Jake,
I know it's tremendously easier said than done, but don't allow yourself to get depressed. Try anything that motivates you to keep an up attitude, from family & friends, stories (factual, fictional, biblical) & movies, to goals & future plans (travel, hobbies, whatever interests you), to even daydreaming and fantasizing.
Allowing yourself (I know, you have alot of help other than just allowing yourself) to get down will have a most serious effect and can make things so much worse. Consider it a challenge, if you can, and don't help it to beat you.
Best, as always, Fred
I raise my glass to wish everyone exactly what they really want for 2004!
If you're driving, make it sparkling cider, and watch out for the person that did not take heed to this message.
When you're safe & settled in one place for the evening, make it Pink Champagne!
:o}~
Happiest New Year!!!
~Fate
Hawk, Sunny, 78 degrees here, shortless (I mean, shirtless) New Year's Day shaping up here...
Enjoy your new year!
~F8
Buzz, Full trading day tomorrow. eom
Yes, we can...^^^...
Then, probably tread around 2000 for a while, before moving up again...imho...
~Fred Up
Hmmm, $10,000/night...
Depending on profits & who I am staying with...a Premium Ocean King might be just fine (& more cozy).
I once stayed at an $8,000/night room in Vegas (MGM Grand, but I did not pay for it). Tremendous suite, two bdrms, two bths, two jacuzzis, LR, den, full bar, three-sided view of Vegas, personal attendant & cook, TV in every room (yes, even the bathroom)...
But, you have to be celebrating something with more than just one other person. I got lost in the dang room...
Still, hmmm...
~Viva El Federico
LMRI, You,
Maybe I'll visit Grand Wailea to observe your reunion (possibly celebrating my CYGX profits).
Hope we both make it...
:)
~F8
Marcos, lol, just try not to regift it to someone else.
~F8
Hawk/LMRI,
As they say in iHub land, nice grub Hawk (silly word, but nice number = 3000).
LMRI just jumped, LMRIheeman, :).
~F8
Ron, I guess I'm in the "older crowd".
I remember each & every one of those, including the push lawnmower.
I remember thinking, after we got our first gas mower, just why the heck did we have that other thing.
Then, I figured it out. The push mower must have cut better because it used human power (& we probably needed the exercise),lol.
Ah, memories...

MERRY DAYS TO ALL
I'm gettin' outta here with my holiday egg nog special, & I'm going to give some to everyone I meet along the way to Santa's (mom's) house.
Safe & Happy Holiday, Fred the Red-Nosed Something or Other
:*)
Yo Ho Ho...
I'm experimenting with some egg nog recipes...
I feel fine, thank you...
How are you?
~Frednog
Ron, Yes, Matt did say that...
Unfortunately, he is pretty sick out in Colorado (on vacation).
Last I heard he was writing his will (of sorts). I think (hope) he was kidding.
But, he sounds pretty sick.
Probably have to wait till after Christmas...
~Amerifred
Jerry, I'm not familiar with Moneynet, but the volume on the OTCBB in the US, will certainly be separate from the German index volume.
~F8
Percywhit,
Mistakes are certainly understandable (& welcome to me, as you can see).
I used to head up a stock message board a few years ago that had some serious biotech subject matter.
On Friday nights & holidays, I used to lighten the mood with Fred's Follies.
This being a pretty serious subject here, I thought I'd test the folly water.
For the record, I'm long CYGX, and had some good luck in the past with GERN & CRA. I wrote a paper entitled, "DNA, In Cells & In Life", that won the LI Science Fair back when I was in school. I truly marvel at the changes & advancements since I was in college (which isn't quite a really long time ago, I believe).
OK, that's enough serious stuff (for now).
Best, F8
Hawk, That's funny. They are all around me, but I am not pulling your leg.
I'm still trying to get used to Burdines - The Florida Store, if that tells you anything.
Coach Real Estate is the closest I can identify with...
Wellington Green is pretty new, and I think that would be the closest one. Palm Beach is right near my parents.
Well(ington), what can I tell you?
~Fred, sometimes first class, but no Coach (yet)
You're excused Mr. Martin....
Now, c'mon back & graduate.
