I would think yes. However, the DoD will post it on their website asap, and when AFTC gets around to it....., who knows?
If one can look up the current price of a diesel fuel injector for a Volvo D13 engine, I would expect an injector designed to run on JP-8 would be 2 or 3 times the price, maybe more. The DoD gives out multi-million dollar contracts like burgers at a fast food drive thru.
I don't see anything happening until the ARMY releases contract info, or Volvo/Mack does a PR. AFTC will not be forth coming on their dealings. They have adopted a 'deep black project' approach and will not admit to anything, other than the sky is blue.
I would be more than happy to see this approach .01 before any news is announced. But that will be a rough road to travel with all the flippers out there.
I'm not expecting anymore myself this quarter, still too early. As you said, big news would leak out. They have another Phase II contract being completed(final due date 8/14). After that we may hear the trumpets sounding.
Let's just hope they announce it with a bit more detail than....
"We are working closely with several companies."
So you dumped all your shares? You'll be sorry in a couple of months.
We expect something soon. But as an investor(not a trader), one must be patient.
"Hey, nobody saw nuthing".
And that would also include NATO Forces which also employ JP-8.
I've been wondering about that as well. Depends on the number of units ordered and at what price. I would think at least in the 10 million $ range, or more.
Yes, Army going through AFT. But no AFT contract with Navistar.
If an Army contract is looming, I think it will involve AFT and the Army only, not any other party(Navistar, Bosch, etc).
AFT selling pumps to Navistar makes no sense. Navistar has a contract with the Army for X amount of vehicles/diesel engines. Any change in that would be on the Army's ticket price. Meaning....
They would subsidize Navistar on additional work. AFT would not be involved with Navistar. Not sure if my post is clear....:)
I think you're onto something here. This could be your biggest pay off. Take out a 2nd mortgage on the home. Sell your life insurance. Dump your other stocks and short this baby all the way!
There's no way you can lose.
I would think we could see both, with Aftc selling their pumps directly to Navistar for new production vehicles, and then also selling to the Army to replace the Navistar diesels that are already in use. Navistar began delivering their new vehicles and diesel engines over a year ago, so those will have to be retro fitted by Army mechanics(I'm assuming).
I've covered most of that already the past 6 months, and was deemed a 'negative AFTC' poster. The fact that I hold several million shares not with standing, I believe they will have real news this year, just not sure if they will release it through EDGAR. That would require an upgrade to Current.
2014 could be their breakout year if they can secure an Army contract. More fireworks will follow in the coming years as DME moves ahead.
AFTC has a backwards vision of it's self. Almost like....
"We've discovered Uranium 235. But we don't want anyone to know."
Brian Bosworth as 'Big Jim McCandless'. 'Ice' as big money/big oil.
One of the areas that AFTC is lacking now that Jim McCandless is not with them is media relations. Jim was a good speaker and of course armed with endless knowledge of his field. I wonder if anyone in the company is ready to fill those shoes?
Just trying to welcome a new investor. But since you're on the line, what is you're prediction that AFTC will upgrade to Current within the next 4 years, and issue EDGAR PR's?
I'm guessing two years. Nothing until they hit $50 million in annual profits.
Keeping in mind, they view the stock as a loan shark.
Welcome to our little corner of the world. I think things will start to break in the coming months. Here's a Defense Dept. site that lists all the latest contracts. Something to keep an eye on.
http://www.defense.gov/Contracts/Contract.aspx?ContractID=5256
They are a publically traded company. Yes, they should do it all by themselves. What do they need, Obamacare?
Yes, in the long run the DME market will be AFTC's main source of income. But for the short term, a deal with a JP-8 Army contract would most likely happen first. DME is still in it's beginning stages, but the Army and possibly other military branches(including NATO countries) are hungry now for a solution to their diesel issues.
I'm wondering if any of these negotiations could allow AFTC to by pass the so called 'Valley of Death' Phase III level.
If their product is picked up/included in this tangled mess of Army/Navistar/Bosch compilation deal?
It would be nice if he could put these Diaaf shares into a real company ready to go public. So we will have to see.
So what was the point of their post? It has no bearing on AFTC.
I see. And did they release their PR's through EDGAR? And were they listed on OTC with a STOP?
I agree. Not a good stock for flippers.
I don't think AFTC managment thinks they can make money with their issued stock. They see it as an anchor around their neck.
Even though 100's of major firms are publically traded and rake in huge profits, AFTC views it as a debt owed to a loan shark. I don't know if they will ever change.
Alright, but an aftc PR close behind......? Not a chance.
They don't do PR's.
In my best raspy Clinton voice....
"I feel your pain."
Some of us have been waiting for years. But I really think we will see some action in 2014. There are certain contracts that have been completed, and results will soon be forth coming.
This is a real company, which means they have their up's and down's. They don't do fluff PR's which is why the PPS is so low.
So this is Mati's pot 'o' gold?
https://polymathnhe.com//
Aye, laddie. Tis lucky charms for us all.....:(
And a happy St. Paddy's Day too.
That actually sounds encouraging, as opposed to a flat out, "No, we do not have any projects involving DME."
So it would seem they do have something in the hopper.
I see.... And just who are these 'other companies'? What companies have a current need for DME fuel pumps and injector systems?
This has already been discussed here. AFTC is ahead of the curve regarding this technology. They have a product, but there is not a current market for it(that may change soon). Which is the reason Jim McCandless hitched his wagon to the SBIR work.
They have a lot more going on besides SBIR contracts. The reason the company was started was to develop DME fuel systems. I think their late CEO took on the SBIR work merely as means to pay the bills.
Yep, the jig is up. LOL...!!! Even the U.S. Army is in on this pump n dump scheme. It's all a scam :)
In fact, the DOE is in cahoots with aftc. This could be bigger than Watergate :(
For the love of money, just put in a small percent. This stock is ready to break out. You may smash Bosch in the face.
Well let me offer you an olive branch. Buy when it peaks. You'll be golden.
That can depend on several different factors, the first being the float. A stock with a 70 mil float will move higher/faster than one with 600 mil.
I don't know what aftc's float is, but somewhere around 300 million. That being said, a Phase III award will definetly boost the PPS.
