I am glad E-Trade is already up on the IPO and has global trading available. I am just sitting back and waiting to see how this all unfolds.
It will be an interesting ride to say the least...!
:)
No worries, I was just trying set the record straight so we don't have people jumping on or selling off on any false pretences.
You better put your glasses on. You get .005 shares of new stock for every 1 share of SDVI you own, it's the same bloody thing as saying you get 1 share of the new company for every 200 you own of SDVI.
That is NOT a valuation!!! The "TO" implies a SWAP, not a valuation...
Somatochlora / others -
"There will be a spin off of Grafitti Entertainment from SDVI at a rate of 0.005 to 1".
That is the same as saying 1 share of the new stock for every 200 of SDVI you own (i.e. 200 x .005 = 1 share). Do the math please it's NOT a valuation of .005c, please post correct information.
I wasn't, only making a statement that the stock is trending up so it would seem prudent to wait and then sell to make more of a profit. I don't care what anyone does, nor is it my business, but it seems foolish.
Why even bother selling at that price, when the stock is trending up in the first place?
If you guys have margin accounts it won't matter what you do, they can still borrow to cover is what everyone else is saying and confirmed.
As far as I know you need a "cash" only account.
How long do we have to hold after the Dividend date to get the shares?
Nobody knows what the IPO price will be ... it could be .25c Euro for all we know. I am not of the opinion that it will be in the 1-7 Euro range...
Ahhh, I wasn't think about the business calendar days...my bad.
7??? Where do you come up with that?
There is no way this thing will stay below .01 as we get closer to the dividend date.
Eventually ALL those shorted shares will need to be covered. Unless as DFW said that they are all just traded between each other (i.e. borrowed) and they keep borrowing between each other while shorting down to cover at a lower price. That's why I only have cash accounts with my brokers and not margin accounts.

FYI - list of gaming publishers by country...perhaps we can dig around and see how some of these other gaming/entertainment publishers did.

Depends on how the IPO turns out which will weight heavily on whether or not I will convert.
I share your optimism Chedda, I am however at this time very conservative in my thinking so my expectations stay in check.
I am on the sideline cheering for a big IPO price just like you...just trying to be guarded about my optimism since I have been holding since early 2007 and have seen much since then.
Those are my thoughts, I love dreaming...and I could be proven wrong. I prefer to be a bit pessimistic that way my expectations won't crash as hard if something doesn't happen.
Anything in the $1-3+ range or better is a huge BONUS, my gut is just telling me that it may not be very likely...I could be wrong though...and I am still holding onto my shares.
That company only IPO'd around .50c and took 1.5 yrs. to get to 2 Euros...if you use that as a benchmark, there is no way Graffiti will have a successful IPO price of 1-3 Euro(s) to start...in fact you would be lucky to see .10c.
That company is also in a different industry (modular homes, panels, etc.)...
$29.99 a month through IHub.
Let's hope that is the case. There is only 1 more .0025 then we start knocking out the .0026/.0027s and we are on our way past .003c today.
Very good movement on some low volume. I do believe this is a sign of things to come as we get closer to the dividend date in October.
This should see a .01c for sure...the only uncertainty I have is, how will it hold after the dividend and IPO... it is anyone's guess since we don't know who will convert and how many shares will be retired through that process.
GLTY! :)
Dave, do you still have any share holdings in SDVI?
I hope you are right, I am getting sick and tired of waiting and waiting...
Not only that we have lost around 20 boardmarks since Monday.
Here we go, could we re-trace back to .0010/.0011??? I do believe so until October sometime.
You should read E*Trade's following page then, because they do trade on the Frankfurt exchange as indicated below and confirmed today by their brokers.
https://us.etrade.com/e/t/estation/pricing?id=1301340000#View2
(Germany XETRA Stock Exchange EDE)
Not only that, if you have an E*Trade account and goto Global Trading dashboard, in there you can select the market drop down list which includes the following markets:
Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom
XETRA is the Frankfurt exchange. http://deutsche-boerse.com/dbag/dispatch/en/kir/gdb_navigation/about_us/20_FWB_Frankfurt_Stock_Exchange
"The Frankfurt Stock Exchange facilitates advanced electronic trading, settlement and information systems. Thus, it is able to meet the steadily growing requirements of cross-border trading. Besides traditional floor trading, its fully electronic trading system XETRA® is one of the leading electronic trading platforms in the world. With its launch in 1997, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange succeeded not only in strengthening its own competitive position. It also created attractive framework conditions for foreign investors and market participants."
What this means to existing E*Trade customers using Global Trading is that you will be able to trade these shares freely using E*Trade's Global Trading system, I believe it is $19.99EUR per trade though.
This will mean that the stock price could be stuck in that .0025-.0030 range for at least another month. This will be interesting to say the least.
It's nice to do this, but kinda a slap to the investors who have really been hanging with this (LONG) for well over 1-3 years.
So what are the Ex-Dividend and Record Dates?
This is not what another Zecco representative told me. They told me that if they IPO on the Frankfurt exchange that you would not be able to sell those shares through Zecco at all. Zecco said they do not trade shares on the Frankfurt exchange.
If SDVI/Grafitti is using another middle man (banking firm) to handle the international shares via ADRs and ORDs then it will be possible to do trading through Zecco or Scottrade.
So is the IPO going to be an ADR or ODR??? I am trying to understand how all this will work.
International Investing
Scottrade offers a wide selection of foreign investment opportunities, which include American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), Ordinary shares (ORDs), exchange-traded ADRs and direct investment in Canadian markets.
ADRs
ADRs are receipts for foreign shares. A foreign company can deposit shares into an American bank. The bank then issues receipts, or ADRs, on their behalf.
ADRs may not have a 1:1 ratio with the corresponding foreign shares; instead, a single ADR may represent a group of foreign shares held by the bank. If dividends are issued in the company's country of operation, the dividends from that market are deposited in the bank, and the bank converts the money to U.S. dollars and distributes it to holders of ADRs.
ODRs
The ordinary shares of foreign-based companies are not officially listed on American exchanges, but they can still be traded through a brokerage firm that is associated with the company's home market. All Canadian securities available to Scottrade customers are traded as ORDs.
ORDs have a 1:1 ratio between the home market security and the ordinary share issued in the U.S. ORDs can pay dividends, and they are taxed the same way as ADR securities.
What US brokerage houses allow trading on the Frankfurt exchange?
Can someone answer these questions -
1. So SDVI files for NOBO and they find out who the existing share holders are and issue them a letter on how to claim Grafitti shares?
2. I confirmed with Zecco and they don't tade on foreign exhanges like Frankfurt. So I am wondering if I get fill out a form and tell SDVI when I would like my shares transferred to? I don't want them to deposit into my Zecco account and I have a Scottrade account.
Anyone know what Zecco charges for an international trade? $100 if you make thousands is really not much in the end, but it still is a good amount of money for a trade.
There is no logic to it in the end. I understand if they are a flipper looking to make a quick profit and they bought in at .0010/.0011 and flipped for a 100% profit at .002/.0021...
They are ultimately missing out on an even greater gain in the end.
But like Beachbum/DFW said, you take profit where you can and "try" to jump in again on others selling on the low.
I can understand some people wanting to take a profit, but in all seriousness whomever is selling at .002/.0021 you are a fool!
Wow, we sure are all over the place this morning. GLTA! I am holding LOOONNNGGG!
