No need to be embarrased, I was hoping beyond hope that it was an updated interview myself. This was the interview that prompted my email asking them if they were knocking on the doors of congress. It is one thing to talk about these things in an interview, but quite another to have a plan to get in the face of the government at THE time in history when your technology is among the hot topics of the day. It was a simple formula to me:

X...The President is constantly talking about America investing in renewable technolgy development

Y...HGUE has the best of that technology available

X + Y = HGUE corp becoming the new fair haired child, and my new income source

But not if no one knows about it (is that a double negative?). When this post showed up yesterday I was hoping that Stevie had made a new push to get out in front of everyone with his product. I compared the GreenTech thing against the original posted on the website and was disappointed to find that it was just a sad attempt at news reporting using old info. So it even had me going for a moment and I was familiar with the original interview. I applaud all of you and your ability to mine the latest info though. That is why I check this board many times per day, it is one of my highlites to read the latest posts.

Plagarism? Or a re-release?

To me the obvious question would be, is this information getting to the people that it should be getting to in government? Whether Squires wants to get government funding or not, he needs the exposure that would come with government attention to his product. With the government looking at us, we would quickly attract the venture capitalists. I asked this question many many months back in an email, but as others have experienced, I got silence.

When my son was 2 I took him to a zoo where we observed a camel. It was there that we learned that they have this very nasty habit of suddenly spitting about a gallon of goo everywhere. Kind of like our rednecks spitting tobacco, only worse. I guess a man finds himself in the desert long enough and maybe a camel starts to look pretty good. It must have taken a long time of solitary in the sun for it to affect their genes that way.

This is old information, but at times like this I look back on it to help stay focused, and, along with the folks posting their thoughts on this board, it is what keeps me in.

First this press release in June '09:

"We have been engaged in preliminary discussions for more than six months and are now in advanced discussions with the Saudi government agency responsible for these decisions. We have undergone an incredibly in-depth due diligence review of our science and our business plan. The due diligence process was conducted on-site by a European consulting and analysis firm. Early discussions have led us to believe that we are a frontrunner in the selection process... It is our belief that if we are able to realize this opportunity we will receive significant financial support, facility set up, personnel subsidies and other benefits."


Then this interview in September and printed in November:

US company Solterra has already begun to build a commercial plant in Jeddah City in Saudi Arabia, which will supply its Quantum Dot solar cells to the booming construction market there. It expects to begin mass production early in 2010. ‘Several solar module manufacturers are waiting to transfer our printed cells into large area devices,’ says ceo Steve Squires. ‘We expect to start shipping at the end of Q1.’

Good things come to those of us who wait, can't wait for the rare prime rib that BS is gonna buy me.

My depressed thoughts aside, I agree wholeheartedly. I am in the same boat as you, something you mentioned already in #732. In between the updated posts I am sitting here studying a new programming language so that I might become more marketable and acually find a job, but all the while praying to God that this company will be legit, and make it, and I can quit playing games with the government, companies going broke, bosses who could care less for my dedication, and bad economies, and just retire. I am in the fight long term because of what information that is available. I am just so aggravated that we have to grope around in the dark like this. They know what is going on, and they need to be telling us. Well I got it off my chest, now back to the information mining and waiting.

I wish I didn't have to say it so well, I would much rather see the volume push the price up, but with the silence being what it is I can't really blame the sellers. They certainly are not day traders, just trying to save their money I suspect. I will hold, and will buy more if it keeps pushing lower, but the whole time I will be relying on the hope that the folks on this board has provided for me. My problem with that is that a business cliche has it that "hope is not a strategy," so I am swimming against the current here.

It is their own fault, they refuse to provide any information that would prompt someone to want to invest in them. I am in it for the long haul hoping that I haven't made the wrong call and won't lose my money, but not everyone invests that way. If I thought like "normal" investors I would take my winnings at .13 or even .10 or so and run. That is the careful approach and is what keeps this on the level of careful investing rather than gambling. One well known investor, I can't remember who, said to stay in long enough to take ten percent and then move on, and he always made money. We can put two and two together and conjecture all we want, but if they never give real, substantive updates, backed up with facts that a serious investor can use to make good decisions then they will never get serious investors, of the institutional kind I mean. I can't get anyone interested in buying them because no one is ready to invest in "far reaching statements." Everyone I talk to smiles knowingly and says, "I will wait and see how it works for you." It is VERY frustrating to see "No News Available" day after day, I just shake my head and wait.

