did the career thing long enough.

mojo...thanks a pantload for that wonderful news.
considering how BTK did today, should we be happy?
cheynew...
there is no chance the cfo is getting replaced over the stock performance. that would suggest that he has something to do with the financing decisions, which would appear to be a ludicrous assumption given the track record and longevity of the untouchable Board buddies.
he's the cfo because they have to give somebody the title.
seems to me that the market is telling pphm "enough, already...show us partner funding and then maybe we'll invest"
the Morning Report had an interesting disclosure we need to speculate about!
expect or intend to do more with peregrine within the next 3 months....YES
so what will they do? buy some shares for $.80 ea?
Dog....
i would guess that most people here appreciate your latest recap...and would be comfortable that you're right on...if it weren't for the track record of the BOD.
Let's all hope they wake up and smell the coffee soon....
i'm not mad, though...it probably saved me vs. what i can get it for tomorrow....
well...it closes at $1.12 and my order didn't fill after sitting there for half of the afternoon and a couple hundred thousand shares....perhaps orders were filling somebody's large order at those prices.
nice, level playing field we have here....
HA! I did it! I scared them up with my order at $1.12! You're welcome.
i don't think we're going much lower...
1.10 is not the all-time low when adjusted for dilution.
who can pull up what our lowest market cap has been int he past 5 years or so? that would be more relevant than share price....
my buy didn't fill :(
i must be nuts
the folks who bought at $1.11 must be thrilled.
wonder when CJ,Keep Trying, and lafont will sell and leave this board
where the heck did that bus come from?
finally did it when they called again a few minutes ago. voted no on everything. while everything will certainly pass again, i hope enough people will vote no so they'll know we're upset that they're making money (for more than 10 years now) while we're not. it shouldn't be all or nothing for us, and they should be attempting to move the value of the company in the marketplace.
it makes sense for the BOD not to buy it here if know it's getting diluted 2 or 3 more times before a partner gets in....
jess...no need to split hairs.
for purposes of my post, anybody connected with pphm is biased, anybody not connected with them or any other similar company is potentially unbiased. whether there can be any experts in the latter category is a question for a different board, yes?
doc... all the naysayers focus on the finances, which, on the surface, has been very justifiable to date.
at the same time, there certainly haven't been any medical experts who have doubted that the science is good enough to have the potential to be commercially successful upon the completion of one good trial after another... (unfortunately, no unbiased scientific experts have come out and expressed confidence that it WOULD be a commercial success, either)
at any rate, in the absence of negative scientific data as we go down a planned drug trial path, and in recognition of the less-than-transparent motives of the BOD, yeah, i do suspect the share price has been being managed at various times over several years...with the knowledge of insiders, whether they are parties to it or not.
that 'respected market mind' wasn't referring to stocks that are being....manipulated. such stocks are exempt from the normal rules.
very unusual. although there have been no trades, the early bid is above yesterday's close.
i'm hangin' in there. haven't sold anything in over a year cuz i'm a dope. i have added a few times during that period, the last time was at 1.50...so i was a dope then, too. am i a dope for not buying today?
so we finally have a non-negative report, and we're still down 2x the market. sweet.
no it's not...you gotta add in the new $7 mil that was raised after that period closed
"unencumbered pipeline"
i don't recall seeing that in print previously. did they pay off the loan?
could be yet another case of some folks getting back in just in case they actually do have something to say friday that might generate an upward price move. nobody who watches this stock wants to be out if/when it moves...
been an awfully long time since one of those buys paid off in conjunction with a scheduled report...
they're just messin' with us
CP...i sure hope you've got it covered..
CP.. unless they tell us why they needed 6 mil right away vs getting it through the atm at somewhat better pricing in the future, the conspiracy is that the "institutions" (if you want to call MLV one) get $400,000 in fees AND below-market price shares.. for doing what, exactly?
isn't the "what" pretty important here?
it's not unfair for shareholders to expect to know how this is supposed be working... the BOD might have a good plan, but there isn't any evidence of it at the moment since they continue to dilute off lower and lower base prices....
considering how small this transaction is on the whole scheme of things, it doesn't make an awful lot of sense to do it on the surface unless this move is just for short term operating cash till we get an expected big pop in a near-term timeframe... i'm hoping that's it, but not counting on it
before the bell reporting is very different. are they making sure the market has all day to take the stock up, or all day to work through another plunge going into a weekend?
place your bets
i've not been one to trash the BOD, historically. Now, however, I am very tempted to assume that they keep dancing with these slimey people because legitimate IBs/institutions won't touch them because of the BOD.
i hope they prove me wrong by pulling a rabbit out of a hat over the next few months, but i'm not counting on it.
the only thing i'm sure of is that i'm a lot farther from break-even than i used to be, and diluting further essentially at the lows is the worst they can do to me.
can anybody explain why they need this much cash now at 1.11 vs dribbling the atm at 1.40 for fewer shares over a month or so? is this just so their buddies, mlv et al, can make a quick 20-100%?
on the surface, it sure makes them all look like crooks.
can one of you pro or semi-pro traders offer an opinion on what the upward moves recently mean when the price is almost immediately pulled back down? there wasn't enough volume for it to be the atm in most cases.... is it day traders, mm's, programs? what does it smell like?
this upcoming conference may be the most legitimate one PPHM will have attended. this outfit is a playa
if only it were JPM Securities....
20.7 months, and we'll be in the $1.20s in 5 minutes
if we announced a cure for cancer, we'd still go down.
what a surprise to have closed at the low of the day! i'm shocked! and at a steeper percentage loss than nasdaq, even! oh, my!
quite of display of capitalism at work
pretty funny.
