Regarding the new investment in restricted stock.
Consider some facts:
A.
1. The rather significant capital that was invested by experienced investors in BB stocks - at prices that aren't that far from market.
2. Board members.
3. Employees.
4. Scientific advisors.
B.
1. In all likelihood, the recent purchase of restricted stock, I would argue is quite bullish.
2. By nature of the investment it is LT.
3. In today's market, can't imagine a sophisticated investor not kicking the tires or checking to see if there is oil in the tankers.
A + B = added optimism toward the future of VODGE.
QED
Wasn't going to respond to your post, but after some reflection thought I would offer these comments as an attempt to try to help you.
Frankly, the extent of your ignorance reflected in your posts would humiliate the average investor. In your case, you only reveal how truly ignorant you really are.
Do yourself a huge favor. Before you post make sure what you are saying has some modicum of truth.
As far as any investment insight, get yourself a seeing eye dog and listen to him.
Bingo! In all likelihood, it is just a matter of time.
I love reading your posts Maverick720.
It is refreshing to know how unsophisticated some people are here at investorshub. What is even more amazing is that you're not embarassed by your dribble and nonsense.
So please, keep it up, the entertainment value is priceless.
The move to $4 was the result of a bid to buy the company. The Investment Banker was a regional firm with offices in Denver and NY.
1. Since then Dr. M has done a superb job at increasing shareholder value and minimizing dilution.
2. This is as far as you can get from a pump and dump deal. If anything, the float hurts the price action, but will reward the patient investor.
3. It would appear that payback for shareholders is getting closer. Now, consider the ownership of the stock. From the recent investors, to Dr. M and many board members involved with the company back during the move to $4 - I have reason to believe most are still shareholders.
These folks aren't in this thing not to be successful...
News significantly improves business value for shareholders.
Frankly, you are quite wront.
It was very fortunate.
There was only one perfect man.
Incredible when you think about it!
God, becoming man
Perfection
Then Death
For the payment for your sin
Faith
New birth
New creation
Management's consistent behavior, embracing sin, turning from the Truth,
Disgraces the name of Christ.
The Truth?
Their sin will find them out.
Repent, confess your sins before it is too late and He returns.
It is a lady's prerogative.
To change her mind, that is, I decided to come back and put up with the occasional numb-nut, dadp people that - on occasions, torment this board.
In reviewing posts, some prior statements by the NN that didn't appear to be answered on this board -
1. Reversible immortalization? in a word:
"covered".
2. Regulated expression of immortalizing genes? in a word:
"covered".
3. I think people are missing the potentail significance of the recent press release.
Anybody that calls this a pump and dump stock is dad, not to be confused with Dad.
Anyway, if I gotta have a desk next to you jerks, I might as well try to get along.
I vow never to waste my time here again.
This situation is very sad.
Just happens that here in the Pacific NW, I have some friends that are plugged into the same church as some of the officers of MITD. This is another sad example of "Christians" acting like anything but.
Very sad.
SHUT DOWN WHOLESALE? SEC next?
My contacts in Savannah tell me:
MIT shut down wholesale, all employees gone from department. A competitor picked up a few.
Oh, that HUGE international sale?
NADA
And the guy responsible - left the country!
I'm back.
Excellent trip.
It appears that things are progressing nicely, maybe at a slower speed then the Hot money out there would like, but my experience with Hot money is just that.
Here are some things you may or may not find of interest.
1. Major shareholders encouraged about business and future opportunities. Remember, these folks are long term investors with patience and persistance to stay the course. They also have the "resources" to significantly improve the possibility of a successful outcome for all shareholders. If need be, I believe they will take the appropriate action needed to maximize all shareholder values.
2. Mgt continues to press forward and improve the "intrinsic" value of the company. Maybe slower than some would like, but the direction is quite encouraging and last time I check this ain't no MRK.
3. The current environment may have some short term impact on the top line, but that is only my guess of things and would prove to be transitory in nature.
Headed to CO on business. Will fill you in as soon as possible.
You are what you post.
Stop and think how others perceive you when posting, not just whether what you are posting is in line with the guidelines.
