One of the companies that Calypso Wireless stated it had a field trial installation agreement with in 2003 was Enitel. Enitel uses the 1900 MHz frequency, so we now have information showing that Calypso Wireless believes its phone works in all four GSM frequency bands. So, for the C1250i phone to work as Calypso Wireless suggests it must be at least a quad-band phone (such phones are quite rare). I have not seen any information on the phone that states whether it is dual-band, tri-band, or quad-band. Does anyone know? If it's anything less than quad-band, then Calypso Wireless has no clue.

Calypso Wireless has been misleading the investing public for years, providing what seem to be false and misleading announcements, announcing contracts that have not been fulfilled, announcing field trial installation agreements for years that can not be verified and have not led to any revenue, and announcing that they are attending certain conventions and trade shows only to find out that their attendance can not be verified or that they produced absolutely no news by being there. What is Calypso Wireless about exactly? It doesn't appear to be honesty and it doesn't appear to be revenues for their business according to their track record of statements. Take a look below for yourself!
Alleged Contracts and Field Trials
(neither of these have been fulfilled)
China Telecom ($500 million contract with product to be delivered 4th quarter, 2003)
Estesa, a Latin America internet service provider (network components, video phones, and WLAN access points to be delivered 4th quarter, 2003)
Field Trial Agreements
(none of these have been verified and no revenue has been recorded to date) What happened at these field trials? Were they successful or not? Why hasn't Calypso Wireless provided any further information on these? How could they be conducting field trials when they just announced in 2005 that prototypes were available?

CGE Distributors (revenue to begin in fourth quarter, 2004…announced 2nd quarter, 2004)
Franc Telecom, LTD. is to distribute video conferencing mobile telephones. Calypso expects to begin realizing significant revenue from this by the fourth quarter, 2005 (announced 2nd quarter, 2005)
Announcements
(none of these can be verified, no revenue has been produced, and some of these might be considered down right false and misleading statements)

