You trade penny stocks much? If so, have you been very successful? When you say all in, do you really mean all in? Some people say that and drop like 10% of their portfolio?
Is there a link somewhere?
Okay, I do believe this has a good run in it or could possibly hit multiple dollars if bought out. I don’t think I have the hopes of everyone else, but if this is bought out by Amazon...what would our shares go to?
I think someone said it was short on being able to borrow shares right now. If that’s true, sounds like a possibility of a little run here.
Is there a limit on how many shares can be shorted.
Good point. Anyone who gets in to catch the run tomorrow or this week may want to set a goal for the price or be ready to dump very fast. If I get in, I’m just looking for a $1.50 or so increase.
If it opens at $1.01 then surely major sales will happen for profits. What do you all think the rebound number will be? Around 0.70???
That many shorts are still open?
I have no idea. I don’t normally trade penny stocks. Somehow I ended up here. JCP has had a Q since I have been watching it.
Is there anything that, legally speaking, that can force this to that price? Or, is it saying if there is buyout that’s what the price may go to?
So it’s saying each share should be worth $11.85 a share right now if not more. Am I reading that right?
Where is $11.85 coming from? I’ve seen two make that post.
A lot of you guys watching JCPNQ as well? Seems like both of these BK companies are in unforeseen situations.
Question here. With the new 1 billion shares being released could the Q still be coming at any moment?
The problem for the experts right now is this isn’t the normal stock market right now. They were telling people it was too early to buy airlines while individual traders said I don’t think so and walked themselves to the bank. I know someone that made $500K on AAL and I would have too had I had that kind of capital to begin with. It may just be a moment in time where you don’t listen to the experts???
Well, you were right when it was $.80. I know you said you were holding until $7 and then $10. I sure hope you sold way before that and made a nice payday. I’m looking at reentering on Monday.
So if one does not have shares and the buyout happens this weekend, one cannot get shares on Monday?
So if there are no shares to borrow, that means this has a good chance of going up?
I think you two should bet on it. $10K for the winner, and send me $2K since it was my idea ??
So you are no longer shorting this stock, but now buying?
Was I one of your people? Just need to know if I’m purchasing more tomorrow.
I like your words, but I’m not too sure how I can legally make sure you pay me back if I happen to lose money here.
Anyone have some insight on why this mug is moving? I’m not seeing any news or anything. Just moving...
That's a good question!
I sure hope you are right. I finally bit the bullet and jumped in today. I don't want to miss this one like I missed Hertz.
So you are short here and a long on JCPNQ? Someone playing both sides. Sounds smart to me.
What time is the hearing today?
Makes sense, thank you. Can this be done on any stock or is it just penny stocks? I see why longs and shorts aren’t friends, lol. I do find it interesting that people seem to be one or other. If you are a good trader it seems you could benefit greatly by being able to play either direction depending on the situation. While you can only lose what you put in being a long, it’s possible you could lose your life shorting so I definitely see the danger.
Just keep your eye on it for Q2 earnings. It may have another good run. I started working for Waitr part time during all this shut down junk to have something to do. Unbelievable how busy it was every night. I know they have added at least 200 drivers in my area since April.
Question is...why? It dropped 0.13 on the day and then runs up 0.34 after hours and most of that in a 20 minute time frame.
Seems like a lot of you are experienced Penny stock traders. I have question since you have all helped me out a lot with understanding shorts. Why don’t people do both? Or, do they? For example, the way this rand from last Thursday-Monday people that were in at 0.80, or in that range, surely took a lot of their profit. At that point, you probably knew it was going to trace back pretty far and I’m assuming the RSI at the end of Monday was pretty high. So, why not ride the wave up when you get fortunate enough to do so and profit again on the way back down? Perhaps some people do this.
People going to be able to listen like yesterday?
So if someone shorted $50,000 at $4.00 and it dropped to $1 do they profit $150K or does it stop at $100k?
I can see how shorting a stock can be very dangerous. I also see the intrigue people have with it. What would happen to the current shorts if the company gets the Q? Are they screwed as well, or is that a good thing for them?
It's just interesting. I don't plan on doing it. So, in your scenario where you make $5,000...you can only keep $2,000 of that?
I see! How do you do that? I would have borrowed here on Monday too! It was going to have to go down even if you believe you think the company will revive. It went up way too high way too fast.
You are blind. What was the unemployment rate before the virus? What was it when he went into office?
This is my last post with you because they want us to keep it on the stock. So here is my question...when all you guys say you are loading or loaded, etc...is that dropping a few hundred? A few thousand? Tens of thousands? I'm assuming it's different for everyone, but kind of curious how aggressive some are with penny stocks.
I don't even know how to respond really...except I feel like I'm talking to Pelosi. You don't have to like the man, but to ignore how great the economy was doing before the coronavirus is idiotic. Shoot, I don't know if I would have wanted to hang out with Trump for a day before he was President, but the numbers speak for themselves. Pelosi and the Democrats personal vendetta against Trump and to get him out of office could very well destroy this country. It's is no longer about working together even in differences. It has become a blood bath and we will all suffer.
I get what it's called. Just don't understand how that makes money.
Strange, how can you borrow shares at a certain price and sale them at a lower price and make a profit? Seems like that would be losing money.
