The overburden.
from the FR
The Bo sample (BO/CON) is concentrate from 2 hours of dredging upper level sand close to the shore
John Called ME just now and we talked for over half an hour. What a stand up guy he is! He read my e-mail (I posted it here this morning) and wanted to call and answer my questions and treat me with respect because it looked like what I had to say was well thought out.
Pro-truck was right when he said that Diamonds are controlled by the Lebanese and that it is next to impossible to get any changes to this. Also, the sale of diamonds doesn’t employ a lot of locals like farming does. If we were to find a very large diamond, then sure, we might then try to get an export license (extremely expense) and get it out.
Are we dredging gravel yet? YES, in some areas, others are very close. His last update from Doug was Saturday and all dredges MAY be in gravel now, but not confirmed yet. Part of the problem is that the river deposits fresh sand overnight over the last days dredging area so the first part of the day is spent removing last nights deposits.
Do we have 6 more dredges from more JV's considering joining us? YES. They are waiting to hear from the one JV dredge we have now to see how well he does. He is doing well and feels safe and should be giving a good report to his friends that are probably going to join us next season.
It sounds to me like we have SO much mining areas that we could be mining virgin areas for the next 20 years with 30 dredges.... YES, that's true. That is why Doug concentrated on securing as many areas as possible early in the game. We pay rent on some areas just to keep other mining interest (China and others) from going there.
I asked about our discussion over the FR and the 170 g/ton clarification. It was 170 grams per ton of concentrate. He said that is really small, but gold is there. The gold in the overburden isn’t where we are concentrating our efforts. It would take several dredges a couple of days to produce a ton of concentrate, so don’t get thrown off by that 170 grams. It’s the gravel where the gold is and where we are going.
We talked about all the good things SGCP is doing for the locals and that Doug and John always bring lot of clothes and supplies with them to give away. Doug and John sometimes are the very first white people that have visited some of these villages. He has big plans for the expansion of the agriculture. I won’t disclose the number because I don’t think John was ready for that to be public, but the number of acres he is considering farming 3 years from now is HUGE. Think of multiplying the current acreage several times over.
I asked about our becoming profitable this year…. I couldn’t get him to commit to an answer because it hasn’t happened yet, but it sounded like it would be hard for us not to be profitable.
With the profits, is it true that he is planning on buying a smelter? That got him going on a wish list of things he’d like to buy! And yes, a smelter is one of them, along with tractors, harvesters, wash plants, dredges, etc.
I told him how much we appreciated the pictures and asked if he could post some new ones sometime. It didn’t sound like it would happen soon, but now he knows we’d like to see more. Part of the problem is the lack of power and the difficulty to recharge cameras.
I have NO DOUBT that our future looks bright!
GO SGCP!
Charlie
Look at the volume of buys vs sells! 9 buys for every sell! No wonder we are going up!
Thanks Phreshmeat for all that action :)

SGCP and the future of Sierra Leone
yesterday I sent this e-mail to John. It's something to think about for long term.
What do you guys and girls think about starting something like this up?
**********************************
Dear Mr. John Semachko Jr.,
While we are waiting for the next report of production numbers, I was thinking about the future of SGCP and how we can be an even bigger, positive influence on the country of Sierra Leone .
I am aware of the extremely negative influence and lingering bad feelings over ‘Blood Diamonds’ in the recent history of Sierra Leone. However, it seems to me that there is a terrible waste of potential revenue for this poor country by exporting raw diamonds to neighboring countries at a small fraction of their true worth. Just imagine all the good things that could be done with a few million dollars from the profit of diamonds if they were processed from rough raw diamonds to polished and cut gems. How hard would it be to set up a small office in Freetown and have a couple of experienced diamond cutters spend a couple months there processing our largest diamonds. We could motivate them to go there by contracting them to keep a percentage of what they process and then we could donate half of our profit (or whatever seems fair) from this to local charities in Sierra Leon. If this is successful then we could expand by purchasing the raw diamonds from other mining companies within Sierra Leone. Maybe we could even call these “Freedom Diamonds” to give them a more positive appeal.