Since we can't see or know who is posting, I've always considered what people post as a good reflection, or mirror of what -or who- they truly are.
Your posts speak volumes, bro!
VODG = Shareholders First???????
Just imagine, an OTCBB stock that has treated shareholders, like, well, shareholders?
Amazing.
The low share count is a tremendous asset to shareholders, but of even greater significance, it reflects critically important management philosophy.
Time will tell if managment and the new equity investors/board members can turn the patents into profits.
VODG offers outstanding risk/reward, in a world of change, uncertainty and risk.
FACTS:
1. Unique patented methodology of transfering DNA.
2. Potential platform products in multi-billion dollar markets.
3. Sophisticated equity investors and board members adding tremendous business experience.
4. An outstanding small, but growing management and scientific team.
5. Management that has not diluted shareholders.
6. HUGE sales and earnings leverage on a per share basis, HUGE!
7. Target markets that are enourmous and will support large multiple products.
OPINION: The political/business enviornment appears to me to be changing in a very dramatic sense and one that significantly favors investments in companies like VODG.
REWARD?
My opinion - In my dreams. This company could be to the bio-tech industry what Ford was to the industrial revolution.
(Question. How many times did Ford fail before he succeeded?)
RISK?
You tell me.
My opinion - What I have and continue to say - the risk is that Dr. Musick doesn't have the business capabilities to see that the science works in the marketplace.
That said, his recent equity and boardmember additions have the proven record to ameliorate this risk.
That said, do to the nature of this stock, I wouldn't invest anything more than I could afford to burn.
The math:
100,000 shares at $0.10 per share = $10,000.
Risk - a $10,000 crapper.
Reward - old high from years ago when this company began its transition - $4.75 x 100,000 shares = $475,000.
I would argue that IF this works, we will be looking down on the old high.
Yea, I may be wackkeddd, and this may not work. But with nearly 40 years of doing this I haven't gotten rich by playing it safe or being conventional.
TIME FRAME?
It will happen when it happens.
Good question.
Let me see. Banks seized, European banks nationalized, high yield bond funds selling at a 20% current yield, BAC down the toilet, just another ho-hum day in the market, need I go on.
It's so boring today, hey, let me speculate and buy some VODG and while everything else is morfing towards $0 get me in quick, sure pay up for it.
Are you Barney Franking me?
1) Chances are it is the result of that infamous Dance of the Daggers. This happens ever so often when your trading positions turn into daggers that someone is dropping on you.
2) Right now, this dog is the least of most folks concerns and the environment certainly doesn't foster speculation, more like survival.
3) And finally to be, well Barney Frank about it, ibd b&a.
Back from DC. Looks like this board has elected to go the way of Washington.
Yea, gimme the video.
1. Diabetes market is huge and there certainly will be more than 1 potential cure.
2. Platform products are huge, I mean in your dreams type of potential, as well, not just diabetes.
3. Have admitted from the first, the biggest risk appears to be if the good Dr is also an entrepreneur.
Regardless, don't think it matters. While all this is coming together ...
For the first time - I believe that major and tremendously experienced equity investors are there to, well, help insure success. They are patient, as is the good Dr. They all recognize the long term advantage to doing things that build the type of foundation needed to support the magnitude of the Company's business plan.
Boy that's an odd smell.
Kinda like bubbles. Awh, the facts always did confound me.
If you believe what you say, you should sell your stock. Do me a favor and lean on it real hard.
This is very interesting.
Stumbled across the seller that has driven the price of VODG down.
Call me lucky, here is how it happened. Visiting in CO, seeing ah certain people and noticed information about a home transaction.
You see, I new the owner, who happened to BE a decent size investor in VODG. The house was sold by the family's executor and price wasn't a big factor. Sold for under 7 figures but had way more in it.
Moving the stock the same way.
You come to whatever conclusions you want.
As for me ...
The good Doctor sounds, well, good, upbeat and enthusiastic. Understand that things are developing well for the Company and shareholders.
CALL THE CORONER.
WHY, OH WHY,
Didn't I buy more VODG???
Hole lotta shakin goin on.
Actually you appear to answer your own question in your profile when you state:
"Buy when everyone is bashing the stock".
