Go to the website.
They are listed there. Then you may have something to say.
I've seen them.
I have a sample of one. It's real. It works. Make a trip to Phoenix. It might cure your ignorance of the situation.
Will they make us any money? I don't know, but there's no excuse for you spouting off about things you have no knowledge of.
Nature, just for the record:
Don't try to interpret my posts differntly than I stated. IF I buy MMXT it will be for the reasons I stated. I still have about 4 times more SunnComm than MMXT and am holding. The only way Mediamax makes it is if Sunncomm makes it. We may indeed be on life-support, but if the financing comes through, I think we'll make it.
Thanks Bleu, but I'm just telling what I saw and was told.
I'm in Virginia, but go to Phoenix
usually once a year. Thought it would be a good time to visit
for my own satisfaction.
I should have thought to ask,
but no one mentioned Zune to me at Sunncomm.
Exactly.
The other point for me is again, the short term outlook. IF I buy any MMXT I want the option to be able to sell it within a year, and I don't think that is as possible with SCMI.
As far as the merger goes, they seem to be very committed to it still, and at 1:1, but as a matter of practicality, they don't feel the financing should be used for that but rather everything should go toward getting the company viable financially.
As far as the new products, I am fairly impressed. I have a demo version of the movie Grease, which is slated for re-release on it's 30 yr anniversary (which means they have to have some kind of permission from Paramount for the movie, and EMI-for the soundtrack. All on one disc you can play the movie in a dvd player, or load it in your computer and play/download the soundtrack, rip it to a Cd, download the soundtrack to an i-pod or other device, link to the Grease website, email a song to someone, etc. All this for a cost to the movie company of around a quarter as opposed to over a buck to package a separate dvd and cd.
I'm gonna start answering these in multiple replies included in one post as I only have 8 more posts availible today, and I want to give my impressions of the Octipod demo as I have time to review it.
Why value in MMXT vs. SCMI? Simple, it's reporting and far less outstanding shares. Add to that, I think these products can indeed produce revenue. What do I consider short-term? One year.
Mario is around in some capacity.
I was told he drops by the office a couple times a week. Not sure exactly what that arrangement is.
It is my opinion that MMXT will hold it's value in the near term better than SCMI.
Anyone not essential to ongoing development has either left or been dismissed. Mostly the folks left have to "wear multiple hats" and the programmers and R&D folks are the main ones left.
Once the initial financing is in place they will hire marketing people.
Doc,
Here are my impressions, based on what I was told, and observed:
1) Yes, I believe real companies are testing the new products.
I have a demo version of Octipod, which I've not been able
to check out yet. I was not given, nor did I ask for
timelines, but my impression was that a revenue deal could
be announced anytime for that product, and it seems that is
the first deal they expect. They are also optimistic that
the viral marketing thing will be a revenue producer, but
that AllPlay will be the big deal, yet further out. Of the
products I was shown, AllPlay, indeed seems the most
impressive.
2) Financing, I was told, is arranged and they are expecting
the first installment anyday. I was told the financing was
ready when we were told it was recently but there was some
sort of SEC rule change which caused the paperwork to have
to be reworked. The first check is supposed to be $1M, but
won't be announced til the check is in hand.
3) I was shown the records going back to the beginning. I
estimate 20 to 30 boxes full. They told me the audit was,
basically finished with the exception of the auditors
signing off on it which they refused to do until they got
paid, and we were out of money. That said, once they are
receiving some revenue (not the loan), it should be a fairly
simple, and quick process to pay the auditors, and have it
finished, as most of the work has already been done. The
merge, of course, would have to wait for that, and so, IMO,
will not be soon.
Hope this is informative. Not necessarily the answers I/we wanted, but felt they were honest and open with me, and are working hard. As I said, I am optimistic that the company can make it, not enough so that I'm buying stock now, but I'm resolved not to sell, and when/if I do buy it will be MMXT.
Thanks JR,
Basically, my opinion now is that the company has a chance to make it. As many have surmised, bankruptcy was a very real possibility over the last year after being so very close to success with the copy protection.
If not for some folks, including Peter and Scott being very committed financially, it would have been over.