(Hope you have a sense of humor.) :)
~Prof. Fred
Ron, Don't read this post...
What did I tell you, now it's too late...there's the ad (maybe you got lucky & it's a different one...maybe not).
Kinda looks Yahooish, even though I have not been there in a dog's age (one older than Rocky, I believe).
~Fideli...er, I mean, Fred
Christmas Wish List:
1. People realize the stock symbol here is CYGX (not GYGX), and actually more become aware of the company.
2. People realize you cannot have a list of 1...
Just joking with ya.
~Happy Holidaze, F8
Sounds like alot of pumpin' & dumpin' to me, hehe.
Where?
Edit: OK, got PM. Thank you. EM on the way.
Hawk, I guess I have been very fortunate to never have purchased any of my brief cases.
My older cousin had alot of faith in me & purchased some really nice ones for me when I started college. Thereafter, every company I worked for, supplied me with briefs, binders, & leather pouches.
I could give you some, but, sorry, I still am not familiar with Coach.
~F8
I'm OK too ATM...
(Of course, I'm in S.FL, and the fault lines don't quite extend this far.) :-/
Hope there wasn't too much damage.
~F6.5
Matt,
That's better. Now it's not messing up the header info., or scrambling the post as much.
Now, go enjoy them slopes (& the ones with the snow on them as well). :)
Aspen Away, F8
Liz, Yup, that was me in the wall. :) eom
I felt it...6.4...:) eom
No, I am not trying to sell Fidelity Investments...
This new ad format is a little intrusive.
Things have been a little shakey around here lately. I hope iHub is not getting overrun with new posters and, subsequently, tech./vol./ad problems. Let's hope they can keep a handle on it & not deteriorate like many previous boards...
~Fingers Crossed Fred
Hawk, OK, I guess Coach is some kind of retailer that I am not familiar with...(not in the areas of NY or FL that I have lived in anyway).
No snow needed, but thanks for offering...
I think the last snow down here was in 1996. It snowed during the night, but was all gone by early morning.
I do wonder how the orange groves are doing when we have these odd, cold nights in a row. I think they put coats on them. :)
Btw, what does Coach sell?
~Fred, the red-nosed reindeer
Methinks you're right Hawk. (Couch?)
I ate out for lunch. Does that count?
DOW up, Grasso down.
~Fred over
Hawk, Had a bid for HEC @ .65. Did not get it...
La La La, missed a double (so far)...
Don't ya hate when that happens!
Good Luck (looks good to 1.50, imho)
~F8
Hawk, Yes sir, thank you. When I stop thinking about the weather, that's when I know it's good.
Back to shorts (clothes, not stocks), short sleeves, & sunshine.
Now, what's the market temperature...
~F8~
Hawk, Thank you (that's what I thought) & Great weekend to you & all.
~Fred out
Hawk, What was ATRM's pps when we first spoke about it (if you remember)?
We've warmed up to a balmy 64, but back to 40 again tonight. Maybe a beige Christmas coming (not quite white, that is).
:)
Hawk, Thank goodness. eom
Hawk/GOAM, Fwiw, I would not want to be holding it right now.
Financing, but quite a bit of dilution. Maybe opportunity after the drop, but does not look too good right now.
Good Luck (if in), F8
Edit: What's with all the news items coming out on GOAM. Getting scarier, I think, IMHO.
AntiqueLiz, Thank you. I will relay that to my dad when we celebrate tonight (& I'm sure he will thank you as well).
Didn't know they built homes in the 1600's (j/k).
What was it made out of? In Germany? Did it have running water?
Spooks? Some history in that house, eh?
~21st Century Fred
Marcos, Wow, let's see, I have a newspaper from the 1960's (Special Ed. of the Kennedy assassination), a Magnus Chord Organ, and some coins from the 1800's.
Not exactly vintage antiques, lol.
But, I will get some from my parents, that's if they (ever) pass on before I do...items from their parents (100-yr.old tables, lamps, & other furnishings).
Btw, today is my dad's birthday (how old do you have to be, to be an antique?). ;)
~Fred, son of Fred
Aha, OK, I can see that. What's the oldest item you ever bought or sold?
