DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APPEAL AND NEW APPLICATION?
It appears to me that CGFIA appeals have been firmly denied. Their next step is to submit a new application for a permit. Of course that could utilize most of the same information utilized in the appeal.
LII APPEARS TO INDICATE STOCK BEING MANIPULATED
Placed a bid for 96,000 shares at $0.10 to round out holding to even 100 thousands. Bought 100 shares at $0.10 on open and then price right back up. Appears small offers at $0.10 to depress price. Watch LII near close for this trend.
GLAD YOU HAVE A PAT HAND HERE
An hope that we will not have to holdem too long before the word gets out of the success of this well and the value of their other properties.
A LITTLE WAIT FOR XMAS CHEER

That's good Paul.....
All I want for Christmas is what Chevron wanted back in the day..... 200' of Smackover, good porosity and permamability and about 9,000# of pressure. With a structure of this size, everyone's dreams on this well would come true.
Merry Christmas to all...

Are you people living in the real world. This is a wildcat, which statistically has a 1 in 7 chance of being profitable. And this is a high risk wildcat at that. Do you realize the productive capacity that this expensive well must have to make it economical? At least you'll have a tax write off, that's about the best to hope for"
Apparently he/she chas not kept up with history of this well!

MNLU STOCK POTENTI9AL
"Reply by Bob Nies 28 minutes ago
On a risk adjusted basis here is my estimate of upside potential for MNLU.
30% chance of 10x money ($5.00 per share)
50% chance of 5x money ($2.50 per share)
90% chance of 2x money ($1.00 per share)
Remember what that means.... 70% chance of less than 10x money... 50% chance of 5x money and 10% chance of a bust
As a risk taker I think those are great odds for success.... a lot goes into the above such as a solid economy, higher gas prices, inflation, favorable use of natural gas in solving our energy crisis, favorable legislation, etc, etc..... a lot has to go right to get the good returns projected, not to mention a Haynesville capable of economic production....
Merry Christmas to all and good luck on your wishes on this well."

BACKING RESOURCES ONLY WITH PERMIT APPROVAL
Do not wish to enter into debate that would have negative impact on CGFIA since I wholly support the good Mr. Guyer's efforts.
IS $60K A FINE OR ADDTN. TO BOND
If a fine, it certainly could not come from restricted cash set aside for reclamation. If an addition to bond, CGFIA only had $20,019 in cash per 10-K as of August 31, 2010. In either case it is a significant problem to CGFIA unless it is set aside in Formal Hearings.
DOES CGFIA NOW HAVE $60,000 CASH
I doubt if they do until they receive financing after permit is granted.
I wholly agree with you, don't rock the boat in mid-stream.
One of these days I will find something to agrue with you about.
SECOND ITEM ADDED TO AGENDA FOR CGFIA

PR ON WELL CORING
HOUSTON, Dec. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Mainland Resources, Inc. (the "Company" or "Mainland") (OTCQB: MNLU, Frankfurt: 5MN) (www.mainlandresources.com) announces that it has captured a 21-foot full core of the Haynesville Shale from the 60-foot cored interval at its Burkley-Phillips #1 well on the Buena Vista prospect located in Jefferson County, Mississippi.
The well is currently at a depth of 20,471 ft and Mainland will promptly resume drilling. The core will be transported to the Houston, Texas facilities of Core Lab Petroleum Services to initiate a comprehensive core analysis. Specifically, information related to volumes of gas in place within the matrix, porosity, permeability, gas quality, mineralogy and total organic content will be directly analyzed from the full core utilizing industry leading technology.
Mainland is currently drilling ahead of schedule and anticipates it will reach the programmed depth of 22,000 feet in early January, 2011.

LATE WELL STATUS REPORT
Reply by Bob Nies 1 hour ago
Ray,
The well is already drilling at the bottom of the Cotton Vally about to enter the Haynesville at about 19,400"... Chevron's original goal was the Smackover which they never reached..... estimated at about 22,200' in this well... if the Smackover is productive, I'm hoping they will take this down to the Norphlet... a lot will depend on BHP and if the casing program can handle it, however.
I'm confident in the productivity of the upper Cotton Valley and maybe the lower Bossier Sands based on the decision to case this well further up the hole than the originally planned 19,400'. Hopefully, that was to protect potential productive formation from damage.
Today's stock action was very positive technically, but the next 30-45 days drilling will define the thickness of the Haynesville Shale (and later the frack program to see if commercial production is possible). Smackover potential is a big unknown considering the 22,000+ BHP and extreme temperature recorded at the Chevron Long well.... this is all very exciting to be sure
AEXP TO MNLU DIFFERENTIAL EVEN BETTER TODAY
AEXP is selling at close to a 30% discount to MNLU conversion.
I also have a stron position and will just hang in there.
"AEXP AT 16.7% DISCOUNT TO MNLU ASK"
An exciting opportunity for a good wager, if there ever was one.
Go long on AEXP for conversion to MNLU and the odds are with you..
