Yes! But impatient traders won't. They'd rather make a few pennies now than wait for the big haul that will come later.
Post #4201 is a misleading post! There are no more sharks here than in any other "pond". On the contrary, HPGS is run by people who have loads of experience in their field and hefty past successes to their credit. Also, excellent location, very good and growing assets and revenue streams. So take your scare-mongering somewhere else.
Thank you Immie.
What is AABA? (i sure wish peeps would speak in plain English on these boards)!
Greatly improved earnings should make pps climb fast when the report is out. Also, confirmation of completing the deal they are making now (i forget its name, sorry).
THIS IS THE HPGS BOARD! PLEASE DON'T DISCUSS OTHER STOCKS HERE!
Was $1.45 in June. Can it get there again? There's a lot more revenue and revenue streams now and much less debt (possibly no debt now). And they are servicing the $$$$$$ Bakken wells.
That was in exchange for debt cancellation. So far as I know.
When is next earnings report?
I remember when it was $1.45 (during last promotion) and i got out then, fortunately. But i'm way in again now. Have no idea if it can go to $1.10 range (where it was before the promo). Anyone's thoughts about this?
Thanks for posting the info, Blue!
Could you please be more specific. Like, what news? And oil is up but is natural gas?
This is great. Anyone know what is fueling the quick rise? (not just short-covering, i hope)...
I don't know about cheerleaders. Nevertheless, i do think the stock is undervalued and that it will, indeed, go back up to previous levels or at minimum near $1.00.
If there are shorts, they will have to cover. Right?
If "pd. pump" means "paid pump", there were 2 penny stock newsletters recommending hpgs last Spring. I forget the dates. They definitely pushed up the pps. See my earlier posts for info on the company over the past year. There were some problems, that have since been corrected. Company is doing very good things now and I expect them to be successful with much higher price.
I no longer remember exactly why the Huber deal fell through but it did. (Call the company and ask why or find it in reports or on the yahoo board). That is what caused the sudden dramatic drop in pps from the 1.40 range down to .05. The Huber deal was on the verge of closing, everyone was waiting for it to close and assuming it would, but it did not and immediately the pps dropped precipitously down down down.
Since then, the company has turned itself around, instituting many changes, including new CEO, getting rid of predatory lender, getting out of debt, starting various revenue streams and many other good things. That's why now we are once again on an upwards course.
I'm not sure what you mean in saying HPGS "has finalized Hubert deal and waiting on details of operations."
I just spoke to the company to be sure and the Huber deal is definitely not happening. That was established several months ago.
Only safety is being tested for in Phase 1/2 i believe. Any efficacy would just be frosting on the cake.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's another penny stock newsletter promo one of these days. There have been two this year. That would create a lot of attention and rise in pps.
Since ACTC's patented technique for deriving human embryonic stem cells *DOES NOT* destroy the embryo, we are uniquely positioned for govt funding of research within the USA and for patents and commercialization within both the USA and Europe.
Hope you are right!
I don't quite understand what you are asking. Do you mean: if there is vision improvement even in these late-stage patients, would there still have to be further trials with early-stage patients? My understanding is that all the planned trial phases have to take place in order to get FDA approval for commercialization/treatment. Trials would be stopped only if some safety issue showed up. Clearly, that has not happened. On the contrary, Gary has clearly indicated that results have been excellent beyond their expectations but that he's not allowed to tell us any specifics.
I'm not completely certain of this, but I seem to recall reading that: these first trials are working with patients who have advanced retinal disease. So, these trials are only for safety and no one expects vision improvement in these patients. Then, if all goes well regarding safety in the first trials, the next ones will work with patients at an earlier stage of disease progression, where there's a better chance to halt the disease progression and possibly even to reverse some of the effects, thereby creating vision improvement. The hope is that if the treatment is started soon enough, disease can be stopped in its tracks before there is any damage at all.
I see. Thanks.
What do you mean "Looks like the MM are not taking any chances that the stock might get away from them."
In your opinion, do they want to hold the price down? and if so, why?
As shareholders, what can we do to be sure ACTC doesn't get involved wit China? (at least not sharing any crucial info with China)? A mass petition from us or what? a day when we all write them? Surely they are aware of the huge risk of intellectual property being stolen???
I answered that question in my previous post, # 3622 (see below) and also stated why I think it should now go up. But the reasons it should go up have been true for awhile so that doesn't explain the suddenness of the rise and the volume.
Excerpted from previous post:
If you consider why it suddenly dropped, that makes sense. As I said in an earlier post, the drop was due to the Huber deal falling through (that had been long expected, and would have generated a bunch of revenue and which cost the company several million dollars in real cash), and was also due to a predatory lender who dumped a gazillion shares for a ridiculously low price.
In any case, the company has done many good things since those unfortunate events, including diversifying into becoming an important maintenance/support company for all the other drillers in the region.
Any idea what's driving this sudden run?
Agreed that it should rise back up, maybe not to historic levels right away, but at least above $1.00.

On the other hand, the high from about 1.10--1.48 was due to a penny stock promotion (based on expectation of Huber deal successful acquisition).

Even if not officially "buys", it still indicates they have a lot of confidence in the company if they would take shares instead of cash, right?
"High of over a dollar" : highest point in recent history was either $1.45 or maybe even $1.48
At what price?
I think--could be wrong here--that only the silk-making apparatus has been genetically modified, not the whole critter.
New idea: How about investing in the company instead of treating this like a casino?
Trading.jeff, thanks for info wrt "bid whack"! eom
I don't know for sure either way but I have read on various different message boards that locking your shares up at high sell prices protects them from being borrowed for shorting.
What do you mean? In plain English, not trader jargon, please!
Do you or anyone else seriously think the pps is worth $81??? I was hoping for something over $1.50 but $81 is a stretch. On what grounds is it worth that much? Or maybe you mean in a few years?
I've read that if you put in a sell order for a high price (like, over a dollar where we want this to go), that those shares can not be used to lend to anyone who wants to short the shares. (except for illegal naked shorting, which we can't control, unfortunately).
Maybe the toxin could be synthesized and added to other possible foods?