Wouldn’t that be a great thing to happen for the people of Sierra Leone? I’m thinking of all the food and clothes that could be purchased and distributed along with the schools and medical / dental clinics that could be paid for with this money. I’m sure that there are plenty of charities that could help in the planning and execution of this project. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Bill Clinton Foundation come to mind as possible sources of help in planning and organizing charities within Sierra Leone.
Sincerely,
Charlie
Sagen, wasn't that moon shot staged with OJ?? He died in that one, didn't he?
Boy, it sure is nice when a Should give all the newbies a clue to his motives
www.sierragoldcorp.com web page is down. At least, I'm having problems getting in. I wonder if that is because so many people are checking it out, or is it John doing things to it like adding new things.....
Charlie
Tmob, Thank You for sharing your conversation with John with us!
So now it looks like a few longs want to add on about 5 million more shares.... I'm sure they won't do it all at once or the PPS will creep up before they can get it done.
I've already posted that I wonder how many dredges we can operate on our mining areas.... could we expand to 50 dredges in the next 3 years and STILL be working on virgin stuff?? And what if the gravels really ARE super sweet and we pull out 200,000 oz a season? And once we get 4 or 5 tractors and harvestors working the crops then.....
I almost called John today myself, but I wrote him a nice e-mail instead suggesting ANOTHER form of revenue. I'll share it tomorrow.
Good Nite and Great Job Everyone!
Charlie with 2.6 million shares AND GROWING!
Ok Guys, thanks for trying! What I was seeing was this.....
I looked up a very good article on Serria Leone published in "Dredging Today". It used to be in a posting here, but was deleted so I looked it up on my own. In the article they used a google map of the country of Serria Leone and in the bottom left corner is the date 2011 (but that is just a copywrite). Using that map I was able to zoom into the streets of Bo and the white caps of the river to the south of the town.
just thought it would be a fun thing to do.
Charlie
Hey Gem, PM, B4, Cork, grawsha, Pro-Truck and everyone else.... I CHALLENGE you! If you've got the time (and from the research and videos some of you post it appears you do) try to find one of our Dredges and mining sites using Google Maps.
I tried and could get in to the streets in Bo and could see large rocks and white caps on the river. I don't know where our stuff is, but there is a chance that maybe someone who has an idea of where it is might be able to zoom in on it and post it here.
Wouldn't that be neat to see? A birds eye view of our dredge at work!
Charlie
I like hearing that! 'Advanced Stage'. I've been looking for news on this for over a year now. I'm ready! I'm Ready!
Charlie
Grawsha, you've been posting A LOT about the CC project recently. Do you know of something happening soon? Is that why all os this focused research on Kiri trees and the CC in the last couple days?
I'm hopeful and WOW! wouldn't that do wonders to our PPS!!! In the past news on this has happened when we least expect it, which would be now, wouldn't it.
Charlie
I didn't want to see us stuck on 17 all day..... I had some change so I slapped the ask at 18 for 100k more.
Come on guys! Slap the fanny!
Charlie
I thought it was Phreshmeat
Thank You pro-truck14. You got me thinking and going back to our last FR and reading between the lines.
First of all let me say that I was very concerned about the NV license issue and thought John waited way too long to communicate with us. See, I’m not always loyally positive. Now THAT is behind us and we need to look forward. Way forward!
This last FR had something totally new in it. Something we all KNEW they had, but we’ve never seen before. A Minerals Lab Analysis. Why did John include that in this FR? I think he wanted to show us something and that maybe those of us who can read between the lines can figure it out and be happy with what is about to happen. Remember when it first came out and ALL of us thought that the 170 g/ton was a typo? “Had to be” we all said until someone confirmed that it was indeed 170 g/ton for that sample. John is telling us that this is becoming BIG and us longs are about to become extremely Happy.