The board is quiet! Is everybody on spring break?
There's no indication that it is. The Calypso Wireless alleged phone is a C1250i model.
Come back soon, LG.
http://www.thetravelinsider.info/roadwarriorcontent/quadbandphones.htm
Excellent resource to learn about dual-band, tri-band, quad-band, etc. phones as I was discussing earlier. Which is Calypso's? This is extremely important especially since Calypso proposes that its phone works in various countries. Notice in the article that the United Kingdom, for example, uses two totally different GSM frequencies than does Ecuador...this means that the Calypso Wireless phone MUST be at least tri-band to work as they suggest.
We need to find out if their phone is "tri-band" or not. We also need to find out why this particular aspect has not been pointed out before...this is extremely important to know whether this model phone will work in the various countries that Calypso allegedly has these deals in.
Well, I hope so.
Right! HAHA!
I still say that Asnap was/is George Schilling, but he got banned a long time ago. LOL
Thank you, Billcoln. I'm glad I at least helped one person on this board see the truth. That's the only reason I'm here.
Ok, but, it's important not to confuse the term "dual-mode" which refers to the fact that a phone will work on both WLAN's and LAN's which is what Calypso is referring to, with the "dual-mode" when referring to number of frequency bands a phone will pick up. This term is very confusing in cellular jargon because the term was used to refer to the number of bands a phone would pick up at first when we switched over from analog to digital signals mostly in the 1990's. Most recently, the term has been known to refer to whether a phone works on both wide area cellular networks and short area Wi-Fi-type networks.
So, when Calypso Wireless advertises it's phone as being "dual-mode" that is ok in that sense of the word. However, if the phone is only dual mode when referring to how many different frequency bands it will pick up then they are in real trouble. To support what they are saying, their phone must at least be "tri-mode" or "tri-band" or greater.
I can't believe I have not thought about this frequency thing before! I could shoot myself! With Calypso Wireless stating they have all these deals all over the world, knowing whether their phone is tri-mode or not is a very KEY thing. I find it very interesting that this information is not listed anywhere to my knowledge. Again, if this phone is not at least tri-mode or greater then it CAN NOT work in places like the United Kingdom AND Ecuador. I'm not sure if everyone will understand this, but, for example, here in the United States most phones are dual-mode because we pretty much only have two cellular frequencies. If you travel to certain international locations that have different GSM frequencies than what your phone is equipped to handle then your phone will not work in those locations, even though they may use GSM. So, to travel to some areas, you must have a tri-mode phone (meaning your phone will handle the two U.S. frequencies and the other third frequency in the area you are travelling to.) Tri-mode or higher phones are somewhat rare here. Most people would not even know what I was talking about unless they do a lot of international travelling. We need to find this out asap! If Calypso Wireless states the phone is dual mode or less or they don't know what this means then they REALLY are full of it!
Like I say, I just find it very interesting that I have not seen any specification on whether their phone is tri-mode or quad-mode or whatever because this would be a big issue for someone such as Calypso attempting to have deals in areas with different GSM frequencies!!
Does anyone know what frequency band the Calypso Wireless phone uses or if the phone is dual-band or tri-band (also known as dual mode or tri-mode)? I don't recall any of the information mentioning this particular very important fact.
A phone that works in Ecuador may not necessarily work everywhere else due to the different GSM frequencies used in different parts of the world.
For example, for a phone to work in both Ecuador AND the United Kingdom it must be a tri-band phone because Ecuador uses the 850 frequency and the UK uses two other totally different frequencies. Has this been mentioned anywhere because this is EXTREMELY important? I have worked in cellular operations before dealing with international roaming and making sure the customer had a phone with frequency capabilities when traveling internationally was one of the most important things we looked at.
Unless the C1250i is at least tri-band (also known as tri-mode), it won't work in both Ecuador and the United Kingdom.
Centconet, the other company that has placed a purchase order allegedly with Calypso Wireless has a website that is unfinished. There is very little information there on the website about their company and what they do. They are located apparently in Ecuador...I'm not sure why Calypso Wireless is able to do so much alleged business there or why they would want to. I just know that they have announced other "deals" in Ecuador in the past and nothing has come to fruition so why would this one? I found this interesting note about Ecuador when I looked it up:
[Ecuador is a ...] significant transit country for cocaine originating in Colombia and Peru; importer of precursor chemicals used in production of illicit narcotics; attractive location for cash-placement by drug traffickers laundering money because of dollarization and weak anti-money-laundering regime, especially vulnerable along the border with Colombia; increased activity on the northern frontier by trafficking groups and Colombian insurgents.
Also, according to the website, http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_ec.shtml,
the only GSM operators in Ecuador are Conecel and Otecel. So, Centconet, according to this information is not even a cellular operator in Ecuador so why would they purchase so many Calypso Wireless phones?
Inversiones CCS S.A., another company that allegedly has placed a purchase order for Calypso Wireless phones is not even in the telecom business! It is a marketing firm! Why would they be interested in buying millions of dollars of Calypso Wireless phones when they have no connection to the telecom business? Makes no sense.
Can anyone help me find any information about Servinova? This is one of the companies that supposedly has given Calypso Wireless a purchase order. I can not find out ANY information on this company. I can't even verify that it is a Cisco registered partner because I don't even know what country the company is in. Can anyone help with this?
A Milton Campuzano has been mentioned as being the president of Servinova, but a web search for him related to Servinova results in NOTHING, except of course for the Calypso Wireless story over and over and over again. It's as though Servinova does not exist...very similar to other so called companies that Calypso has mentioned doing business with in the past. Is Calypso making these people up?
All web links to Servinova results in no information about this company...surely, if they are going to order a few million dollars worth of Calypso phones, they must have SOME info on the web!

Robert Leon and Ricardo Alvarez were also two people with very respectable backgrounds who have left the company. One of these, Robert Leon, was co-founder of Calypso Wireless and is allegedly suing them now. The other co-founder was allegedly extradited to Costa Rica to answer charges of fraud. However, according to rumors, he is back running things behind the scenes with his pal, David Davila who is now president again.
People DO join organizations unaware of what the organization is about.

Translated, it states:
"Investments CCS INC. is born as a business dedicated to study, to evaluate and to know the market to be able to do reality projects in the different industries that present niches of business or new and innovative opportunities. Likewise we are a platform of business in Chile for national or foreign businesses that require International Representation in South America."

This doesn't sound like a company that would be interested in placing a purchase order for cellular phones to me!

I do appreciate the information, though. Sorry if I sounded like I was batting you down. It is interesting in a way...
Well, I appreciate the information, but in my opinion, this doesn't really matter. I could care less who hosts their website. I'm sure a lot of businesses don't maintain their own webserver. I just don't see the significance.

It might be significant if they were in some kind of web-related business, conducting business on the web, etc...
bbaazzuurraahh,
I'm not sure that I understand why this is very important. Can you explain?
It's not clear what that means, but I consider those companies to be my technology partners too because I use their products.

