sgolds - Nope. That graphics card is a discrete component.
Early RS690 benchmark numbers
http://www.ocwforums.com/bbs/showthread.php?threadid=55125
Early benchmark numbers of ATi RS690 were sent to us by an anoymonous user. According to the user, the RS690 integrated graphics performance is pretty impressive. It is way ahead of the NVidia 6150 for the AM2 platform.
Using a 3800+, the RS690 is able to achieve a score of ~ 1750 in 3Dmark05. As for 3Dmark06, it gets ~ 500 points.
If the results is in line with the retail boards, that would be pretty impressive for an integrated video chip.
Compared to GeForce 6100(w/ A64 4000+):
3DMk05 - 624

Compared to C51G + MCP51(w/ X2 4800+):
3DMk05 - 621
3DMk06 - 314

Yeah, I noticed that. The roadmap is actually pretty valid, just time-shifted by their delays.
Best I could find:

Anyone know the location of a good ATi chipset roadmap?
sgolds - USB floppy?
plyngso - Why are you expecting a huge power reduction, when the same transistors are being used in current(or immediate future) 90nm and initial 65nm? Improvements will be ongoing.
But the fat lady ain't sung just yet. He didn't say they didn't have a valid case, just that he had no jurisdiction.
Rink - Nope - 65nm. Rugged translation, but the numbers are there.
Over the years, Intel, ultra-micro processor ere gap in the global super-ere about 30%; But this year, with graphics chip manufacturers Asia tripod Ultrafine Technology (ATi), as well as IBM foundry group backed-old Wu has been used to herald the integration of the Group of IBM, Intel will pose new challenges.
IBM Make Use of the power link
Ultrafine ATi merger announced a few months ago, [venture capital firms] to get into the graphics chip and chipset market, in spite of harm manufacturers as partners Technologies, Nvidia and Xitong, but the goal is ultrafine Intel. Ultrafine link IBM and Chartered Semiconductor, there ATi other companies, Relying on foreigners, in the hope that Intel's technological leaders.
The IDF will be published in a new generation of Intel 65 nano process technology, 65 nano process will be widely used in next year's Core2 Duo processor; Ultrafine also be outdone, released before the end of 65 nano-core Athlon64 X2 dual processor system, when veins from 2.0GHz to 2.6GHz. Ultrafine can narrow the distance with Intel, and IBM are the big hero.

Michael, why bother? You've been remarkably restrained in putting up with someone essentially calling you a liar. And if you walk him through it, then the story will just change to you sending defective code or something like that...
Don't stop believin', hold on to that feelin'!
And AMD includes the memory controller. And apparently does consistently better at idle.
sgolds - No, but you can plug in the country info and destination zip code here and find out:

Isn't denial wonderful?
DoU - You couldn't really be that short-sighted, could you?
Keith - Good to see you again! Been busy? Doing well, I hope?
Interesting that the model with the Opteron 1210 has a 4 week lead time, but the one with the Opteron 1214 is available now.
gollem - Sometime maybe, but it'll take a lot of design change for SOI, which takes time.
sgolds - re: "Can anyone give me a counter-argument?"
Probably nothing better; currently, at least.
mmoy - Maybe the pre-fetcher is ineffective for Mozilla builds, which would make the IMC the overpowering factor?
fpg, plyngso - It was where they started with dual-core, wasn't it?
fpg, plyngso - If you were about to release a new product, which can't be ramped instantly to the levels needed to cover all markets, where would you want to introduce it(assuming it's been fully validated, of course)? I'd say servers(Opteron) would be a lot more valuable than desktop, wouldn't you? Just because they might want to start there doesn't mean they won't fill out the market in time.

AMD quad cores: the whole story unfolded
Barcelona, Shanghai, Budapest and 65 nanometre
By Charlie Demerjian: Saturday 16 September 2006, 18:02
THERE HAS BEEN a lot of conflicting info coming out about AMD, quad cores and its 65 nanometre process. To clear this all up, I dug up the info the old fashioned way, I asked AMD. So, directly from the horse's mouth, here is the info on all the hot AMD topics.
The QC parts are rumoured to be coming in Q2/07, Q4/07 and Q1/08, and are said to be both the old and the new cores. Some people call the Q2 part K8L, others call the Q4/Q1 parts the same, but since AMD has no product called K8L, that is kind of speculative.
So, which story is right, and what timetable is it on? The short version is that all QC parts are the new core, Rev H, any stories to the contrary, including mine, are wrong. That said, the timelines, all three of them, are correct. There are two new cores coming from AMD, and three times for introductions.
The first one, set for Q2/07 is code named Barcelona, and it is a Rev H cored quad capable part with HT2.0. It will come in all power levels, including 68W and the SE 120W, but mainstream parts should be 95W. Barcelona cores will fit into existing infrastructure with no modifications necessary providing the boards and chipsets meet all the current specs...
Dec06: Rev G, first 65nm
Q2 07: Barcelona Rev H, first QC with the 128b FPU
Q4 07: Budapest Rev H but on a HTT v3.0 platform, both single socket Opteron + A64
Q1 08: Shanghai, Rev H dual and quad socket Opterons on a HTT 3.0 platform
Clearer now, but news on the mobile front will be good.

CJ - Not to mention their probable pushing for the dropping of the ATi Intel chipsets, or at least not telling the board makers, "Hey we've got issues for now, make sure and work hard with ATi to get quality boards out until we can get it right!"
alan81 - I suspect you're pretty close to it there.
cg- Seeing as how Dell's going to be offering 4x4 alongside C2D in their XPS line, I don't know that your thought necessarily has wings. Dell doesn't strike me as wanting to start up lines that won't sell.
wbmw - re: Are you kidding me? When someone reads this claim of yours, how else would you expect them to perceive it?
if NGMA was so strong in the OEMs eyes, then why is Dell picking AMD up so strongly?
I'd say it's more of a writing comprehension problem, on your part.
Hardly. Try this. Dell is picking up AMD because of volume delivery capability and(maybe) a price advantage.
Time for plyngso/Doug to alter his doomsday tune(only slightly, I'm sure).
DARBES, it's fine once you remove the undisplayed "< b >" that got appended somehow. It'd be nice if SI and Ihub used the same format, I don't know how many times, forgetting which forum I was in, that I've had to go back and fix the < > vs. [ ] bit.
mmoy - Thought this might interest you:

FWIW, newegg shows all 3 4M Conroes in stock right now, albeit with a 1 per customer limit on the 6600(at $370), which speaks volumes since the limit for the 6700 at $579 is 20 per customer, and no limit is listed for the Extreme.
imho - Always a day late and a dollar short?
plyngso - re: "today introduced" (emphasis yours) and "no comment about availability"
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33689
AMD IS RELEASING its 1207 not-pined Socket F Opterons today after a seeming eternity of postponed launches. That said, the day is finally here, and you can buy them all over the place.
and

all expected 8/31. 2 weeks. OK, 16 days. Think any OEMs might already have them?
Duke - Oh, please! It's nothing more than a stalling tactic.
wbmw - And you really believe that's why AMD bought ATi? Wow.
Tenchu - Dell is not AMD. AMD can remain neutral. Doesn't mean their customers have to. Dell probably just prefers to deal with one entity for both.
3.16M estimated, I believe. :)