Now Pro-Truck, you got me thinking about this in a new light. If we have THIS Minerals Lab Analysis then you KNOW they’ve got lots more. And we have SO MANY MORE AREAS TO TEST!! Does anyone know the size of our concessions or licensed areas for mining? What I’ve been able to look up sounds HUGE to me, and I’m betting that Doug is getting more areas whenever he can.
How much GOLD is in the areas we currently have the rights to mine in? How much river can one dredge process in one season? 1/8 of a mile? Less than that? Maybe B4 and others with mining experience can help answer that question, but I’m thinking that we could be pulling out huge amounts of Gold for decades, and adding 4 or 5 new dredge each year. That’s got to be why we built a dredge manufacturing plant.
I’ve pasted together some of the info from the web site for you to consider….
From the web page http://sierragoldcorp.com/property.php
I believe this info is probably a couple years old…. But look at what is there!
Zimmi: The Mano river consists of a 20 mile long river concession that runs southwest to the Atlantic Ocean. Recently SGCP obtained 36 patented claims throughout a 27 mile area between the Mano and Mowa River.
I’ll skip Pampana
Sewa River consists of two concessions in the Bo district near the town of Gondoma. Sewa 1 is a one sq/mi river concession located one mile south of Gondoma
And from an old field report….
Field report: December 17, 2009
SGCP was assigned a significant new mining area previously unavailable to outside interest and have commenced licensing process in order to commence mining operations in January.
( there is no mention of just how big this new area is, just that it is ‘significant’)
So now we are set up in Wyoming for better taxes, and just in time for our first really significant production report. Maybe it’s time we stop calling each other names and just be happy to be able to purchase more shares at this great price. Once it pops I don’t think that it’ll ever be coming back.
And once again I ask that we try to look 5 and 10 years into the future and imagine what the PPS will be by then. Doug and John aren’t lairs cheats or thieves. They are good men doing great things in an extremely poor country. For now, I’ll continue to trust them.
Charlie
Thanks Soldier!
I was looking in here for some intelligent interpretation of the PR, and you're it! Good Job
Charlie
I think that the delution days are over! Now that they don't have to worry about taxes I think that they'll be selling plenty of gold abd diamonds making delution a thing of the past. Tomorrow morning could be your last best hope of cheapies.
Charlie
You got me cracking up Buddy!
All that info and no where to go....
I'll stay probablyDumb about charts and stick to my gut.
It's big and I know where it is!
Rub the Buddha for luck, girls! Put your ear on it and it'll tell you a story 'bout a man named Jed.
Look at todays volume of buyers vs sellers!
4,564,421 buys vs. 625,500 sells
put THAT in your chart and smoke it :)
Connect THOSE dots Baby!!!! lol
Right On Austin!!
I've often wondered why SGCP doesn't seem to want to self promote. It's frustrating but I'm sticking it out.
I have to agree with your version of a game plan that they MAY be following....
1. get the gold
2. get the money.
3. buy back the shares while it is still low.
then....
4. Promote the company and all us longs will enjoy the reward for waiting.....
If I look at this as a motovation for their lack of PR's, then it makes sense and gives me hope to continue buying when I can afford to. I added 100k more shares this morning!
EVERYONE should be adding as I see the 18's are comin'!
Charlie
Now EVERYBODY SING!!!
Quit your whinnin' and Start some Buyin'
This is good and I aint lying
Gonna go to heaven where I'm told
Streets are gonna be paved with MY GOLD!
They said it was
and now it is!
SO let's all get on
to the buyin' biz
get it now while it is cheap
Price will jump it will not creep!
kum kum... kumbaya baby (kind of a rap)
IT's OFFICIAL!!! Wyoming SOS LISTS SGCP!!!!
Check out the web site for yourself!
https://wyobiz.wy.gov/Business/FilingSearch.aspx
We are NOW a WYOMING BUSINESS
KUMBAYA GOLD, Kumbaya!
Charlie
Good Post Penny's! if anything, all of us LONGS should hold a revival meeting around a campfire, sing Kumbaya and pray to the Lord Gold that will soon come to us and change ALL of our lives....
it WILL come, I can feel it. I CAN FEEL IT!!!! Let's ALL raise our hands to the warmth and give each other a big hug!
