pm pacific time.
Do you know something we don't know, China is fine, and Fed will not raise rate.
I watched it go down over $30. It hurts. I am just worried that dividends might not be safe. If they cut dividends, I can see lots of downside. In the meantime, I am just selling covered calls for some extra income. It is not much, because the premium is low. You got to think that the bottom is in. I mean hope.
Thanks. Really appreciated.
