Agreed, but if the focus has moved and the dredges are not working for sney or have been hired out on jv then as I see it untill they process the black sands with the proposed pilot plant which is not in SL yet then we wont see gold for some time. You could look at old AMS video of pit mining and see some gold in bottom of wash pan if that will help.
I like the idea that sney is still going forward in other directions untill said pilot plant is in SL. Negeotiations take time and they have completed some of the hurdles they had to overcome.
Life aint easy for a boy named SNEY.
IMHO if things dont move along in the NEAR future then sney will miss the boat.
You know that time is money and the longer sney take the more money they will have to pay in more ways than one.
Dredgemaster
Thanks for that and but I dont think people here will understand the significance.
Sney must dredge and mine SAND to get to the minerals.
Where I see revenue and site clearance they see irrelevance.
The only thing that is not processed on a pig is the squeel. Thats efficiency.
Hope Sney can be half as efficient.
Thanks again for DD on business in SNEYLAND. I will be there soooooon.
Dredgemaster
Nice picture of Aberdeen SL but I was talking about Aberdeen Scotland, SL Oil.
Dredgemaster
Great DD and thanks for shareing, Diamonds, Gold, I like the aproach too.
You notice the names mentioned?
Sney seem to be going along similar lines but at a slower pace. Perhaps thier advisors will speed things up.
Dredgemaster
Hi jim, great to hear from you.
Thought that an insight of how they do business in SL and that one mans muck is another mans money might be of interest.
The best news that I cold hear would be that they have buyers for, top soil, sand, gravel, gold, black sands concentrates, in that order as it would show a method of opps from the top down, lol, lol.
That they will have the licences is aa forgone conclusion as there is no reason for them not to be granted.
Keep that black stuff gushing and have a rag in your pocket.
Dredgemaster.
ps, a couple of my SL friends are on a course at Aberdeen and you will know what that means.
Thanks JYD, basic DD and easily found. AMS SL ltd still exists and is owned by sney.
RHETORICAL, questions, seem to be a focus on the board lately.

Think it would only be good DD and prudent to have talked to, Dale, Bryan, Tayyib, Steve, Edwin and any one else in sney management. That is if you are a serious investor.
IMHO.
Dredgemaster
No dis taken, what I was trying to point out that a good method of opperation and work on terracing makes revenue from the begining. 1. Remove the top soil and sell. 2. Remove overburden sand and sell. Thus you are clearing the site at same time.
May be irelavant to some, but others would see that sney was working to a mining method.
We have a saying that, Look after the pennies and the £ will come.
Even the method employed in dredging seemed hap hazard however they peoduced results as stated in previous PRs so just think if they were more efficient.
I think that the new team is working towards that NOW and so yes it is work in progress.
If as management state all docs have been submitted and fees will be paid then the future could be so bright some people may need sunglasses.
GLTU
Dredgemaster
Agreed, work in progress, and as mining and exp companies go it is still young.
I have a deal of respect for Risk and your good self as you both tell it how you see it and perhaps have different ways of dealing with your investments.
Only time will tell if new management and retained advisors will take sney forward.
At this time I see too much waste in time and money, and when time IS money in the mining industry then they are not doing too well at this time.
The quick buck person does not need to trust you to make money from you.
The long term investor has to have a degree of trust and wants to see steady progress be kept up to date and feel the risk will be justified by the reward.
The one thing I dont see is loyalty and rightly so as it will impair judgements.
Sney have some work to do to atract finance to take this forward but they are on the right road again and I would expect to see some advancement in the next month.
GLTU clegg and alwas good to read your posts.
Dredgemaster
The fact that enviran and I have a conversation on an open board and share thoughts and ideas and DD on the possible long term way forward seems to be irrelevant to some and boreing to others. That sney could sell firstly the topsoil that must be removed for terracing, and then sell the sand, and use this money to buy fuel to opperate is also irrelevant.
Because some person here did not have the time or inclination to check the thread then they come to the wrong conclusions and tarnish the rep of a poster whose DD has always been exceptional. It realy makes me wonder what is going on.
So the answer is simple. READ THE POSTS OR DONT READ THE POSTS. IT MAY BE IRRELAVANT TO SOME AND OTHERS MAY GET AN INSIGHT INTO THE MINING BUSINESS ON THE GROUND. WHO IS TO SAY WHAT IS PERTENANT AND WHAT IS IRRELEVANT.