Yes, the lights are on, the offices are up and running, the staff has been scaled way back, but progress is being made, IMO.
Just got home from Phoenix,
where I visited the Sunncomm offices. I'll be glad to address any legit questions when I get a chance tomorrow. Going to bed now.
It might seem puzzling to some
why someone who claims to have no position in this stock would so
relentlessly attack the various officers/employees of the company. I've been invested in this company for over 5 years. I don't have that kind of animosity toward anyone there. Have mistakes been made? Boatloads. Welcome to the wonderful world of
Pinks. Nobody twisted my arm to invest, nor can anyone else here say they were coerced. Pinks are a longshot at a big return. Everyone ought to know that, and if you don't, shame on you for investing blindly. But there's no justifiable excuse, IMO for people stalking bulletin boards bashing companies they have no vested interest in.
See my previous post.
LOL! You can't afford to go see.
So you just make these determinations from home? That's a uhm...
interesting stratagy.
OT: There's an old adage that I've found helpful:
"If you can't afford to go see it, you can't afford it."
OT. You guys need to leave tulsa alone.
We should be seeking his advice. Who else do you know that can boast of only losing money on ONE stock???? It's no wonder he's a millionaire.
Personally, I had planned to sell
for the tax break if we didn't see some movement by years end.
I am re-thinking that now. I believe I'll hold.
OT. Masha, in one way I agree.
It's frustrating to see some who are obvious bashers with no real interest in the company fringe the TOS and stick around. Yet on the other hand, I'd rather have that than the crap that takes place on RB which the bashers control by sheer volume of posts.
Mrfence had ample warning and would not control his temper. IMO, he could get re-instated now by simply asking Matt. I, for one,
would have no problem with it. (nor stehvestor, for that matter)
Evidently Matt felt so.
I had nothing to do with it. I have noticed that many have had their bans lifted by simply apolgizing and asking Matt for re-instatement.
There's always RB for those who prefer that sort of thing.
OT. Not sure who you're referring to
as "fearless leaders" but only Matt can issue bans. MrFence
was banned after he took exception to his personal attacks
on kenco being deleted, and made some rather ridiculous accusations against the board moderators. Something to the effect
that we were conspiring to bring the company down.
What pump?
That's what I was wondering. The boards were pretty darn quiet leading up to this. I think somebody just acted on a rumor. Let's hope there's some substance to it.
Back to a penny.
Somebody must have heard a rumor.
Ok, You two want to fight, get a room.
Foggy, why don't you tell us just what has changed other than the SP since you claim to have bought?
You covered your opinions ad-nauseum on SCMI.
Got yourself banned. You won't use this board to get around that ban. Spam is spam whether it's positive or neg. Keep it civil, and we don't need to hear the same thing over and over.
Why don't you come back when you have something to say?
For the sake of clarity, this is the question I was referring to.
Again, there may well be a good answer, but it's not readily apparant to me.
How does this proposed acquisition help us?
It's a legitimate question.
There may be a good answer. I too would like to hear it.
SHM?
I thought somebody (mario?) posted there would not be a SHM until there was something to report?
De nada.
They don't exist?
You have proof of that? Some documentation perhaps? I don't think so. Sting says he saw it. Did you go look? He has more proof than you.
From the dictionary:
Documentation: "the supplying of documents or supporting references..."
Document: "anything printed, written, etc., relied upon to record or prove something."
Like I said, very close.
I don't see sting getting intimidated off the board.
Who said you couldn't see it?
I have not gone to Phoenix to look. Sting said he did.
Disagree all you like.
Once the PR is released it is considered public info. No, I don't know anything more than the pr states. Whether you or I believe it is irrelevant, evidently sting does. He can claim that it exceeds expectations all he wants. You have no proof that it doesn't.
You're right it is a public forum, and he has the right to post his opinions, as do you, just as long as it's not personal.
Is there a product? I don't know. That's not the issue here. You're making accusations that are very close to being a personal attack on his character.
Sure it is.
It's public info. It may or may not be accurate but that is beside the point. You guys pile on Sting simply because you're ticked off at the company and he's a convenient target for you.
His optimism is his right, as is your pessimism.
