Maybe we could consider another rule for NERS. Yesterday when we went sideways until about 1:20 we took out the days low, the CCI was in between -100 and -200. Take the short and use the CCI -100 for the cover and reversal.

gloe Another statistic that I would like to know is: Like in a strong uptrend if the sell signals turn into running tops more often. But a buy signal tends to turn up faster with less whip saws, then a sell signal. Maybe a person would be better of trading heavier with the main trend then counter trends.

Look at Samuel B. Jones QQQQ chart on the Public chart list. Today it closed right on his 61.8% retrace line.

I beleive we're in a complex correction from the June low. On the NDX we could go back up to 1600- 1630 area. Then it will be time to get short again.

Look at Aaron D. Brussat Compq count on the Stockcharts public chart list. I like his count. When the Compq hit its top the NDX had a possible failed fifth wave top. Its just something to consider.

I'm changing my more bullish call to bearish for now. My charts are showing we should turn down. Time will tell.

I think your call should turn out alright. The reasons I think today might be a short term buy is. Using the NDX:SPX 30 minute ratio chart at 12:30 ET was the low for the day, so it made a higher low the last hour where the NDX made a new low. Drawing a trend line on on the NDX:SPX ratio chart, Friday and Monday it broke it to the up side and the MACD went positive also.
Then we have the daily VIX, VXO, and VXN close above its bollinger band.
When we hit the low of the day, the put call ratio was very high.
Today also was a bradley date, which I trust least, but was part of the puzzle.
I'm looking at the possiblity of going up to the 1770 plus area. From there a more serious down turn. Also today we hit the 61.8% retace of the March 23rd rally.

Husk, Thank you for your reply. My count is a little different then his. On the SPX where he has a 3,is where I have a five. Where his 5 is I have my (b)as his 5th wave is to overlaping. Friday finished the (C) of the abc correction. If my count is right we should drop hard tomorrow. My counts are wrong allot, so we have to see what tomorrow brings.

Pokersam's call could be right the way I look at it. Look at Matthew Frailey's first chart. That large triangle is what is fitting his thoughts. I have no idea when it will bottom. Yes I'm bearish for now.

My thoughts on the NDX.
I think we have a long ways to go to finish the 3rd wave. Wave one (the way I see it) bottomed at 1550.8, a total of 77.8 points. If wave 3 is 1.618 of wave 1, that would take use to 1493. It could take a different fib and go much lower. So I'm not in to big of an hurry to go long yet. My count could be completely wrong. So I will came an eye on the Poor mans daily chart, as I've been burnt before getting to hung up on my count.
As you all know I don't say much. But I'm always reading your posts.

I like to use a daily chart of $COMPQ:$NYA, which does a nice job in keeping you with the main trend, using MA(13) and MA (25) for the moving average. Today it made a lower low then yesterday. To me it means no trend change. NYA tends to be a saver index during a down trend, as COMPQ or NDX stays with the trend usually. As we all know nothing works all the time, but looking back a couple of years it looks pretty good.

Yesterday the NDX 30 minute chart with a macd setting of 65,90,12 crossed down. It crossed up on August 31st. I have other time frames that are confirming the turn.