No respect for people who cant say sorry I was wrong.
Dredgemaster
Hi Risk, what you are seeing is Sierraleonians, working, shoveling sand for 12 hours a day for about $5 a day. A good insight into how much work they can do on mining sites.
Dredgemaster
Yes I do love the picture.
I thank Envirum for takeing the trouble to show investors that when I posted that a byproduct of mining ie, SAND does have a value he took the time to do his own DD and confirm this. How much development do you think will be going on around Magburaka now that the railway will be comeing? IMHO there will be a lot. The ability to remove overburden from a mining site and make money from it is no small thing.
Dredgemaster
You have not read the post that this was a reply to.
I, in a previous post stated that even the overburden sand had a value due to the beaches being shut down on the peninsula and that SL is in a Development Stage.
Environ was only confirming this and showing that sand from beaches is used for building.
Sea Sand is obviously full of Salt and is stored outside by the buyer through the rainy season to wash off the salt prior to use.
Environ states that they have a wash plant to wash SALT from the SAND.
Environs DD is second to none and should be taken seriously.
You usualy are acurate in what you know but you seem to have assumed or distorted what Environ was saying and posting. Check the thread and do the right thing.

You are welcome.
Its down to sney management now to make it happen.
If they can find the solutions to a few small dramas and not turn them into crisis then they realy will be in business.
GLYU
Dredgemaster
I picked your post up when checking replies.
The new site sney is looking at according to my DD is a fair distaance from Pampana and on another river with good terracing in a proven diamond area and also has gold, it also has, close to it , a large TAILINGS area which in my opinon will make black sands recovery easy and cheap to recover.
The dredges they already have can recover diamonds and if they use one for diamonds and one for gold and keep the rest on Pampana together with the terracing, buying, then they are now begining to look like a company with diverse mining opps and have spread the risk but improved the odds of larger discovery and recovery.
Together with the aluvial support mining they truly have turned into what I call a SPIDER COMPANY. If one leg gets damaged then they have another seven to prop it up.
Perhaps Mr Hale is begining to understand business in SL or it could be he is takeing advice from his SL advisors.
Dredgemaster
IMHO, within the six weeks the MoM will have insisted that the government surveyer rechecked the bounderies and confirmed the info submitted. A way of getting work and revenue for them. All agreements with chief and land users will have to be re signed and confirmed, all documents and titles will have been re submitted to laywers and checked by land registery. Throw in the rainy season.
Could not do this in six weeks in UK never mind in SL.
SL is a country where six people do the same job as one person in the west. This is to help with employment. But it means everything takes longer as there are so many departments.
Its called, AFRICA TIME.
Dredgemaster
Hi, jojo, firstly let me blow my own trumpet and say that those statements in my previous posts have now been confirmed in PR. Hope you are checking the DIAMOND market.
This may be the most important PR that sney have put out so far in that it actualy tallies with my own DD also that they are in a relationship with people who can make things happen in SL.
It looks like exciting times ahead and if sney felt that I could be of assistance then I am sure they would do what they feel is best for the company.
I would like to hear that the program for ramping up exploration and recovery is in full swing and glad to hear they are looking for people to make it happen.
They will have the responsibility of controling multi sites which are mining for different materials and the method and opperation of such a task will be paramount to costs.

Sierra Leone is the most religeous tollerant country in the world. A civil war has a way of makeing religeon take a back seat.
Christians and Muslims both enjoy and respect each others holidays.
The Name of the person or the colour of thier skin does not dictate thier religeon.
I know many people with Islamic names who are christians and vice versa.
The Main religeon in SL is the local and tribal religeon, followed by Islam and christianity comeing last.
Haveing killed a pig one day in SL and cooked it I offered some to a Prominent Chief expecting him to say no as he was a muslim. His answer was yes please and when I said you are a muslim his answer was "I AM A MUSLIM FOR MY GOD, NOT FOR MY BELLY"
I may add that the said chief stayed in SL all through the war looking after his people and had experienced the effects of starvation along with his people.
Sneys people in SL will not be on holiday whether Muslim or Christian.
Dredgemaster
If you think I misled you then it was not my intention.
It is holiday time in SL, the High Court is on Holiday as are the schools until September.
