No, try again. This is a contract which will have many purchase orders. And this is for 5 years.
The next contract will be the one that UNDT bid on via Emergency-911. We should get an answer pretty soon on that one as per UNDT.
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Universal Detection Technology (http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=sma... (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced today that it has received a purchase order for its radiation detection equipment from the United States Air Force. The purchase order is the first from UNDT’s listing on the GSA Schedule.
Under this contract, federal, state and local government agencies that have access to the GSA Schedules Contract program can contract directly with UNDT for all of their detection needs. Universal Detection's products are listed on GSA Schedule GS-07F-0106V for equipment used in the detection of radiation detection equipment as well as biological weapons such as anthrax, ricin, botulinum and plague.
To be an approved supplier under a GSA schedule, the vendor must go through an arduous application process. Negotiating fair and reasonable prices for the products or services to be delivered is the most important aspect of the application process. The GSA schedule is one of the most simplified and widely accepted government contract vehicles available to procurement officers. GSA schedule is a five-year contract that lists the prices the federal government has agreed to pay for a vendor's commercial products and services. The contract may be renewed for three five-year periods, resulting in a 20-year contract if all renewals are executed.
“This purchase order from the Air Force is a milestone for Universal Detection Technology, as this is the first contract received from UNDT’s listing on the GSA Schedules program,” said Jacques Tizabi, Universal Detection Technology’s CEO. “Through our open accessibility via the GSA Schedule, we are confident UNDT will be able to deliver the equipment and services that government procurement officers are looking for in a CBRN detection supplier.”