It is difficult to know what caused the drop. I have been trying to buy more stock forever. A GTC bid at 11 for the past few months has been me. I would guess the seller was either:
1) a frustrated MM, hopefully NITE and they got sliced and diced;
2) a frustrated long that needed funds to participate in the more traditional market;
3) some enlightened individual or
4) a fool.
Whatever it means, I added and tried to shake out size today but couldn't.
Anybody wanting to sell size - in here - meet me tomorrow, will be showing a small bid initially for 50.
So come-on baby, what chu mean maybe?
Hole lotta shakin goin on.
WHY OH WHY DIDN'T I BUY MORE?
WELL ... NOW I KNOW,
JUST GIVE ME A CHANCE.
WHY, OH WHY,
Didn't I buy more VODG???
You are.
What do you mean not going well?
WHY, OH WHY,
Didn't I buy more VODG???
It certainly appears that things are well on track here. Dr. Musick is very up-beat in his conversations. The company is adding significant shareholder value. Finally, it sounds like the new investors are really pulling their weight as well.
Every indication I get is that this opportunity continues to grow and develop with everyone sharply focused on execution of the business plan and what should eventually be very dramatic returns to shareholders.
My comment on the WST interview:
Just plain over the top!
For years, investing without emotion has been a critical component to my success. BUT, when I first read the 6/23/08 WST article on VODG, today, I could hardly contain myself. This is just one incredible opportunity. I think the long term potential is beyond, way beyond. Trying to put numbers to it doesn't seem to do it justice.
Considering today's Sarbannes requirements as to the following comment:
"We believe that there are limited obstacles to sharp increases in revenue"
For any management to make that statement is tremendous, for Dr. Musick to say it is remarkable. Couple that with the beginning information and other facts provided by this website and .... who knows.
As I have said before, I feel honored and lucky to have a meaningful position in VODG.
Thanks for the feedback. It strike me as being pretty strong indication, here is some background information:
1) Eric worked full time at VODG. He is an outstanding individual.
2) Left to work for AMGN (I actually owned this stock as a value play due to the constraints at VODG, but continued to assist VODG.
3) To show you the forethought here at VODG - this was planned. That is his move to AMGN and eventual return.
4) Eric is extremely talented on the bio-tech manufacturing side and a great compliment and aid to Dr. Musick.
5) To my knowledge he isn't rich, yet.
6) Exercising the options will avoid significant tax consequences ... when ...
Louis would like this one, in fact, me thinks so would
Louie, Louie ...
Oh, VODG, oh, oh
You better buy her down low.
Oh, VODG, oh, oh
You better buy her down low.
A fine little stock, I'm as full as can be
Just the stock, I want her to be
Sometime soon we be bustin da bank,
And little VODG, I'll wanna thank.
My apologies to the Lettermen.
Qui tacet consentiret? Or am I the only one that thinks Mr. Van Horn's conversion of options has significance?
The conversion of options from someone who is not flush with funds strikes me as unusual from my experience.
Tax implications.
Me thinks it makes a very interesting statement about the future of VODG.
Ms. Intuition
Oh, and by the way
=>
Exercising options... Interesting.
You never did answer me. How did you get mixed up with MITD? I have seen your postings on MNTY, Pastor Phil, etc. and would like to know the connection please.
Correct. I changed my signature to remind me of what I have come to understand:
LP and JM (and some other important folks as well have somethings in common.
Glad to make your day! Especially before a weekend - good news on a Friday sure beats the alternative.
Notice anything else about my post?
Inferences?
The most promising news I have heard via a third source is that VODG has been interviewing for an IR firm. Why is that important???
Great question.
It means VODG is at the worst on schedule with their business plan, but I would suggest that it comes earlier than considered the beginning of the year, ahead of the business plan at that point in time.
Conclusion.
VODG is ahead of schedule, sales firmer and as a result production will be ramping up quicker than previously planned.
As L.P. put it - "Chance favors the prepared mind."
Chance favors the prepared mind.
L.P.
Then how do you know these folks?
I give some people a chance. You were a board member, correct?
Thank you for admitting it. When is the chapter 11 announcement?