Ministers are still working, however getting all the relavant documents signed and passed by each department so that it can be signed off by the Minister may not be straightforward as it only takes one part of the chain to hold things up. SIerraleonians take advantage of tjis time to visit abroad and also get medical attention in western countries and It has been confirmed to me that a prominent person known to Sney is in the UK at this time for medical attention. It seems that a meeting is planed in the next couple of weeks before his return.
I look forward to a PR, perhaps giving information on said meeting. Perhaps in the meantime you would like to see how the Diamond Market is doing.
Dredgemaster
Just like a lady of the nights underware, lol, lol.
I would expect that when certain prominent people get back to SL so thier children can start the school term then things will move forward. The public exams are finished and wont be long now.
I have heard a few rumors but am trying to confirm before I inform the board.
GLTA
Dredgemaster
There is not a Board per say at the MoM. The minister has to sign off all documents.
The permanant secretary is probably the most important advisor to the minister. You also have the deputy minister. The lobbying procedure can take some time and often you may have to have meetings with all of the above. This is Africa, Sierra Leone. It helps if you have all your paperwork in order and a friend who is married to the clerk, lol, lol, lol.
Dredgemaster
Agreed, SL is a third world country on catch up. Common sense is more useful than environmental ranting. The Chinese think a process plant in SL would be useful and cost effective. They are buying up ALL minerals as they can ship them with the Iron Ore.
Costs of processing plant versus cost of shipping may even see SL with a Smelting Plant in SL in the not too distant future.
BTW, several chiefs are not happy with the maner in which the Chinese seem to be takeing over the countries minerals, I feel it is the cost they have to pay for a 6 billion dollar railway.
With the russians now takeing over the fishing in SL and the Japanese geting more involved I feel the western countries are paying the price of being too cautious.
Sney needs to up its game and fast.
Dredgemaster
You are correct, with Magburaka due to become the centrepoint of the railroad and Sney with the materials close at hand and cost of transport of materials then the bypriduct of mining, ie the overburden of terracing consisting of gravel and sand that already has been washed becomes valuable.
It also helps in mining if you have somewhere to get rid of the overburden as it can hinder ops.
The primary gold recovery must be put first but nothing wrong with a market for your normal throwback.
Dredgemaster
OK, well tell me how much a TRIP, of Sand, Stone, or Dirt (top soil) costs in SL and then tell me there is No Money in mining byproducts. The railway is primarily built to haul Dirt but I would think that any and all comodities including people will be traveling on it. THIS IS AFRICA, SIERRA LEONE.
You dont build a 6 billion dollar infrastructur and not use it 24/7 as and when you can.
Dredgemaster
Hi envirum, I think I was one of the first posters about the railway and its route.
Perhaps this is why Sney are haveing a bit of a problem about concession, you know misdirection.
There will be lots of reasons why the concession land could be even more valuable.
Minerals, Agriculture, Hydro, to name a few.
Large Sugar Factory nearby.Do they need more Land ?
Lots of pyrite and ore.
Even SAND and gravel will be an expensive commodity now that they are closeing down the takeing of sand from beaches on the peninsula.SL is a DEVELOPING COUNTRY.
Mining companies will have saleable byproducts that were previously discarded.
Perhaps I am too much of a visionary and looking too far ahead, and then again I hope Sney are also looking far ahead also.
Dredgemaster
Mikey, to be fair, the press release from MoM is not open to interpretation.
The PR from Sney is.
Thats the difference.
The MoM state the reg numbers and reasons and Sney will get a slap on the wrist, pay more than they want to, and be made to suffer for a while as a means of punishment. Thats the culture.
MoM will never say it was thier fault and will blame third party for loss of files and reciepts.
Remember, corruption is NOT an African word.
Even once you fulfill all the conditions thier can always be an act, or cultural thing that you did not know about that they may use to stall you.
As you say its rainy season so ops if any wont be affected.
I believe another company are useing the Dredges so someone has a bit of savvy to bring in some income.
There are about 20 ways to skin a snake in SL.

This is Africa, Sierra Leone.
Anything is possible.
Dredgemaster
Sney did disclose the events in a PR, after takeing action to remedy the cause and effect.
It only takes one PR to disclose, give reason why it happened and tell you what is being done to resolve the situation. Or perhaps some here would like a succession of PRs on same topic.
Perhaps some think it could have been released sooner, but that would have been a kneejerk reaction to a solvable problem that was not Sneys Fault IMHO.
