From what I've seen on a lot of Twitter feeds along with some of the discussion on ESPN, there's also a wave of sympathy swelling up for Tiger.
Tiger knows that he still doesn't have to press on the front 9. It can still be won on the last 9 holes. His course knowledge at Augusta is second to none in the field except maybe Phil.
It was fun to watch the buzz around this stock start to catch fire on Friday with the small move up on over 6.5 million shares traded. I think volume was forecasting the weekend & Monday story.
If Tiger wins, Fuse shareholders win; however, Fuse is far less dependent on Tiger than they were 12 months ago. At one point in time, he was all they had going for them. Bigger and better times are here...a win by Tiger is just gravy.
It has to be a Masters thing. Early release in the Augusta market.
Why for your sake?
The media and the public want him to win. He is the epicenter of golf. That's just the way it is!
Ok. Thought the video was from SC.
I'll bet that it's hitting the stores in Georgia too. I also would bet that Walgreens is picking up some of the marketing expense.
Maybe David Duval was the television viewer who called in? He's got nothing better to do.
Nothing that I'm aware of which needs to be buried, but find it puzzling that our product is in Walgreens without any word from our management. I guess a big Monday splash could be the right approach.
Do companies ever do PR's on the weekend?
Ok, after watching the entire sequence and how the rules committee even came to the conclusion to penalize Tiger 2 strokes, I'm not even convinced that he should have been penalized at all. Close proximity = two yards back to me. The public will side with Tiger on this one. Maybe the viewer call in wanted him to drop his ball in the divot? Seriously!
Nice! Shame on us for not making that connection first!
Hey, that could mean that Walgreens is picking up the tab on the marketing. Could it be possible that they are paying for the packaging and displays? We shall soon see.
Is this some sort of limited release to certain Walgreens stores? The fact that it's in a store or stores and for sale is interesting. I would have expected a PR beforehand.
The rules say 2 stroke penalty. What are you talking about? New rule, but a rule all the same.
Nice tight shot of the Fuse bag on the 12th.
Where was this picture taken?
TIGER!!!
Tuff was on CNBC today?
I understand what you're saying, but he's way more mainstream than edgy.
Well thought out post. I agree that DJ is a very busy man, but after considering the interview with Cramer (the format, the host of the show) I'm not shocked that he didn't refer to Fuse outright. The fact that Walgreens was highlighted as one of the stocks that he loves right now certainly lines up with the "speculation" that they will be our new retail outlet. I'm sure that DJ has a lot to do with that.
Unit of sale... how the product is packaged for sale.
Don't be surprised if we get word that Fuse is releasing product to their new retail outlet in a very unique way. I hope DJ has a lot to say.
Volume is bouncing back which is a good sign. Once people beyond this board hear about what's taking place we may see a 10 million day.
Our man DJ gets things done! He's opening doors that aren't even available to other companies the size of Fuse.
Nice job Fuse! These guys are starting to hit on all cylinders. How cool would it be if DJ broke the news on Mad Money tonight!!
Yeah, I was referring to drops of course. I hoping for a bigger display with 24-36 units.
400,000 potential investors...not the usual viewership.
Maybe 36 units for an initial stocking per store?
Any idea what the display will look like? You have to believe that Tiger will be very visible. I checked in with the Golf Galaxy in Vegas yesterday. They had just received their Fuse drops. They've sold a couple and the guy who helped me was very aware of and knowledgable about the product. I was impressed.
So beyond Walgreens what's on the the Fuse distribution radar screen?
Maybe Chief works for Walgreens?
Nice. I'm envisioning a much larger display packed with more product. Four sold in two plus days at that location. Maybe upsizing the display with one or more of our high profile athletes spotlighted would attract eyes and buyers?
So you say. What attracted you to Fuse? Apparently, it wasn't Tuff. Products maybe?
You're really into defamation.
I hate even bring it up because I think what's about to take place with Fuse is going to change everything going forward, but I said months if not over a year ago that I believe Tuff will position the company to be bought out.
That could change...maybe even tomorrow?
It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a PR in the next day or two taking full advantage of Tiger, the Masters, and the drops products. DJ is far more creative than anyone here with his marketing ideas, let's see what he comes up with.