It didn't sound like 'next year' to me. It sounded more like right now and in the next couple of months.
from the PR
**********
Based on more normal weather in 2011, first quarter GOLD'n GRO sales, which are boosted by filling orders received in late December 2010 and early January 2011, could increase by 50 percent in the first quarter 2011 compared to the same period in 2010. Full year GOLD'n GRO sales are expected to increase significantly over 2010, with the possibility for a 50 percent increase for the entire year.
First quarter silver sales are expected to be up 300 percent compared to 2010.
**********
sounds upbeat to me.
GLTA
I didn't think it was a joke, pho... I thought it showed good potiential with the company and expanding sales opportunities in more states. The problems with weather and distribution.
The comparisions to last years numbers were disapointing, but I understood their explanation.
That buy showing up as 109 sh is me. I actually bought 125 but 109 is only showing up.
charlie
What does level 2 look like??
I might put my money where my mouth is an buy a few at 18 just to move it up a tick and get a little more padding.....
Charlie
Look at that volume.... 1,999,998! Someone IS screwing with us. Let the games begin.
Gentlemen... start your dredges.
I Just Did It!!!
I put my shares up for sale..... for $3.47.
Why that amount? Just to screw with them.
Charlie
B4 and PNumb, mi amigos!
Yes, I am a hopeful and anxious guy and wish that SGCP did a better job explaining and promoting itself. That's not asking for a pump and dump, but a return on investment.
I'm thinking that the sample CAME from a ton of concentrate that took the dredge 2 hours to produce. The volume of a ton would probably fit in the back of my pick-up truck. From that they took a few pounds to analyze and did the math to figure that the sample contained 170 grams per ton of concentrate.
That's all I was saying. Of course, no one really knows what they've got out of the rivers so far but it seems like they are at least hinting to us that it's gonna be a big number!
My best guess is that they are keeping all production reports to themselves until the license is officially moved to Wyoming.
Finally this company is making enough money to be worried about the amount of taxes they'll be paying.... What a nice problem to have!
Charlie
B4, I thought it was clear....
it was a 2 hour run on a dredge that produced the sample. TO me, that means for that area we might expect 170 grams per 2 hours
170 x 3 (6 hour day) = 510 grams per dredge per day.
510 / 28 (ball park for ounce) = 18 oz per day.
That still sounds pretty good to me.
Charlie
iyates, When I talked with John a couple of months ago, he told me that we get close to spot price for our gold.
I am very surprised that no one has called John or Doug to ask if that was a typo of 170 and should have been 1.70.... or maybe someone has and they just haven't shared it with the board.
I have to get ready for work, so it can't be me.
GREAT FR, but I'm still disappointed that they play their cards so close to the chest when it comes to stating production numbers. We all know that they have numbers already from Nov 1st to now but they don't share it with us on any level. Sure wish they would.
Someone please call and share about the typo...
Charlie
Field report February 9, 2011
Administration
Sierra Gold Corp is in the process of changing its domicile to Wyoming from Nevada. The decision to change was based on the fact that Wyoming offers a more favourable tax advantage compared to Nevada. To achieve this in an orderly manner, the corporation was required to end its relationship with Nevada prior to filing the proper paper work with the State of Wyoming. This has now been completed and all paper work has been filed by our attorneys with the Wyoming Secretary of State pursuant to W.S. 17-16-1710 of the Wyoming Business Corporation Act.
Mining Operations
Sierra Gold Corp presently has 4 dredges in operation with the 5th dredge expected to be up and running in its' area of interest by mid February. 2 dredges are located in the Bo district and 2 dredges are located in the Zimmi district with 1 more dredge to follow.
Our new J.V. partner arrived the end of January and has been operational since the first of February.
Due to the late end of the rainy season we where unable to start operations as soon as we would have liked. This being said, we have made significant progress in both moving the dredges from the shore to the target areas of interest. And have begun processing the overburden to get to the gravel. The gravel above the bedrock is where you normally will find higher gold grades along with any other associated valuable minerals.
