dakota, if I could recommend your post, I certainly would. That story about your neighbor's dog pissing on your car tire, was pretty funny. Made me laugh at the end of a not so funny day. I will call Terry tomorrow and ask him what the hold up is. This stock needs to move or go to bed with Rip Van Winkle. Something's gotta give. Maybe we need Jack Nicholson as a spokesman?
yes, gentlemen... I too thank you for your efforts in helping this board, as well as putting formal communiques out to the various interests who cover cancer therapies and pursuit of cures. Great job!
Gold Seeker... how is that crystal ball looking? Are the words Siemens Medical starting to show up yet? The silence is deafening.
so you didn't get very far with Terry? Almost sounds like a laughable phone conversation. Did you talk about the weather or Britney when you saw that you weren't getting anywhere?
my point was that Terry is in the office today... taking phone calls. If you think you can get him to elaborate on "things"
did you try his office?
I can only hope that a new licensee has more marketing/distribution clout than Abbott. I'm not very impressed with the way this has unfolded with Abbott to this point, are you? Whether they have all this clout or not... if you don't use it, what difference does it make? Abbott needs to get off its dead derriere or be forgotten.
okay Gyro, that's interesting about Panacea. But how does that relate to BioCurex if at all?
in what application are people assuming that another license agreement is in the offing for RECAF? If there is already an agreement with Abbot, what else is there? Is the Abbot agreement non-binding, or are we talking about a different application for the cancer marker?
What is Siemens chasing that Abbott is not already in full pursuit of, relative to RECAF?
thank you Dick for the competition response. That is helpful and clears up my confusion.
GS, even if there was an announcement to follow in the next week or so on a partner, why would that prohibit Terry from returning phone calls? There isn't a law that says you have to quarantine yourself, is there?
I would expect a return phone call in due time, but how many days would it take normally for Terry, I don't know. Some PR and IR people don't ever return calls or they do on a whim. Not sure how you guys are putting two and two together and coming up with eight here because Terry is out traveling. Maybe he's burning unused vacation and his wife told him to turn his phone off or else get divorce papers shoved under the door.
here is an easy question which might be hard to answer, but who is SLP's competition? I am sure there is plenty of competition in software, with technology changing by the minute. But who is the direct competition for these models and simulations in drug discovery space with big pharma in mind? I assume that the intellectual property is what gives Walt & Co a leg up on the competition. But I say that and I'm not sure WHO is the competition at this point. ???
well that was depressing. Instead of optimism, we have posters saying see you after we take another 20-30% haircut? You people are of a much calmer resolve than I am. #@%*!!
conversely, instead of trying to figure out how to trade this stock, I believe it would be a valiant quest to pressure Moro into providing a presser which tells people what the heck is going on. This stock is getting knocked backwards because there is no transparency to BioCurex. That is my opinion.
Not a good start so far, back down to $0.55.
I would worry if such gaffes become a habit. That tax issue has resulted in the stock dropping like a rock. 17% yesteday and that could be matched again today. It's very important that SLP not drop the ball like this again, can't afford to, not with a healthy P/E ratio. So we take it in the chops, grin and bear it. Painful lesson learned on tax reporting!
whatever kind of storm looms, I have not liked the weather in the last couple months since ISOBM conference. BOCX has lost about half of it's value from the PPS high recorded the week following the ISOBM. That does not bode well in my book.
Somebody at BOCX needs to get up on their box and start spouting off some truths as to what their intentions are, relative to Abbott, before this stock takes another 30% haircut. I am losing faith very quickly, I cannot deny.
I too hope that all people here had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
good luck, zolax. Believe me, I have contemplated getting out myself and getting back in when more PR and a direction is established. I think we are all frustrated to a degree.
I'd like to see SLP get back on track in a move up, but it is showing some weakness today for sure. Chart has turned ugly on us.
Nebula, the chart indeed looks like it is shaping up nicely. I think once we see $7 and support under that PPS, we're off and running to the all-time highs again. Load up, yes sir.
Good luck Gold Seeker. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Be safe!
I thought I saw only 4000 shares traded about a half hour ago, and now we're at 11,750 shares. Are you looking at the same numbers I am? That is hardly "fantastic" in my mind. ??
great-grandma, we're on the same side of the fence and I agree with you, we all have crosses to bear. I am all for the celebratory trip to Italy. I just hope that we have just cause for that before this daddy becomes a granddaddy! Thanks for your post... and I sincerely hope that poor health has not befallen anyone here, including bocxman, whom I have never read, other than the last brief post.
great-grandma,
My apologies if my post offended you. I almost read your post about bocxman and his terse post "uh oh" as being the equivalent of Jimmy Durante kicking the bucket in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Not sure why I read it as being unintentional satire, but I did... sorry. Not to be cynical, but I somehow doubt that he is in such bad shape that he can only type five letters and hit the space key and return key once each. Just my opinion.