LOL!!!
Robert Leon rocked, too, right out the door. LOL!
Did they show up?
Did they show up?
This time three years ago, Calypso Wireless had announced it had signed a $500 million contract to deliver mobile phones and network systems to China Telecom. They made several public statements stating they expected to begin shipping the product to fulfill this contract in the fourth quarter of 2003. After 2003, nothing more was ever said by Calypso Wireless about this huge contract, so I decided to email George Schilling to inquire about it, since he WAS the public relations person for Calypso Wireless at the time. I sent the following email:
Many investors are wanting / needing some information concerning your China Telecom deal that was announced early in 2003. I would like any information you can share about this deal. What are the exact terms of the deal? Is it guaranteed revenue for Calypso Wireless or does the deal hinge on certain terms? When will revenues be generated from the deal?
I would also like some information on the prototypes that were to be ready this month. How is the progress going on those? When do you expect those to be available for field trials?
I would also like some information regarding Calypso's financial situation. You announced in the last filing that you need an additional $5 million in order to proceed. What progress has been made in obtaining the additional financing? Also, if you are not able to obtain the additional financing, does that not enable you to continue with the China Telecom deal?
I would appreciate any information you can supply to these questions. Many of these questions are being asked by many investors. I can post the information you provide so that many investors can see the reply. I believe one reason for the recent decline in your stock price is due to lack of news on these items so it would be to your benefit, I believe to respond to these questions in as much detail as you can provide. Thank you for your time.
Here are excerpts from George Schilling’s response:
Everyone knows the details of the China deal. Check the PR’s and 10K. What kind of updates do you expect? We are contracted to do a field trial when we have the prototypes available. There is no expiration date. There has been NO change. If there was any re-negotiation, it would obviously occur after the field trial. What would the point be to “change” or “update” the deal at this point? Do you really expect a PR every few weeks that says: Hey, China Deal OK!!! You ask, is it guaranteed revenue? It is guaranteed by contract that we will commence with a field trial. Revenue is generated from a successful field trial…
The prototypes are still in production. This is why we opened the Ohio R&D facility.
Calypso is currently fully funded. Please send me the page number and paragraph in the 10K that says we need an additional $5MM in order to proceed. It sounds to me like you read the message boards instead of the facts.
Also, please be advised, I will not be responding to questions that can easily be found on our web-site or the SEC’s web-site. Also, I will not respond to rumors spread on the message boards by bashers, etc. This takes away from my valuable time that is better spent being productive on this business.
George J Schilling
Here you have George stating that the prototypes were still in production many months after they were supposedly, according to them, commencing with delivering product to fulfill the $500 million contract. THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE PROTOTYPES PRODUCED! HELLO!!! George also did not even know that they had stated in their own 10-K that they needed an additional $5 million in order to proceed. This information WAS obtained from their SEC 10-K, and NOT from a message board as George thought. George’s response was very unprofessional, it produced a couple of big red flags for me, and the fact that he did not feel as though he needed to keep investors updated on a HUGE $500 million contract let me know right then the type of people we were dealing with. I found it quite interesting.
Here is the new and revised Calypso Wireless Rhetoric Worksheet. Please take a moment to browse through what Calypso Wireless has stated, and please let us know how you think they've done on making these things come to pass.

That's one of the reasons, among many, why there has not been a good re-entry point...because it's a scam. That's the main reason why I have never re-entered.
I would like to say that one would be unwise if a single decision was made about something and then there was never any reevaluation of the situation based on new information...so far, though, nothing has changed regarding Calypso Wireless's stock, and I don't expect it to. I expect it to go to zero, and it seems to be well on it's way.
No, I paid 1.60 and sold at 3.20.
"The difference between you and me is that I am willing to consider I might be wrong..."
I'm always willing to consider that I might be wrong when I'm wrong, but the evidence of wrongdoing, corruption, greed, and incompetence here is so clear it could not possibly be more compelling.
For anyone not to see it I must conclude that they just are inexperienced or they have not done their homework. Which camp do you belong in?
LOL...I don't care if I'm ignored by you or anyone else. I'm on here to spread the word about Calypso Wireless to those who are wise enough to listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision. There is not much arguing left to do, though, because at .27, we are almost down to zero.
Wanknomore, have you heard of "informed decision", or "critical thinking"? So, at what price did you buy into this stock? I would have sold you my shares when I sold them at $3.20. Ever since selling at 3.20 I've been looking for an appropriate re-entry point, but I've yet to see what that point is. I'm quite doubtful that there is ever going to be an appropriate re-entry point for this stock. It's just hard for me to hand over money to alleged fraudsters.
Well I'm surprised that someone of such high caliber has been sucked in by this scam. It was nice reading your bio.
plaintiff,
I'm discovering a cure for cancer...care to send a check my way?