Yes, you are correct, I didn't look back that far in the postings, I guess I should go back and read them all. But great news anyway.

Am I wrong or is this the smoking gun that we have been searching for? I see on the link that D5 presents that back in Sep. 09 word went out that production facilities were being built in SAUD, but it didn't appear in print until Nov. 09, and thanks to D5 we just now find out about it. OMG, This is what I have been looking for, have I missed something somehow, or is this proof that we are on the edge of the cliff? No PANTS ON THE GROUND here.

Thanx again for the info ih8. In doing my own research I opined to my wife that this company should become an industry leader and may attain an appropriate share price, to my thinking $200 per share would not be out of the question (notice ARM Holdings @ $187). Many industry leading companies attain a comparable value and much more (can you spell google? @ $589 or Apple? @ a measely $210, recently called a "steal" at $85), but that conservatively $50 would be nothing for this company to achieve, I would just need next to track down similar companies in order to do the math. Your efforts have saved me the time to prove my intuition, illustrating again what I am telling my aquaintances, that I have found here all of the information in one nice little package that which took me a year to find on my own. I can only offer thanks and moral support at this point, but continue to squeeze out anything that I can so that I may offer something of substance in return. I have the motivation and excitement now to hold on for the ride, and am selling the company to everyone I know. Good work ih8, and everyone else as well, it is really appreciated.

Fact is stranger than fiction

Thank you D5. This board is good for me because it has put an end to my doubts due to my months of looking daily for news to confirm that I didn't get suckered into something. When I first bought this company it was a leap of faith because of all of the naysayers posting comments everywhere about it being just another scam job. I read the bio of the employees, and every single thing else that I could find on page after page of postings day after day and was convinced enough to buy a little, then more over time. As a computer programmer, I see the logic in the technology, and the fact that Squires has the experience necessary to pull this off, and that Ghassen Jabbour is the chief scientist, affiliations with MAJOR Universities, with their exposure at investment shows and accomplishments to date, and that so on and so on. I don't need to rehash what we do know so far, but all of this has caused me to ask so many times, and second guess myself about the very same thing others are asking, "why is the price still so low?" I have had to rely on faith, and I chose to believe the same as Ih8aloss, that they need to be producing a product before there will be serious attention paid by the institutions. Another curious thing is that when I tell friends and family about this thing there is unanimous agreement that I hold on to this, which is significant considering some of my family, and the fact that I am unemployed and could really use the money. I wish I knew what the results are of the July 29th announcements of processing 100 grams per day. I don't think that I completely got the significance of that because I felt that this achievement was going to get them noticed, but it didn't seem to, are they not producing anything yet? This announcement was in keeping with a previous announcement that they planned to begin production by mid year 09. So I have had to "keep the faith" and resist the temptation to take my gains and run. You guys have been a real help with that, especially Ih8aloss, whose passion and relentless postings around the internet have been instrumental in helping me make the decision to stay in. My DD has lead me to the motherload of DD for solterra! I am so impressed with this board and the talent and knowledge of those posting on it. I have to say that I have spent hours today reading the postings and checking the links and am pleasantly surprised at what I have found here. I own 22k shares (hence Ion22k) because I have been reading anything that I could find about this company for about a year, and I have since become convinced that I will be retiring soon due to what this company, and its stock is going to do. I will admit, at first I was skeptical because I heard if it through a p&d email. I started taking a closer look because it had been at 1.50 before the market collapse, and thought it might go back up to that some day, from the 5-9 cents that I could get it for. Finding this board is confirmation for me to not only hold out but continue buying. As another poster indicated, I have seen Ih8aloss all over the place singing the praises of Solterra, and I have quietly cheered him on. And as another put it, this stock is my redemption, retirement, my financial ship coming in. Although I don't have a lot to invest, I have accumulated a nice position and if this thing goes the way it looks like it will, I won't ever worry about being unemployed again. Before researching this company, I knew nothing about solar, and still don't know much, but I have learned so much today from all of you, and am so glad that I have found this board. This includes the knowledge you folks have about the market and the way it all works with a company, I am going to learn so much from you. I have a bunch of friends that are curious and will ask about it regularly, I will be sending them here to learn more.