Below are the results of SGS Minerals lab analysis of sand and surface samples taken from the Bo and Zimmi districts. The Bo sample (BO/CON) is concentrate from 2 hours of dredging upper level sand close to the shore. The Zimmi sample (Znew Hand) is from a hand grab sample on the shore line.
CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS - Final Report
Doug Evans will be leaving for Sierra Leone February 15th and will return the middle to end of March. Upon his return we will Press release 1st quarter production numbers.
Agriculture
All crops (rice, sorghum, corn and peanuts) have now been harvested from the 1800 acres planted. In addition, the company has received the proceeds from the numerous farmers who participated in its loan programs. Preparations are under way for the upcoming farming season.
What are the possibilities?
I KNOW that one of them can’t be that this is a scam. I lost my butt last year in other pink sheet stocks that WERE scams and modern day snake oil salesmen, and I’m positive that John and Doug are not in that category. There is NO WAY I can see them being liars, cheats, and thieves.
It IS still possible that they are acquiring a new business license in Wyoming, but I keep checking the Wyoming web site and we still aren’t there. Within the site it says that it takes about 3 - 5 days to become listed once the forms are sent in. I don’t understand our delay, but I still believe that this is a possibility.
I don’t think that we’ll see a PR about production numbers until the business license issue has been resolved and can be explained.
How about a merger of some type? I remember seeing a web site that listed our carbon credit project along several others and the status of ours was “project for sale”. Could we be selling off SL1, or combining resources with another company? Maybe this has gotten so large so quickly that John and Doug need the help of another company. Maybe it is the same company has the JV announced for an additional dredge???
Any thoughts about a possible merger?
Charlie
Yep! And who ever sold them would have sold them with or without my buy order. Someone had to get them, might as well be me me me!
Got my 16's! Thank you to who ever decided to bail right before our big day!
When is that, BTW? Could it be today?
Proprelynumb, thanks for the info, but I don't even know what "Accumulation/Distribution" means. I guess that makes me ProperlyDumb. j/k :) Is the A/D some kind of value assigned to the number of people holding the stock and their average price??
Charlie
Slob, I used to agree with you about buying stock at the ask and not being a bid-sitter or even lower than that. Then I heard (from here) of several people that got these great deals because they were patient enough to wait for them.
I do not believe that my purchase will have ANY affect on the PPS for more than 2 minutes, if that. Several of my past purchases have been at the ask, moved the price up a tick, only to have it knocked down again within 5 minutes. What good did THAT do???
The only thing that is going to have any lasting affect on the PPS is NEWS. A PR, FR, or the lack of any communication at all will move it up or down, not little 'ol me.
What I, and others, can be is speed bumps. If some foolish investors gets chicken and tries to sell, then these orders can absorb the blow and help keep us from going down to triple zeros.
Everyone plays out their own strategy
Charlie
Suggestions for bashing???
Shall we walk on the dark side for a while BB?
We can start a few rumours about Egypt riots influencing Sierra Leon to start it's own revolution and they have taken our dredges and sunk them in deep water. All of our workers have fled to the mountains for safety. Doug was held up by bandits on his way to sell our gold and now we have none.... and those winds are a blownin' the wrong way again....
NONE of the above is true to the best of my knowledge and of course, not my own opinion at all.
I'm still trying for 16's.
Smilin' Charlie
I tried for some of those 16's late in the day, but I missed!!
Maybe tomorrow someone will sell me some..... hopefully BEFORE any PR comes out! If a PR comes out and I miss again, then I'll just adjust my price and Qty and STILL be happy :)
It's a 'no lose - big win' situation!
Charlie
Another question from your resident rookie....
To get a business license in a state, don't you have to have an office in that state? Or a post office box for mail, or at least conduct some kind of business there?
Since we are all just waiting... is there any way for us to search for new mailing addresses for SGCP? It could be another way for us to confirm a move to Wyoming.
Charlie
