Art35, do not know the protocol but if you can, PM me your email.

Timberliner, No matter what country you are in, the movement, storage and quantities of the valuables you have would not be common knowledge.
Sierra Leone is a 3rd world country with all the problems that it brings. The fact that sney are able to operate, and have been doing so for 3 yrs is a credit to them, they seem to have decided to invest in the local communities and get thier backing and this tells me they doing things the correct way. If they are looking to get listed then there must be no repercussions.
I have known delagations of full communities travel to Freetown to support mining companies, who have refused to pay KOLA and had thier position threatened by some government official.
Hope this helps
Dredgemaster
Risk, I do not recognise any of the places in the film Blood Diamond and do not believe it was filmed in Sierra Leone.
LOOks to me like South Africa and Mozambique, Mapunto, Definately not Sierra Leone, Have travelled to nearly all the places mentioned in this film and there is No similarity.
Especialy the Beach Bar, nothing like an ice cold beer to let you know you are back in civilisation after being up line for 3 months.
Dredgemaster
Well said and common sense prevails.
Dredgemaster
Timberliner, TIMING. I believe the best time anounce anything is, WHEN YOU HAVE SHIPPED IT.
I do not know sneys intentions, but I think I would like to tell people what I had and not what was stolen.
When they have the amount they want to ship. They should ,and can, go through the process in 48hrs.
Dredgemaster
Fact is often better than fiction and always preferable, they are 10 years out of the war now.
Now if you want to know about The Congo!
Dredgemaster
Has anyone checked to see how Quickly Jnr Mining Co get swallowed up by the big players in SL. It may look as though a company has held a concession for years but the facts are they just come under the umbrella of another bigger company.
Then I am Looking for work again, but usualy glad of the rest.
DRedgemaster
No, its not that bad, the Locals will protect thier interests.
If you know the Northern Comander in Makeni, then the Police angle is covered.
Moving your valuable minerals to Freetown can be a problem and requires attention to detail. I think there are still 3 road checkpoints to go through.
Most robberies are carried out by crooks dressed in Police Uniforms.
Loose Lips Sink Ships!
They have 3 years experience over there and should know most of this. The level of security should be determined by the risk.
Biggest losses will come frome local theft! Fuel, parts etc:
We spend 8hrs a day trying to find ways to stop them.
They spend 24hrs a day finding new ways.
Employ and train your own security. keep it in house.
Hope this helps.
Dredgemaster
Rainmaker, I was trying to be diplomatic, but I think you said it better than me. New schools will be wanted, along with a Hospital, etc: etc: etc:
Dredgemaster
Antbear, I worked for several companies over there, If I said that Peter Hambro invested £2.5mil in one of them on the results I achieved, it may give you some Idea.
The amount varied on river and location and it was not my position to keep account of this.
As said in previous posts you should look to achieve 4 to 10gr per ton when you have explored and mapped your cncession and have a good team.
Dredgemaster
Reporting: There is a fine line on information you could give out at the stage of opperations that this company is in.
WHY?
The in country costs would soar at a time when expenditure needs to be kept under control.
There is no other way to say this.
If you anounce that you have now found a huge amount of minerals, then you would have to be prepare to dig deep into your pocket to keep the, Government, Chiefs, Locals etc: HAPPY.
TIMING is ALL important.
Reading this board I do UNDERSTAND the frustration.
EVERY MINING COMPANY is closely monitored by the Government in SL.
If this company has not seen fit to give updates at THIS time, then it could have some very GOOD reasons.
JMHO
Dredgemaster
Thanks for that, if you want that kind of information you know the route to take.
Dredgemaster
IMO you are correct with organisational skills.
Acceptance is down to the individual.
Project delays are inevitable until a system of works and a method of opperation are firmly established.
After all if it was EASY Gold would still be at $350 an oz
The 3 years in SL will stand them in good stead.
Dredgemaster
No. It is used to BLAST away the top soil, etc: and liqify the sands and gravel so it can be processed by the dredge.
Sorry, but I find it easier to DO than explain. Look Up Hydraulic Mining, there might be a better explanation there. but bear in mind using the dredge is SMALL scale.
Hope this helps
Dredgemaster
This is the only time they are accessable for the dredge as they are dry river beds in the dry season.
In the wet season you would also terrace the dry land and you could have prepared bays for the dredge to work in as well.
For a week or two prior to August I would stockpile No 5 sands and Gravel and wash this in the 2 weeks of verry wet weather they get there.
You learn from the locals as they have a lot to offer.
Dredgemaster
If I was dredgeing and came to a small tributary that was RICH,then I am certainly going to explore up that tributary and see if the source is coming that way. There are very many tributarys runing into the Pampana, in the dry season the dredge can not get to them, How do people think the gold gets into the river? Most gold you find in Pampana is rounded because it has travelled some distance. The flater it is the less distance it has travelled. IF you find gold with quartz attached then it has NOT travelled far at all.
Hope this helps.
Dredgemaster
H Snow, If you take a look at the Pampana river, it is like a snake. When the river is flowing fast, there are plenty of slack water locations ( usualy good for Gold for obvious reasons)where the dredge can work in the wet season.
The dredge is primarily a water born processing plant, however it has components that you can utilise. Hydraulic the overburden on land by using the pump and a fire hose attachment, then dredge the sands and gravel, slowly moving inland. This is what you do when you come to a particularly RICH area and want to follow the gold. Where you take the sands and gravel from fills up with water and you move the dredge further in land.