You are correct in that you don't know me. As for prolonged illness... I know far more about one that is hereditary and is rocking my family... than I know about stocks. No disease is a good disease, but this one leaves you in a vegetative state where you cannot think about posting on a keyboard. Coincidentally, my brother has MS and he is faring far better than other family members. So I guess everyone has their own perspective and outlooks on life.
I don't wish to get into more personal details but I share this much with you as this serves the point that you don't know people on message boards, nor their motives, nor their personal situations. Assumptions can be wrong.
Wherever bocxman is, I hope he is in fine health... and perhaps I will "meet" him someday. Perhaps you will get to know me more in the future. I am not at all offended by your remarks, but that part in which you said "but I bet you know very little about prolonged illness..." is a bet that you would have lost.
Wise not to place bets.
then let me express myself... IMO... Sleeper needs to go take a long nap and lighten up. I never read anything in which Gold Seeker said "let me be emphatic... it will be Siemens and it will be daggone soon".
Sleeper, let's keep a minimum level of decorum. I don't think I need to see IMO littered throughout every GS post, do you? Of course it's his opinion. If your opinion is contrary to GS's opinion, then sure, take him on and refute his opinion and state your own.
Whether you back up your opinion with anything is of your own choosing.
I will say the above is my opinion, IMO, but I'm not going to keep saying IMO in all future posts. I think I just used up all of my free "IMO"s which were given to me by InvestorsHub. I'm tapped out.
"Maybe he is still very ill, and that short post was all he could manage. "
The Man is still very ill and he asked that I translate for him. Bocxman wants to say "uh....".
Hmmmm. He didn't even say uh oh this time. Let me see what is going on with him and why he dropped the "oh".
I think some people are reading too much into the Man's comments.
Holy cow.
I don't know bocxman, so I can not say that I am disappointed in him. But if he wasn't around during the recent ISOBM forum, and shows up afterwards, that tells me he is a hard sleeper. Maybe he sleeps like a log and goes through late summer hibernation?
I am not sure about lessened volatility, but I don't think the sell off was at all what long shareholders had envisioned. I know it was unexpected on my end. Perhaps too many references by uninformed Motley Fool forums has impacted the stock price?
The split has been damaging to this point, there is no other way to argue it. Maybe some took profit knowing that splits are usually a setback. This will be interesting to see if there is a reversal of recent fortunes on the near term horizon.
Half Full,
I'll inquire with my Canuck comrade and will reply back on the Canadian health care question.
I enjoyed your ISOBM request for post-conference notes and details. In their response, they called you Dear "XXXX". Is that to say your name is not Mr. Glass? LOL
"But more importantly, does anyone have any thoughts on our prospects for moving to a real stock exchange???"
It's pretty far from happening unless BOCX gets above $4.00 PPS and sustains that for some time. That would qualify a stock for the NASDAQ corporate listing, I think. The NASDAQ global listing requires a sustained $5.00 PPS.
Not sure about the AMEX, but I would say that AMEX is marginally better than OB status anyway. AMEX seems to house the crooked MM as far as I can tell.
Naturally, it would be great if the stock could rise in value above $4 or $5 to get the NASDAQ listing, since a reverse split can be very risky to any stock.
yeah, don't shoot the messenger, in this case grousegirl (thanks for sharing your phone conversation with Terry), but this complete B.S. as to the "filter" answer given. The guy is in the PR business and he can't steer himself to Abbott to pursue this further. What value is Terry adding?.. seriously?
thanks, I did "hide box" and life is good. Man, that was like an obnoxious neon sign, blinking in Kramer's bedroom. Kenny Rogers Chicken or whatever.
Good to see that the selling has subsided for the most part for SLP today. Let's see some accumulation and a march back up now that the Fools are completing their foolhardiness.
I guess the split must have confused a few of them.
Moderator... is there a way to get rid of that chart at the top of the Messages page? This is the only hub stock I see that has such and it is annoying to have to scroll down to get to the messages. What is the purpose in having that there if people get tired of scrolling down, or worse, they keep thinking that was the "last post"? Thanks for consideration
20cbocx, you sound a bit cynical with a bad taste in your mouth. I hope that you see some upside realized soon so that you can put some skip in your step. As the other poster mentioned, this low volume is not what one would characterize as any pump and dump or shaking of a tree, for that matter.
Good luck with your investment. If it is an investment and not a trade, you should have less worries today.
allow a relative newbie/lurker to ask... what happened to Bocxman? Will we seem him post in the future or has he left the message board? I ask this question with no knowledge, hoping he is in fine health anyway.
To my knowledge, the best thing going for SLP is that the the management is solid. When Walt speaks and gives guidance, he is not playing games. That is what makes SLP a rare gem in this age of cynicism. I wish that SLP was on the NASDAQ instead of AMEX.
Is anyone aware of whether Walt has any aspirations in taking SLP to a NASDAQ listing?
