Have you seen the recent p/c ratio (intra-day volume) on the CBOE?
Is that a misprint???

The difference now is that they won't even fund our roads and bridges let alone what gets left behind. Just wait until
summer
Brings back memories. Watching folks torching there own neighborhoods.
Look at where gold and Treasuries were in the 1980's.

I've always considered the ACA to be a gift to the insurance industry.
Hopefully, at least some of the youngsters are as smart as Hansel and Gretel.

HH, of that 93 million how many are 62 and older, drawing pensions, spending 401K/IRA money? Not to mention the dead who still get Social Security. There are something like 10K people who are over 106 years old according to Social Security.
According to the BLS, the aging of the baby boom generation is a key factor affecting the labor force participation rate:
“The baby boomers’ exit from the prime-aged workforce and their movement into older age groups will lower the overall labor force participation rate, leading to a slowdown in the growth of the labor force,” explains the BLS.
Is that indicator reliable for both tops and bottoms or just bottoms?
What is the FLA guy saying?
Sure hope the GOP can find an electable candidate!
Enough is enough!
Bought to sell puts, cover shorts, was given money by casa or is just stupid. Just because you are a CEO doesn't mean you are smart. Just look at the folks who bought Bloom Lake!
Yep, gold and oil bottomed today also.
Casa bought in @ $25, CEO @ $6.50 Dew Delligece, DD @ $100?
I'm thinking of buying 10K shares for a trade.
Take a look at MCP to see where CLF is headed. Patriot Coal was the canary in the coal mine.
Trend 1, is 27% abnormal? Do you have any long term figures? Do you feel the current "trend" for the SPY is down? Some seem to think we have or are topping. TIA!
Work force reduction. Note date of post.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=92565583
CLF had a major work force reduction a year or so ago. Like 30% of salaried employees. Most likely many hourly employees and good old attrition. Hey they closed Bloom Lake.
With regards to CEO buying, it's possible he has sold puts. Casablanca might even be hedging with puts or shorts.
Take a look at where the old "Clevland Cliffs" was trading ten years ago. Isn't CLF reverting back to their past as a Great Lakes ore shipper? The reduced need for steel in the oil patch can't be helping.

nowwhat. Are you sure that's not a double top on the Nasdaq? Remember your famous call on the SPX's double top? You posted it more than once, LOL!
I think he meant UPRO. Verify this with the price quoted.
This is what I'm reading from Tony:
LONG TERM: bull market
We continue to label this market as a Cycle [1] five Primary wave bull market. Primary waves I and II completed in 2011, and Primary wave III appears to be still underway. Primary I divided into five Major waves with a subdividing Major 1, and simple Major waves 3 and 5. Primary III appears to be following an alternate path. Thus far it has a simple Major wave 1, and a very extended/subdividing Major wave 3. Should our count be correct: Major wave 3 completed in early-December, Major wave 4 may have just completed in early-February, and a potential subdividing Major wave 5 has just begun.
Quite true, it's just a number. Although, Hummmmm???
According to Yahoo Finance CLF has a book value of -$4.57 per share?

I think you are misreading Tony. You might be mistaking 4 & 5 for IV & V.
Actually the equipment manufacturers provide the financing. They sell knowing that the machinery will be traded in a year or two. They then sell the trade-ins to the secondary market which is quite often latin America or over seas.
Oil is one thing but pipelines and refiners can benifit differently. Not to mention buy out and consolidation within the oilers. Seriously $2 gas once the glut is cleared???
Thanks, I've been trading DIG & DUG for a month or so, with an eye on the majors and XES. Today DUG & DIG closed close to even as XES was up while the overall market tanked. DIG closed down while XES was up. Divergence???
Is the trend for XES changing? Up on a day like today?
Do the Europeans have the same flexibility to use their QE money to buy equities as the USA banking system? Somehow it could be different???
I heard Williams also. He was trying to distort the facts. Typical of the media.
Gleno, they said it costs $50 plus for "NEW fracking wells". Typical misinformation. I think you would find that existing production costs in the USA are similar to the Russians.
Wasn't the FLA guru already long from late December. (Leveraged long?) Has he said anything regarding oil?
Just to clarify things. What do you expect the unexpected to be? I've noticed that many of the oil companies have been holding up much more than the price of crude. Also, it was mentioned on Bloomberg Radio that alot of fresh money has been pouring into oil company stocks and ETF's. Is this smart money or distribution? When I see gas selling for $1.70 I get nervous.
I'm holding DUG (for now).
Congrats! Guess I was wrong. Your wife must be a very wonderful person!
Not to but in. I would guess that you don't have a wife or children. Therefore you can live in ways that are not available to a family man.
Snoot. Could you please update that chart to include todays action. It almost looks like a buy? Oil sector stocks held there own today. TIA!
Have you seen this?

Would (in your opinion) TZA be a better play over SPXS? TIA!
Interesting as to how that also correlates to Tony's weekend update.
Trend. Of the 3 major waves(A,B&C) in IV are they all down waves or is B up and C down? Thanks for the help as I've been following Tony and learning as I go.
From Tony Caldaro.

Bought some DUST today. Check out the GLD chart (although the gaps can be misleading as gold trades all day).