Hope I have explained this without being to obscure.
Dredgemaster
If the company knows what it is doing then it will be terracing, and banking as well as dredging, but this all takes MONEY.
You can also modify easily so that you can use these kind of dredges on land.
Best way is to prepare land in dry season into bays so that you can actualy work INTO the land from the river.
Hope this helps but as I said before This kind of dredge is very versatile in the right hands.
Dredgemaster
They have had 3 wet seasons to gain the experience.
Fuel, as of this date is $4.12 per gal and there are no shortages.
Dredgemaster
Thank you sir and the compliments of the season
Dredgemaster
I am ignorant of the importance of PAPERWORK for stocks. From an OUTSIDERS point of view, If you have something bad to say dont say anything. IF you have something good to say, then timing is ALL important.
If this company ANOUNCES that The dredgeing program has exceeded expectations, then the results of that, in country, would incur ADDITIONAL OPPERATING COSTS. They have been ther 3 years I believe? and should be advancing at a pace that will benifit the company and not the government.
Hope this helps
Dredgemaster
EXACTLY MY POINT. If you have the ability to find out everything about everything on the internet then how BOREING would life be.
My friend told me this! The Priest says that! DREDGEMASTER says this!
WHAT YOU GONA DO GHOSTBUSTER?
True DD costs MONEY.
SPEND MONEY AND GET TRUE DD.
Dredgemaster
Raingawd, with reference to the company, and actual DD on them, I have no IDEA.
With reference to Dredgeing, The Area, The Pampana River and Gold there, Capacities that a Dredge can throughput. The weather, the environment. All I have stated is FIRST HAND, having mined for over 42 yrs and 15 of those in SL.
HOW MUCH DD WAS DONE ON BERNI MAYDOF?
Dredgemaster
Happy Easter, I no die yeto as they say in SL.
Dredgemaster
FYO, If interested.
Its Easter in SL as well. Muslim or Christian, the public and ethnic holidays apply to all.
Dont expect much to happen for a few days.
Dredgemaster
They , IMO know what they are doing and IMO will use the equipment in the most cost efective way.
Operating costs will be a factor, however you want to cut the cake,
It seems to me, that to ensure you are producing from proven areas is more important than just running the dredges to have a tonage throughput. People need to be patient and need to know about AFRIKA TIME.
Dredgemaster
daggfish, I dont mind you quoteing me but you should read the full post.
I believe I said IN 2005 I would not get out of bed unless I was looking at 4 to 10gr per ton.
With the PRICE OF GOLD NOW and the statement of 1 to 18gr per ton I dont think I would want to go to bed.
Perhaps you could clarify? I believe in 40 acres the estimated reserves of 500,000oz was stated. Now they have 140 acres ?
Dredgemaster
rrss44, Most of your assumptions are good, please factot in:
3 years previous exploration on 40 acre site.
NEW 100 acre site to explore, map etc:
Number of Dredges NOW and how to deploy them now that concession is 140 acres.
You Know you cant rush a good thing
Dredgemaster
Rainmaker, reference my previous post,(would not get out of bed unless between 4 to 10 grams per ton). That was in 2005 when the price of gold was less than 30% of what it is now.
1 to 18 grams per ton would sound about correct, therefore I think some of the recovery figures are underestimated.
Dredgemaster
Close but NO cigar.
SOMEONE WHO USES OTHER PEOPLES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY.
And does not have to dip into thier own pocket.
Dredgemaster
I dont read every post but see there are fors and dont knows and against. Manipulation is another Thing.
Labor and Prosper.
My pockets are deep my arms are short who am I?
Dredgemaster
Risk, NOW I UNDERSTAND.
Dredgemaster
You Know, I think you have hit the nail on the head.
Dredgemaster
Take the compressor, reciever. hoses from a Truck,
Buy 2 x 2 inch Honda pumps hoses.
Build a barge and mount a sluice.
Put simple venturi sys to feed sluice.
Specialy designed by Dredgemaster.
Most Dredges are designed to do this and will capture REEs.
Diamond Dredges you run slow and set the top sluice at about 13 degrees, they will capture Gold and REEs but the tonage per hour is Not great.
Gold Dredges sluice is set at about 15 to 18 degrees and you can push the tonage per hour right up.
The locals in SL set thier wash board sluice at 35 degrees and can wash 100 tons of gravel an hour.
You can see why my friend would be interested in a Specialy Designed Dredge, that looks to me to be portable, lightweight to carry through the bush to the river and can process a 50 ton a hour.
Specialy Designed, if it did not do what it said on the box then it is a legal issue.
Dredgemaster
They Have the Biggest Sugar Factory At MAGBURAKA near SNEYS concession. The most important man after the president is the Chinese Ambasador and a lovely man. Met Him at Queens Birthday Party at High Commission.
Dredgemaster
YOU can tell the people who know what they are talking about.
They do NOT have to go away for two hours to google info and come back as if they know it.
Dredgemaster
They will not.
Chineese Put the present Government in POWER and you know what that means.
They carried out a FREE? GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE WHOLE COUNTRY.
THEY CAN HAVE WHAT THEY WANT AND TIMIS CANT STOP THEM.
Dredgemaster
On the good side, they believe that 2% of the Iron ore tailings is REEs. Which would be obvious.
Dredgemaster
Rainmaker, You KNOW YOUR STUFF.
My point was not stock related.
More, people who work for them, or have an interest in them and have no idea what is going on untill it is too late.
Check out London Mining.