In a country like SL, Sney and AMS have a great relationship with locals and government alike but business is business.
Some will remember that I posted a long time ago that Sney would have no problems if late with concession payments and I wqs proved correct.
The new submission for 4 year mining and exploration term will not be done overnight as the MoM have to make money through new boundary markings, surveyors, paperwork etc. The smart guy with experience always looks ahead to see where problems may arise and turn them into oportunities, companies spend 8 hrs a day trying to find out how they got stuffed. The other side spend 24 hrs a day finding a NEW way to stuff them.
Dredgemaster
Sorry cant help there, holiday time in SL until August. AFRICA TIME.
Dredgemaster
You are right, price per K. They will however have to pay a MINING licence fee I believe as this seems to be a condition of the 4 year renewal. They have after all sold peoduct of REEs so will be classed as MINING. Sadly the days of bulksampling are over.
Dredgemaster
Mikey, keep the information comeing.
While I may not agree with ALL of your opinions they seem balanced and help me and reasonable people to understand stocks and look deeper into actions by Sney.
The days of PAPER gold companies has long gone and actions and proveing up the concession is the only way forward IMHO.
Dredgemaster
Hi Au, IMHO, Sney has had too many Facilitators and not enough implementors.
Lots of people who have great plans and Nobody to make them happen.
If those whos job it is to get investors on board and bring in finance cant do thier job then this will not move forward.
If they can not carry out that plan in a Reasonable Timeframe includeing and takeing into account the little dramas that come along then people will lose confidence.
The only constant here is the concession, which has not been proved up as yet.
They NEED to learn by thier mistakes, do what the say they will and get on with the job in hand.
Yes there are lots of jnr miners out there but the reason they fail is not through hard work, it is because the do not have a concession as good as Sneys.
GLTU
Dredgemaster
Agreed, the key words are PROVEN RESERVES.
Then, cost of extraction to sale price.
Without the former you cant move to the latter.
I would question whether!!
Is Sney a Gold Company with REEs as a Byproduct?
Or Is Sney a REEs Company with Gold as a Byproduct?
Dredgemaster
Hope this helps, I think of Dredge Crews in the same vain as fishermen.
You get those who do it for leisure and we call them Sunshiners.
You get those who do it for a living and work come Hell or High Water.
When you are aclimatized in SL then you will also feel the cold in the rainy season. A drop of 10 degrees Cel at night will be felt.
Goodwill only goes as far as your pocket will stretch, when its empty so is the good will.
Yes, they may have retained a good geo but I still wait to see if he will actualy do any work.
It would seem that Pilot Plant is less important that new geo but I would rather see gold than paperwork.
Yes they have a gold bearing concession but at this moment that is All they have.
As for your other question I am finished with that thread, no dis intended.
Dredgemaster
Thanks, for clearing that up hope he will be fine.
He is one of Sneys Greatest assets.
I had heard something along the same lines a month back but had been unable to confirm.

Sir, PLEASE read my previous posts and you will see that I feel that the retention of the new geo is a step in the right direction and I have no peoblem with CHANGE.
I tell it how I get it from people who I know and trust and in some cases owe my life too.
I have no more to say on this subject and will not respond to any questions on Mr Tayyib or Mr Hale. End Of, Job Done.
Dredgemaster
Mr Hale, The Truth Will Set You Free, LoL, LoL, LoL.
If I had to chose between you and my several sources on who was telling the truth then I would have to chose my sources.
I also noticed that Mr Mohamed, Tayyib Bah was not mentioned in your PR.
Why was the letter to MoM signed by New Geo and not Tayyib who after all was or is Country Manager.
Mr Mohamed Tayyib Bah will have probably signed a Non Disclosure and will not be able to comment, but those close to him and those in Magburaka and Makeni know why he is not around.
I also noticed that Mr Hale did not go to SL this time so I seem to have been right in my first impression of him.
Dredgemaster.
Hi Wasoom, any comment on Hales response about, Tayyib?
My info was as yours that he had been let go and it came from SL right after Hale had left.
I know that several other posters were told the same from different sources.
Dtedgemaster
Read PR of 28th Jan 2013.
Mr Hale was one of the Initial Principals in the formation of AMS. He was with AMS until it was aquired by Sney 2010.
I dont think was being efectivly run by anyone. IMO.
